  • The objective of this study is to enforce systematic evaluation on the present condition and ecosystem of coastal wetland to use frame of environmental indicators. For this, the indicators for evaluation of coastal wetland are established and are applied to the present condition. Then, the application possibility of this evaluation indicators and management method by group of coastal method are presented.

수학적 모델 및 퍼지 추론에 의한 고도 활성슬러지 공정의 통합 평가 (Integrated Evaluation of Advanced Activated Sludge Processes Based on Mathematical Model and Fuzzy Inference)

  • 현재 강화된 방류수 수질 기준에 발맞춰 질소 인 제거를 포함한 고도처리 공정을 건설 중이거나 기존 표준활성슬러지 공정에서 고도처리공정으로의 개선이 추진되어지고 있다. 그러나 다양한 고도처리공정의 적용을 검토함에 있어 제거 효율 측면에서의 단순 평가만이 사용되고 있다. 따라서 고도처리공정 적용 시 제거 효율 뿐 아니라 슬러지 생산, 포기 비용 등을 복합적으로 평가할 수 있는 방법이 필요하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 표준활성슬러지 공정으로 운영 중인 S 하수처리장을 Biological nutrient removal(BNR) 공정으로 개선할 경우를 가정한 대안 공정 평가 방법을 제안하였다. 시간적, 비용적 장점을 가지며 객관적인 평가 기준으로 대두되고 있는 수학적 모델을 이용한 시뮬레이션을 통해 대안 공정으로 선정된 Anaerobic/anoxic/oxic ($A^2$/O), Virginia initiative plant (VIP), Daewoo nutrient removal (DNR) 공정에 대해 평가하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과를 바탕으로 공정의 처리 성능 뿐 아니라 슬러지 생산량 및 에너지 효율을 포함한 5가지 성능 지수들을 적용함으로써 개별 항목간의 비교 평가가 가능하였으며, 최적 공정을 제시하기 위한 객관적 판단과정을 퍼지 추론을 통하여 구현하였다.

  • 도로건설에 대한 환경영향평가제도는 대부분의 사업이 타당성조사와 병행하여 실시하지 않고 계획이 확정된 후 사업실시단계에서 주로 오염의 저감방안을 검토하고 있어 입지의 타당성 등 근본적인 친환경적인 개발의 유도에 한계가 있다. 본 연구에서는 9개의 사전환경성 검토요소에 대한 지리정보체계의 공간분석기능을 도입하였으며, 개별 요소들의 평가결과를 통한 종합적인 검토를 수행할 수 있도록 사전 환경성검토 GIS 의사결정시스템을 구축하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 사전환경성 검토 GIS 의사결정시스템과 기 구축된 GIS 데이터 활용을 통해 환경성 검토에 객관성 충족 및 시간비용 절감이 기대되어 사업초기에 도로 노선선정 시 사전환경성 검토에 활용 가능할 것이다. 또한, 본 연구에서 개발된 시스템을 통하여 수치적이고 시각적인 자료를 활용한 평가로 주민의 합의를 보다 용이하게 이끌어 낼 수 있고, 사업초기에 비용과 시간을 절감하면서 도로건설에 따른 환경성을 검토할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest a landscape resources evaluation strategy of rural waterfront villages along the river. This strategy consists of three phases: 1) an evaluation of rural amenity landscape resources, 2) an evaluation of water landscape resources, and 3) development of a positioning map based on the results of phase 1) and 2) the study result as follows. First, the evaluation method used in phase 1) was modified as a set of proposed evaluation indicators to assess development potential on rural waterfront villages. Second, to evaluate water landscape resources in rural waterfront villages, a series of evaluation index was developed including water area, diversity of water resources, biodiversity, and landscape quality. And the last, the positioning map showed relative position of waterfront villages obtained from two evaluation results: rural amenity landscape resources and water landscape resources. The study examined the proposed strategy as a possible alternative to evaluate landscape quality to 398 rural waterfront villages along the Han River. Landscape resources evaluation strategy proposed here could contribute to government officials and planners to operate systematic planning and management of rural waterfront villages.

  • 산업에서 발생할 수 있는 각종 위험을 발굴하고 제어하는 리스크관리에서 기업의 지속 가능한 발전을 목표로 ESG(환경·사회·지배구조)경영을 도입하고 있다. 앞으로는 기업 지속가능성에 대한 가치 판단 도구로써 ESG 평가가 더욱 활용될 것이다. 이러한 ESG 평가를 활용하여 기업의 사고 예방 정도를 관리하고 있다. 현행 ESG 평가체계에 대한 형태소 분석을 통하여 안전에 대한 평가항목을 분석하여, ESG에서 활용 가능한 정량적 '안전평가지표'가 미흡함을 알았다. 본 연구에서는 국내외 산업 사고 데이터를 분석하고 집중 관리가 필요한 '사고 기여 인자'를 도출했으며, 해당 결과를 기반으로 보완이 필요한 주요 안전관리 항목을 선정했다. 선정한 항목들은 '사고 예방 관리'에 적합한 평가 요소로 최적화시키는 과정을 거쳐, ESG 안전 평가지표를 개발하였다.

  • World Business Council for Sustainable Development(WBCSD) is effort to achieve sustainable development in economic growth, environmental preservation and social development. Being this way, it is essential for developing evaluation tool which quantify to fulfill sustainable development. Eco-efficiency is one of the quantitative tools to evaluate environmental impact and economic aspect. Eco-efficiency, in general term, means creating more value of product or services with less impact to environment. It indicates as environmental impact in denominator and value of product or services in numerator. Eco-efficiency shows how much economic value reveals to unit environmental impact caused by product or service as an indicator. This study aims at developing eco-efficiency indicator of railway industry considering use stage among the entire life cycle stage of KTX and Saemaul train and also, figure out eco-efficiency value through indicator. Therethrough, it is enables to evaluate created value per environmental aspects. Since rail vehicles demands a lot of energy to transport people during use stage, the environmental impact is more significant than other lkfe cycle stages. Therefore, it quantified environmental indicator as CO2 emission and economic indicator as transportation record per a year with an annual income. This study contributes to be used as a tool for quantifying indicator of comparison evaluation in respect of rail vehicle in use stage.

건축재료 LCI DB 기반의 공동주택 부위별 환경영향 평가 프로그램 개발 및 적용에 관한 연구 (The development and application of environmental impact assessment program for apartment building element based on building materials LCI DB)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to develop and apply an environmental impact assessment program for apartment building elements, based on the building materials of the LCI DB, which can link the LCA results of building materials and buildings. Method: For this purpose, a framework for building elements was established, and several building material combinations were developed. In addition, the LCA method for quantifying environmental load emissions from the building materials of each site was applied to establish an environmental impact database of the building materials of the LCI DB. Result: An environmental impact assessment program, based on a Microsoft Excel worksheet, was developed for apartment building elements. This program can link the environmental impact assessment of building materials and building units. To validate the program evaluation results that were obtained in this study, a comparative analysis was carried out using the results of existing evaluation methods. The error rate was estimated to be 5% for environmental impact assessment using existing evaluation methods.

  • The purpose of this study was to develope an Inquiry-Based Environmental Education Program for Elementary School Students by Using DO meter based on the theory of the inquiry-based environmental education. The developed program consisted of 5 constituents of Environmental Studies for the Environmental Education (ESEE) and was applied to the 6th grade students of elementary school. The inquiry activities have been conducted around Gigyechon stream in Pohang city where the school was located. The evaluation form to evaluate the environmental education programs in the perspective of the Inquiry-Based Environmental Education was developed and used to evaluate after applying the developed programs. As a result, it was known that the developed programs have been well constructed and this program would help fostering the environmental understanding of the world. And also the inquiry-based environmental education was suitable for the environmental education targeting the elementary school students. This study has a significance in the perspective that the concept and the theory of inquiry-based environmental education has been realized into the program suitable for the elementary school students and that the new direction of the environmental education for the elementary school has been suggested. In addition, the developed evaluation form to assess the effectiveness of the program is expected to be helpful for the future studies related to development of the inquiry-based environmental education programs.

굴곡된 협수로 통항에서 조반자의 주관적 위험감지도와 조종인난도와의 상관관계에 관한 기초 연구 (A Study on the Correlation between Shiphandler's Subjective Evaluation and Maneuvering Difficulty in Curved Narrow Channel)

  • The assesment of the safety of ship's transit in a curved narrow channel consists of the maneuvering safety determined by the chance of running aground, the maneuvering difficulty determined by ship's workload, and shiphandler's subjective evaluation. In this study, to examine the correlation between shiphandler's subjective evaluation and the maneuvering safety, the real-time and full-mission shiphandling simulator in the Korea Marine Training & Research Institute(KMTRI) was utilized. On the conning bridge of the shiphandling simulator, 50 experienced masters have conducted the modeled vessel of 60, 000 deadweight tonnage along the designed channel under 3 different environmental conditions. It was possible to assess and analyze theoretically the correlation between the shiphandler's subjective evaluation and maneuvering difficulty under each environmental condition by quantifying the data obtained from the tests. The results are as follows: $\circled1$ As the degree of maneuvering difficulty increases, the shiphandler's subjective evaluation increases in the designed channel under the designed environmental condition. $\circled2$ In the straight area, not the bend of the designed channel, maneuvering difficulty increases sharply under the environmental condition of current and wind coming from the stern.
