STS 프로그램이 중학생들의 환경 문제에 대한 태도와 학업 성취도에 미치는 효과 (Effects of STS Program on Environmental Education)

  • The development of science and technology not only improved the quality of life of human being, but also brought about environmental problems. Consequently, consensus has been established that early environmental education for youngsters is critical for the preservation of clean environment. A conventional way of teaching has not been very effective for changing their attitude and behavior regarding environmental problems. STS program, which has been one of the major trend in science education, intends to teach science through everyday experience rather than knowledge. This study purports to examine the effectiveness of STS program on environmental problems compared to conventional teaching method. Six week program was developed and applied to subchapter 'Environmental Pollutions & Our Lives' of 3rd grade middle school science text book. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. 1. STS program was significantly effective in changing students' attitude(p<.001). It was effective not only changing their thinking but also changing their behavior. 2. There was no difference between the STS program and conventional teaching method in improving students' knowledge(p>.05). 3. The correlation between the level of knowledge achievement and the attitude on environment was very low(r=.0564,p>.05).

  • 최근 드론 같은 무인 이동체에 대한 관심과 일상생활에 활용이 늘어나면서 많은 다양한 분야에서 이를 이용하는 응용 사례가 급속도로 확산되고 있다. 하지만 이러한 무인 이동체는 쉽게 외부 환경 요인으로 인한 균형 이탈이나 추락 등의 사고로 이어질 수 있는 많은 위험 요인을 내포하고 있다. 이러한 무인 이동체의 안전한 운용을 위하여 안정적인 자세 제어 알고리즘은 매우 중요한 부분을 차지하고 있으며 현재 널리 사용되고 있는 PID 제어 알고리즘은 거의 완벽한 단계의 자세 제어 기술을 선보이고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 자세 제어 방법과는 달리 보다 외부 환경적인 요인으로 부터 안정적이고 지속적인 자세 제어를 할 수 있는 퍼지 로직을 기반으로 하는 스마트 자세 제어 알고리즘을 제안하고 모의실험을 통하여 기존의 방법과 그 성능을 비교 분석하고자 한다.

PBL을 적용한 환경수업이 대학생들의 환경소양에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Environmental Classes Using PBL on Environmental Literacy of University Student Toward the Environmental Problem)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect on the university student' attitude toward environmental problem with PBL. The controlled group consisted of 80 students who was applied PBL and experimental group was applied a traditional teaching method was consisted with 80 students. The results is as follows ; First, there was a statistically meaningful differences in attitudes toward environment between two group(F=52.789, p<0.1). It shows that PBL is very effective in attitude toward environment. Second, there was a more meaningful increasing effect of student' consciousness of environmental problems before and after environmental education on the controlled group which was applied PBL than experimental group which was applied a traditional teaching method. Finally, in the literacy education of university student' related with environment problems recommend that PBL is more effective than that of traditional teaching method.

최종사용자 컴퓨팅의 성패 영향요인 연구 (A Study on the Factors Affecting the Success of End-User Computing)

  • Using end-user attitude as intervening variable, this paper proposes a causal model of how environmental factors of EUC influence end-user computing (EUC) success, measured by the degree of IS use. This study identifies unique aspects of the EUC environment and generates key dimensions of end-user attitude appropriate for this context : perceived information quality, perceived design quality, and perceived usefulness. The research model includes six environmental factors - top management support, end-user education, task variability, task analyzability, end-user's computing ability, and end-user involvement. A field study was undertaken to test the hypothesized relationships among the research variables. The results generally support the assumption that end-user attitude intervene the impact of environmental factors on IS use. The implications of the findings are discussed.

환경의식의 측정을 위한 설문지 개발과 검증 (Devleopment and Verification of Questionnaire for Measurement of Environmental Attitude)

  • This study was conducted to develop the questionnaire for the measurement of environmental attitudes and test its reliability and validity. Development and valiadation of the 46 survey items that measure environmental attitudes were described. The total of 3 surveys were conducted and the total of 510 persons including diverse sample groups were questionnaired. The SAS $PC^+$ package program was used in both the reliability analysis and the validity analysis of surveyed data. Results revealed the very high reliability and the high validity of the questionnaire. The reliability of the finalized questionnaire was increased to the level of Cronbach-$\alpha$ 0.92 after the repeated reliability analyses and revisions of the firstly and secondly designed questionnaires. The validity of our questionnaire was sufficiently affirmed through the use and aplication of factor analysis and known-groups technique.

PBL을 적용한 환경 수업이 중학생들의 환경에 대한 태도와 지역 생태 및 환경 문제의 관심도에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Environmental Classes Using PBL on Middle School Students' Attitudes toward the Environment and Their Concern to Regional Ecology and Environmental Problems)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect on the middle school students' attitude toward environment and interest in regional ecology and environment problem with PBL. The experimental group was made up with 96 students who were sampled for this study, and PBL program was applied to this group. The controlled group consisted of 103 students who were sampled this study, and traditional teaching method was applied to this group. The result is as follows: First, there was a statistically meaningful difference in attitude toward environment between two groups(F=51.929, p<0.1). It shows that PBL is very effective in attitude toward environment. Second, there was a statistically meaningful difference in interest for regional ecology and environment problem between two groups(F=9.707, p<0.1). It shows that PBL is an effective way to take learners' interest in regional ecology and environment problem. Third, The interview result shows that students who were applied to PBL comprehensed causes, solution and importances of the environment problem. Furthermore, the self-directed learning in PBL can make learners control their learning.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop an education for sustainable development(ESD) program using community resources in Paju and to investigate the influences on ESD competencies of 6th graders. The community resources used were Unjeong lake park, environmental circulation center, environmental management center, currency museum, butterfly museum, experience center for peaceful unification, Yulgok arboretum, and Jangsan observatory. The newly developed program was related to creative-experience activity and composed of 15 sessions for 6th-grade class in elementary school, including all of the environmental, economic, and social aspects of ESD. Two classes of the 6th grade were divided into the experimental group and the control group. The results to examine the effects of the program were as follows. First, it was proven that ESD program using community resources did not help improving the perception and function competencies of learners except for the thinking abilities. Second, it contributed to the improvement of learners' attitude competencies, especially in self-reflective attitude and other-oriented attitude. Also, according to in-depth interview, the students were constantly developing their values for sustainable development, reflecting their thoughts and behaviors in a reflective way and improving their attitude toward life.

환경 친화적 소비자 교육이 생태 발자국에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Eco-Friendly Consumer Education on Ecological Footprint)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the change in ecological footprint made by the eco-friendly consumer education program, and ultimately, to help the high school students, future consumers, have eco-friendly attitude. This study will be contributed to helping them to understand the importance of the eco-friendly consumption and the seriousness of the environmental problems arising from their bad consumption habit, to get interested in the environmental problems in daily lives, and to reduce the ecological footprint through the eco-friendly habit acquired when young. This study is designed to have 60 high school students experience the eco-friendly consumer education program for 10 months and compare the levels of each ecological footprint though two different Questionnaires in five sections: housing, food, transportation, purchase, and waste. The program used in this research consists of three parts: eco-friendly attitude education for consumers, eco-friendly citizen education for consumers, and eco-friendly resource management education for consumers. The data are analyzed by SPSS Window 10.0 program. The findings are as follows: First. The eco-friendly consumer education is more likely to help the students develop critical thought and eco-friendly attitude, unlike the economy-related consumer education. Second. The level of ecological footprint is significantly decreased in the group with the eco-friendly consumer education program. compared to the group without it. Third. Experiencing the eco-friendly consumer education program helps the students have the positive attitude on ecology and lead an environmentally sustainable consumer life. The results show that eco-friendly consumer education can make a contribution to raising the good citizens who have eco-friendly attitude and behavior, lead sustainable consumer life, and try to reduce the level of ecological footprint.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 호텔의 최고경영자의 친환경적인 태도가 호텔 직원들과 직속상사와 동료그룹들에게 Sobel z 테스트를 사용하여 녹색경영 프로세스를 구현하는 동안 어떻게 영향을 미치는지에 대한 조사이다. 첫째, 최고경영자의 환경적인 태도는 직속상사와 동료그룹의 환경적인 태도에 상당히 긍정적인 효과가 있다. 둘째, 직속상사와 동료그룹의 환경적인 태도, 호텔고용의 녹색 경영은 가치적 사명감 또는 규범적 사명감에 상당한 긍정적인 효과를 가지고 있다. 셋째, 직속상사와 동료그룹의 환경적인 태도와 최고경영자의 친환경적인 태도 그리고 호텔 직원의 가치적 사명감과 규범적 사명감 사이에는 긍정적인 매개 효과가 있다. 따라서 호텔의 최고 경영자의 녹색경영의지의 구현에서 직속상사와 동료그룹의 강력한 지원이 업무현장에서의 호텔 고용을 위하여 필요하다는 결론을 내릴 수 있다.

  • This study examined the effect on the education of scientific attitude in the process of primary school education by application of STS teaching-learning method with an unit of 6th grade in primary school "environmental pollution and nature conservation". The attitude relating science education, on the other side, is classified into 4 parts; attitude for science, social meaning of science, attitude for science subject and scientific attitude. The study of sexual difference on the above points was examined too. The results was taken as follows. 1. STS Teaching-learning method gives positive effect on the education of scientific attitude more than traditional teaching method, especially on the point of the attitude of science lesson and scientific attitude. 2. STS education has an great influence on the social meaning of the scientific attitude relating science education , investment in science, relation with society, solving social problem, contribution to development of society and technology 3. STS teaching-teaming is thought to be the learning that is more effective for boy than girl. In conclusion The STS Teaching-loaming method is preferable in order to increase the scientific attitude of the Elementary school students. students.
