  • Several policy measures related to green tourism have been enforced from 2001 by Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF). Rural Development Administration(RDA). Ministry of Environment(ME) and Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs(MGAHA). These have to be introduced and managed of their own accord and autonomously. Also, the rural community that has been promoting green tourism must be harmonized with its natural environment, namely natural scenery and rural culture, which provide urban residents with amenity and rurality. So green tourism had better be based on environmental-friendly agriculture because it offers safe foods and areas, many creatures to see and play around. To manage green tourism sustainable, it if important for rural and urban residents to come into close relation and to trade in organic products each other. Lastly, the region bounds in green tourism have to be expanded into county(Gun) unit.

  • A complex maritime resort combined marina and with course of Korea is required to improve international tourism competitiveness by taking advantage of her environmental favorable circumstances. The development of tourism, however, is focused on land-oriented that incurred lower tourism efficiency and international tourism competitiveness. In addition, the regulation of "Preliminary environmental assessment for golf courses" by the Ministry of Environment is emphasized on land geography and geology that can cause damage of tourist attractions in an island region. In particular, the development of 6th or 7th ridges in mountainous island region within 2km from the sea, that holds scenic and academic value, can go against environment-friendly by geographical and geological damage. According to the regulation for consultation for golf courses and forestry is to preserve regional ecosystem over 6th ridge, but it cannot be applicable to island region because that can form excessive slopes where marine ecosystem is required to be maintained. It, therefore, can be desirable that the development of over 6th ridge in an island region. It is suggested that continuous comparative studies of geographical and geological characteristics between land and island region will be carried on to establish feasible and reasonable development model so that balanced development of land and island, and versatile international environment-friendly maritime resort can be achieved and developed.

  • The study analyzed the frequency of simultaneous occurrence of keywords presented in a total of 805 papers published in domestic journals from 1995 to 2019 by social network analysis(SNS) method, and examined core keywords of each period(5 years), in order to understand the research trends of the rural residential environment. The main results are as follows. First, as a result of the analysis of centrality, 'Community', 'Tourism' and 'Comprehensive Rural Village Development Project' were the top 3 keywords. Second, examined by each period, the top keywords are 'Eco Friendly' in 2000~2004, 'Tourism' in 2005~2009 and 2010~2014, 'Community' in 2015~2019. Third, comparing the structural characteristics of core keywords 2nd, 3rd, and 4th period, a network centering on 'Tourism' was clearly formed in the 2nd period. 'Tourism' was divided into 'Community' and a movement to form a separate group appeared in the 3rd period. In the 4th period, 'Community' was found to form a network without direct connection with 'Tourism'. The results of this study suggest the trend change of viewpoint for the rural area in the domestic research on rural residential environment. It has been confirmed that while the research had been carried out with the viewpoint of rural area as a 'tourist attraction' or 'sightseeing spot' for the urban citizens until the mid-2010s, in the research of late 2010s the viewpoint has settled down as a 'residential space' or 'space for new economic activities' of a variety of rural residents.
