Preparation of PMMA Marbles by Film Molding Method (필름 성형법에 의한 PMMA 인조석의 제조)

  • Two commercial processing methods have been used to produce poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) marbles; cell molding method and belt molding method. Cell molding method has low productivity and belt molding method has high equipment cost as well as high production cost. A new production method far PMMA marbles using plastic films as molds was studied in this investigation to overcome the shortcomings of cell molding and belt molding method. As plastic film molds for producing PMMA marbles, poly(vinyl acetate) film was used. A methyl methacrylate compound, which has good processability in film molding and shows good mechanical properties after curing, was prepared and used to produce PMMA marbles by film molding method. Properties of the PMMA marbles produced by film molding method were similar to, or higher than, those of commercial PMMA marbles produced by cell molding and belt molding method respectively. The film molding method is considered to have high possibility in commercial application.

  • The robot is the creation of new markets and various cooperation according to the manufacturing paradigm shift. Cooperative management easy for existing industrial robots, robots work on productivity, manpower to replace the robot in every industry cooperation for the purpose of and demand increases.to exist But the industrial robot at the scene of the cooperation working due to accidents are frequent, threatening the safety of the operator. Of industrial site is configured with a robot in an environment ensuring the safety of the operator to and confidence to communicate that can do the possibility of action.Robot guard system of the need for development cooperation. The robot's cooperation through the sensors and computer vision task within a radius of the double to prevent accidents and accidents should reduce the risk. International protocol for a variety of industrial production equipment and communications opc ua system based on ultrasonic sensors and cnn to (Convolution Neural Network) for video analytics. We suggest the cooperation with the robot guard system. Robots in a proposed system is unsafe situation of workers evaluating the possibility of control.

  • Efficiency of Process in manufacturing industry is a critical factor to connect directly to competitiveness of product. In particular, due to FTAs with various worlds around the world, the domestic and overseas manufacturing industries are facing intense competitions, and it requires elaborate task management system for shortening production time. This study aims at seeking how to raise efficiency of manufacturing process, using motion analysis solution. When improving the process of manufacturing after verifying optimization using motion analysis solution, it can save costs for additional process, modification, or supplement. It can also deduce practical effect to improve productivity of companies. It is expected that the study will contribute to improve wastes in the work field and task assignment efficiency, to shorten time replacing equipment, to measure standard time, and to standardize task system.

  • Concrete surface grinding is frequently used for flatness of concrete surface, concrete pavement rehabilitation, and adhesiveness in pavement construction. The procedure is, however, labor intensive and has a hazardous work condition. Also, the productivity and the quality of concrete surface grinding highly depend on the skills of worker. Thus, the development of remote controlled concrete surface grinding equipment is necessary to prevent the environmental pollution and to protect the workers from hazardous work condition. However, it is difficult to evaluate the grinded surface objectively in a remote controlled system. Also, The machine vision system developed in this study takes the images of grinded surface with the network camera for image processing. Then, by representing the quality test results to the integrated program of the remote control station, the quality control system is constructed. The machine vision algorithm means the image processing algorithm of grinded concrete surface and this paper presents the objective quality control standard of grinded concrete surface through the application of the suggested algorithm.

  • The development of the high-efficiency machine-tools equipment and new cutting tool materials with high hardness, heat- and wear-resistance has opened the way to application of high-speed cutting process. The basic argument of using of high-speed cutting processes is the reduction of time and the respective increase of machining productivity. In this sense, the spindle units may be regarded as one of the most important units, directly affecting many parameters of high-speed machining efficiency. One of the possible types of spindle units for high-speed cutting is the air-bearing type. In this paper, we propose the mathematical model of the dynamic behavior of the air-bearing spindle. To provide the high-level of speed capacity and spindle rotation accuracy we need the adequate model of "spindle-bearings" system. This model should consider characteristics of the interactions between system components and environment. To find the working characteristics of spindle unit we should derive the equations of spindle axis movement under the affecting factors, and solve these equations together with equations which describe the behavior of lubricant layer in bearing (bearing stiffness equations). In this paper, the three influence coefficients are introduced, which describe the center of spindle mass displacement, angle of shaft rotation around the axes under the unit force application and that under the unit torque application. These coefficients are operated in the system of differential equations, which describes the spindle axis spatial movement. This system is solved by Runge-Kutta method. Obtained trajectories and amplitude-frequency characteristics were then compared to experimental ones. The analysis shows good agreement between theoretical and experimental results, which confirms that the proposed model of air-bearing spindle is correctis correct

  • A guard lamp system has been installed at the PV positive center, located at Gwangju in Korea. Digital environment that is represented to internet is displacing business way of industry and business achievement way with the fast speed being giving great change on life whole, improve existence business process utilizing internet and Web connection technology, information superhighway to tradition industrialist manufacture and e-transformation's propulsion that wish to maximize productivity and administration efficiency is spread vigorously. In this paper, we wish to accomplish generation equipment's heighten stability and believability through remote monitoring and control of guard lamp system. This paper describes the design of the monitoring system for the sensing data and indirect controlling of the guard lamp system. Most of the conventional monitoring systems depend on the special hardware and software. The essential design of monitoring system is to provide the convenience for the user and the portability for the system. In order for the system to fulfill its requirements, it was designed using Labview GUI facility based on the Windows 2000 environment of IBM PC compatible and Add-on card based on the TCP/IP protocol. Advantage of the monitoring system are a personnel expenses curtailment effect, of the place restriction and unmanned system of the generation plants, etc..

3D-based Earthwork Planning and CO2 Emission Estimation for Automated Earthworks (자동화 토공을 위한 3D 토량배분과 탄소발생량 추정)

  • The former researches on earthwork automation were mainly focused on GPS and sensor application, environment modelling, equipment path planning, work information management, and remote control etc. Recently, reducing $CO_2$ emission becomes one of main focuses for an automation research. In the case of earthwork operations, many kinds of construction machines or robots are involved, which can cause high level of $CO_2$ in a construction site. An effective earthwork plan and construction machine operation can both increase productivity and safety and decrease $CO_2$ emission level. In this research, some automation concepts for green earthworks are suggested such as a 3D construction site model, a 3D earthwork distribution based on two different earthwork methods, and an earthwork package construction method. A excel-based simulator is developed to generate the 3D earthwork distribution and to estimate the level of $CO_2$ emission for the given earthwork.

Study of Shipbuilding Cost Estimation for Catamaran-type Leisure Boats Using Product Configuration Model (제품구성모델을 이용한 쌍동형 레저보트 건조공수 추정 연구)

  • The leisure boat industry has the potential to become a high-value-added industry in the future. Recently, a study on Korean high-speed leisure boats for fishing was conducted. This study suggests a product configuration model-based shipbuilding cost estimation method for determining the type of leisure boat suitable for mass production, as part of a research for productivity improvement. The suggested estimation method based on the analysis of the leisure boat process and generic YWBS can calculate quantitative and concrete data. By using this method, the cost of building the catamaran-type design ship can be reduced by 17 times, compared to that of the monohull-type mother ship. This implies that the final design of the Korean high-speed leisure boat for fishing will have a competitive price at the actual production stage.

High Quality Tissue Miniarray Technique Using a Conventional TV/Radio Telescopic Antenna

  • Background: The tissue microarray (TMA) is widely accepted as a fast and cost-effective research tool for in situ tissue analysis in modern pathology. However, the current automated and manual TMA techniques have some drawbacks restricting their productivity. Our study aimed to introduce an improved manual tissue miniarray (TmA) technique that is simple and readily applicable to a broad range of tissue samples. Materials and Methods: In this study, a conventional TV/radio telescopic antenna was used to punch tissue cores manually from donor paraffin embedded tissue blocks which were pre-incubated at $40^{\circ}C$. The cores were manually transferred, organized and attached to a standard block mould, and filled with liquid paraffin to construct TmA blocks without any use of recipient paraffin blocks. Results: By using a conventional TV/radio antenna, it was possible to construct TmA paraffin blocks with variable formats of array size and number ($2-mm{\times}42$, $2.5-mm{\times}30$, $3-mm{\times}24$, $4-mm{\times}20$ and $5-mm{\times}12$ cores). Up to $2-mm{\times}84$ cores could be mounted and stained on a standard microscopic slide by cutting two sections from two different blocks and mounting them beside each other. The technique was simple and caused minimal damage to the donor blocks. H&E and immunostained slides showed well-defined tissue morphology and array configuration. Conclusions: This technique is easy to reproduce, quick, inexpensive and creates uniform blocks with abundant tissues without specialized equipment. It was found to improve the stability of the cores within the paraffin block and facilitated no losses during cutting and immunostaining.

Simulation of Efficient Flow Control for FAB of Semiconductor Manufacturing (반도체 FAB 공정에서의 효율적 흐름제어를 위한 시뮬레이션)

  • The ultimate goal of flow control in the semiconductor fabrication process, one of the most equipment-intensive and complex manufacturing process, is to reduce lead time and work in process. In this paper, we propose stand alone layout in the form of job shop using group technology to improve the Productivity and eliminate the inefficiency in FMS (flexible manufacture system). The performance of stand alone layout and in-line layout are analyzed and compared while varying number of device variable chanties. The analysis of in-line layout is obtained by examining its adoption in the memory products of semiconductor factory. The comparison is performed through simulation using ProSys; a window 95 based discrete system simulation software, as a tool for comparing performance of two proposed layouts. The comparison demonstrates that when the number of device variable change is small, in-line layout is more efficient in terms of production Quantity. However, as the number of device variable change is more than 14 times, stand alone layout prevails over in-line layout.
