^x The enviroment defines the living conditions for people and has at the same time the possibility to create new environment. In Korea, where the rate of urbanization reached more than 50% in 1970′s the priority has been put on the economic development and administrative function. Under the circumstance, visual environmental field was dealt lightly and it resulted in undesirable environment. The techniques of Mordern Arts (Montage, Depeysment, Tromp L′oeil, P.O.P Art, etc.) helped Super Graphics appear in the urban areas. Environmental Art has been expended into the public space and people came to recognize the Arts as the "Street Art" or "Street as Gallery". Super Graphics has four types 1) Resident′s Super Graphics ; Minority groups came to maintain social equality and rights, in cooperation with each other. Such maintenance required general urbanites to form communities which gave birth to the community art, Mural Painting. 2) Environmental Super Graphics ; Beauty has come to be stressed in order to improve the quality of urban lives in the course of inescapable urban development. Instead of renewal of all established construction conservation oriented renewal was encouraged. 3) Super Graphics as Population Arts ; In the 1960′s artists repulsed the establishments in an efforts to open new phase independent from the expressional in the arts. They recognized the relationship between painting, society and the public in different angle and tried to describe all living space on canvas. 4) Super Graphics as Advertisement ; Super Graphics functions as efficient media to deliver images to the urbanites. Super Graphics as media plays the role for political propaganda and commercial advertisements according to their purposes. In Korea, especially, it is required to introduce the environmental Super Graphics. But it is desirable to introduce Super Graphics with Korean culture and sense of beauty. Designers themselves are also required to have responsibility to improve the quality of urban culture.

A software for prediction of apartment noise level ihas been improved. The program is based on the ray tracing technique which has been widely used in the environmental noise analysis and prediction. Especially for prediction of environmental noise in apartment complex, this program is advanced in the graphics routine by bilinear interpolation. In this paper, we analyze the railway noise distribution in apartment environment and develop a 3D graphics routine for illustrating the noise level.

지하공간은 방위감각의 상실에서 오는 위치적 제한으로 인공적 표지환경에 의해 위치 및 행동방향을 결정해야 하는 부정적 환경요소가 많다. 따라서 시각언어로서의 환경그래픽이 대중적 표지기능을 갖기 위해서는 상징적 의미의 기호이론에서 연구되어야 하나 안목의 활용형태가 반복되고 지하철 관리체계의 다원화로 체계적 관리가 소홀하여 시각언어로서의 의미를 잃어가고 있다. 연구의 결과, 형태의 원인으로서 제공되는 시각적 지하 환경요소는 시각언어의 Communication 측면을 충분히 고려한 연구의 기초 위에서 도입, 관리되어야 한다고 보며, 따라서 지하 환경그래픽을 행태 유도 적 표지기능의 기호현상으로 볼 때 통사론적 기호현상과 은유적 표현으로서 화용 론, 활용형태로서의 의미론의 관점에서 연구되어야한다. 특히 색채언어, 형채 언어 등 시각적 환경요소가 내포적 의미의 보편적 표지기능이 되기 위해서는 뚜렷이 구분되는 시각언어가 활용되어야 한다.

To prevent unwanted visual impacts of proposed projects before they are actually built, Visual Impact Assessment(VIA) is conducted in current landscape planning and management process. The application of VIA to actual projects raises some important questions: "What views will the project affect?" "What tools and techniques are effective for predicting and portraying future landscape conditions?" "Who should determine the value of the impacts?" and "How can the impacts be measured?" Types and levels of visual impacts should be decided through analyzing both the existing landscape and the proposed project. Computer-based visual simulations will play a pivotal role as effective prediction and communication tools. With professionals' assistance, the public participation in the VIA process will produce meaningful solutions for planning and managing the future landscape. Also, the use of a proper response format and sensitive assessment criteria in measuring the public's opinion will enrich outcomes of the assessment. Based on the methodological framework, the case study briefly explains an application of VIA to an actual project.

본 논문에서는 Face-offsetting 기법을 적용하여 형상 내부의 중립면을 생성하고 영역을 분할한 후 육면체 요소망을 자동 생성하는 기법을 제안하였다. 제안된 기법이 육면체 요소망 생성을 위한 영역 분할에 사용될 수 있음을 검증하기 위하여 2종의 모델에 대한 요소망을 생성하고, 이의 형상비와 Jacobian 값을 기존의 방법들과 비교하여 품질을 평가하였다. 이를 통하여 Face-offsetting 기법을 이용한 중립면 생성과 영역 분할이 육면체 요소망 자동 생성에 효과적으로 사용될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

스트럿-타이 모델 방법은 응력교란영역을 갖는 콘크리트 구조부재의 설계에 효과적인 방법으로 알려져 있으며, 세계 주요 설계기준서에 채택되고 있다. 그러나 스트럿-타이 모델 방법에 의한 콘크리트 구조부재의 설계과정은 스트럿-타이 모델의 형성, 스트럿 및 타이의 필요단면적의 결정, 스트럿 및 절점영역의 강도검토 등으로 인한 반복적인 수치해석과정, 많은 도식적 계산과정, 엄청난 시간과 노력, 그리고 여러 단계에서의 설계자의 주관적인 판단 등을 필요로 하는 단점을 내포하고 있다. 이 연구에서는 스트럿-타이 모델 설계과정 상의 단점을 극복하여 모든 콘크리트 구조부재의 스트럿-타이 모델 해석 및 설계를 전문적이며 효과적으로 수행할 수 있는 컴퓨터 그래픽 프로그램을 개발하였다. 이 연구의 컴퓨터 그래픽 프로그램은 평면고체 및 평면트러스의 선형 및 재료비선형 해석을 위한 모든 종류의 경계조건을 소화할 수 있는 유한요소해석 프로그램, 스트럿 및 절점영역 유효강도의 자동적 결정을 위한 수치해석 프로그램, 다양한 형태의 스트럿 및 절점영역의 형상 결정을 위한 그래픽 프로그램 등을 포함한 콘크리트 구조부재의 스트럿-타이 모델 해석 또는 설계과정 상에 필요한 모든 프로그램을 탑재하고 있다. 이 연구의 프로그램은 그래픽 환경을 접목시킨 여러 다양한 기능을 통해 콘크리트 구조부재의 모델링 및 스트럿-타이 모델 해석 및 설계 시 뛰어난 효율성과 편의성을 제공할 것이다.

In this study and design, I explore the visual communication design process related to wayfinding in Wonkwang University Hospital in Iksan City. The purpose for designing an integrated is to graphically communicate the complex information. I have designed a graphic information system combining graphic elements such as typography, color, image and text layout, and graphic image to present interpretive and communicative processes. As a result of designing, the wayfinding is s term used to describe the program of applying environmental graphics and or architectural sign systems. In other words, wayfinding is the art of helping people find their way by utilizing visual communications such as signs, directories, landmarks, edges, paths and so on. Wayfinding can also be explained as the ability to know where one is in space and how to find one's way through space. Wayfinding design then becomes a systematic arrangement of the variables that allows patients and visitors to successfully find their desired destinations, especially in a hospital.

환경문제는 인류가 직면한 중요한 문제 중의 하나이다. 더 많은 사람들이 환경보호 의식을 불러일으키기 위한 환경보호 주제의 홍보포스터 디자인의 효과적인 시각적 의미전달과 표현방법을 연구하고자 한다. 시각디자인 영역에서 매우 중요하다. 본 연구는 문자 도형을 미니멀리즘의 표현수법으로 환경보호 포스터를 디자인하는 방법을 연구하고자 한다.
