Korean country-specific-advantage factors on Chinese consumer's buying intention of Korean rice: focus on the Shanghai area

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate how subcategories of the country-specific-advantage (CSA), which has been discussed in previous studies, affect the buying intention of Korean rice. After reviewing existing studies and examining research models based on them, a research model was verified by questionnaires and statistical analysis. The results of the surveys and statistical analyses reveal that the CSA factors presented in previous studies can also be applied in the context of Korean rice products. The results show that environmental resource, cultural resource and visual element factors influenced the buying intention through perceived quality. In addition, cultural resource perception factors have a direct effect on buying intention. This is consistent with previous studies showing that emotional communication approaches are ineffective for products that are perceived to have functional characteristics. Based on the results of this study, it was confirmed that CSA factors are suitable for the product and export target area. Strategic implications are suggested in that it is necessary to build marketing strategies to improve the perceived quality by the four factors. The theoretical implications are as follows. The sub-factors that constitute COI may have a negative effect and a positive effect; thus, it is necessary to utilize CSA when considering the product and country characteristics. The CSA factors revealed in previous studies are also significant in other regions and products. Finally, the theoretical implication is that consumers use CSA as a clue to evaluate quality.

  • Wien Automatic System Planning Package (WASP) which is used to draw out generation expansion planning applies Dynamic Programming in Korea power system panning. While this package has an advantage that computes annual capacity, it has a disadvantage that can't consider environmental constraints. With the effectuation of the Kyoto Protocol in February, 2005, it is expected that CO2 emission has a severe effect on Korean power system. Therefore, as the most important issue, the generation expansion planning considering environmental constraints is rising in power system. This paper develops a mathematic model including not only generation expansion planning but transmission planning and considering regional supply-demand and environmental constraints, especially CO2 emission, and verifies propriety through the case study.

Impact of Environmental Concern on Image of Internal GSCM Practices and Consumer Purchasing Behavior

  • As environmental concerns continue to grow, green supply chain management (GSCM) is attracting attention as an element of competitive advantage for companies. This study examined internal GSCM practices to show how they influenced the end-point of the supply chain from the perspective of the end-consumer. It identified the effects of environmental concerns on consumer purchasing behavior mediated by the company image of internal GSCM practices. Data were collected through an email survey of Korean consumers. Reliability and validity were verified using SPSS 18.0. Cronbach's alpha, and confirmatory factor analysis. The results showed that environmental concerns had a positive impact on such practices, and the image of internal GSCM practices was found to have a significantly positive effect on consumer purchasing behavior. Companies will have to actively reflect environmental factors in their operational activities, and GSCM implementation will become a necessity. A positive image of internal environmental management and eco-design, which are key elements of internal GSCM practices, strengthened the company's eco-friendly image and ultimately affected consumer purchasing behavior. This suggests that it is important for companies to evaluate their environmental attitude and make eco-friendly products from a consumer's perspective, making it a differentiation strategy for a company in building an eco-friendly corporate image.

Environmental marketing is the marketing that minimizes the reverse function so as to obtain the satisfactory result, and it is still in the stage of fundamental investigation. stage. As the concept and type of environmental marketing have not been established yet for interior design, environmental marketing currently applied to indoor space is classified Into three types in this study. Through the four types of environmental marketing, which are the introduction of natural elements to indoor space, the use of eco-friendly materials and the use of sustainable materials, renovation it is intend to derive the environmental marketing strategy and present the sequence of strategy establishment and desirable direction in environmental marketing.

  • If we build new building after demolition of commercial building that is located in the downtown, it will be caused a social and environmental problem as wasting of resources and generating of waste. In this study, I investigated about remodel ins, this conclusion is given below. 1. Reconstruction cost is 2.1 times, and construction period is 1.4 times as much remodeling. So remodeling has an advantage. 2. For repairing and reinforcing timeworn building, we reinforced it as using carbon fiber sheet (girder, slab) and injecting method steel plate bonding Also, we tried to maintain efficiency of new building as using epoxy to protect concrete crack. 3. In the side of waste products and cost, remodeling has much more advantage than reconstruct. But demolition used construction period much. Because it had to be reused as repairing and reinforcing. And there was no difference between remodeling cost and reconstruct cost. If we develop research with enterprise.university.laboratory to exploit material and equipment and to train specialized engineer who will has a capacity to know construct repair and reinforce, it can be attribute to prevail remodeling in new construct market.

  • Since the last decade, the fisheries industry in Korea has faced many difficulties in terms of comparative economic advantage partly because of marine environmental damage caused by Pollution and coastal reclamation, and partly because of too expensive production factors like labor. In addition, new order of world trade created by Uruguay Round will force the Korean fisheries industry to prepare some remedies including a joint-venture business with China for international compatativeness. As a result, this paper mainly deals with an analysis on feasibility of Sino-Korean joint cooperation in fisheries business. Especially, the Shandong Province in China is expected to take advantage of its geographical proximity to Koreas well as of its abundance in marine natural resources in order to achieve a fast economic growth. Thus, for the next decade to come, it would be very important for the Korean fisheries industry to cope with the international fisheries market by the Sino-Korean joint-venture combining the capital and technology from Korea with the cheap labor and favorable marine environment for aquaculture from China.

Factors Affecting the Introduction of the Internet by Fashion Companies (패션 기업의 인터넷 도입의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to establish which factors were considered when fashion companies discussed the intention of employing the internet in various capacities. A total of 228 candidates were surveyed between 17-11-07 and 17-01-08. The collected data was used to conduct various descriptive and comparative analyses. Firstly, environmental factors considered important were internal pressure, external pressure and uncertainty of the market. Organizational factors considered important were support of the chief executive officer, capacity of the organization and future directivity. Profit factors considered important were elevation of the business, customer relationship management, advantage of the internet and reduction of expenses. Prohibitive factors considered important were miscellaneous expenses, secession of the customer, internal opposition of the organization and convertible expenses. Secondly, fashion companies regarded internal pressure, external pressure, support of the chief executive officer, capacity of the organization, future directivity, elevation of the business, customer relationship management, advantage of the internet and miscellaneous expenses as important when discussing the introduction of the internet.

  • Recently advanced countries are making every effort to promote the efficiency of electric power production and supply, to deal with the environmental problems, and to develop the new energy. In particular, they are driving forward to develop various technologies for electric power in mid-long term, that are technology for building infrastructure of power transportation, establishing service network for account management using electronic technologies, elevating economic productivity by innovative electronic technologies, control-ling the discharge of global warming gas, using clean efficient energy, and so forth. However, power technology of Korea lagged behind than technology of advanced countries. Also, resources for developing power technology are limited in our country. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the efficiency of R&D investment. For it, our country must compare and analyze with technologies of advanced countries which are taking competitive advantage in the main future energy. Through comparative analysis, limited R&D resources of our country must be concentrated on technologies that can secure competitive advantage from now on.

A Study on Electricity Generation of Marine Sediment Cells (해양 퇴적토전지의 발전 특성에 대한 연구)

  • Sediment cell is renewable energy which produces electric energy using immanent ingredients or reducing power of marine sediment as natural resources. Also the cell has an advantage that environmental pollution can be reduced through conversion of organic and inorganic contaminants into inert matter with generation of the energy. In this paper, we compared characteristics of electricity generation of the two different sediment cells, and investigated the regeneration effect of the sediment cells with manipulation of the sediment such as mixing and re-positioning. The results showed that 14.1 $W/m^2$ of power was obtained with the aluminum electrode, and the mixing of the sediment could increase the power by 4 $W/m^2$ compared to the control. Also, mixing the sediment has kept electricity for 4 weeks at a relatively constant level, which implied 'fuel regeneration effect'. Meanwhile, the sediment cell was proved to be effective in reduction of COD, which was up to 28.6%.

  • In this paper, traditional residential architecture in South Korea appear to approach environmental regulation as part of ecological architecture of regional climate controlled environment, according to the characteristics and spatial arrangement, and material to the environment was described as a controlled manner. The scope of this study was not large scale housing construction from traditional chusagotaek, yunjeunggotaek, yangjindang, dokrakdang target was the case.
