  • This paper presents a simple modeling system that constructs 3D models from an indoor cylindrical environment map using all of the available geometry of the interior structure such as vertical and horizontal lines and parallel and perpendicular planes. The indoor scene abstract model is created through this system and the navigation through the process of 3D reconstruction. This system first automatically detects the vanishing points in a cylindrical environment map from parallel lines and planes, and determines the indoor scene topology previously defined using this information.   • Optical Line Patternator(OLP) has been applied to get a distribution of the spray at high ambient pressure. OLP is a combined technique of extinction measurement and image processing. The attenuated intensity of laser beam after traversing spray region was measured by using a photo-detector, and the line image of Mie-scattering was captured simultaneously in the path of each laser beam by using a CCD camera. The distribution of extinction coefficient in the spray is obtained by processing these data with the algebraic reconstruction technique. From the distribution of extinction coefficient, the surface distribution of spray can be reconstructed. OLP does not use laser sheet but use laser beam so that the noise effect of multiple scattering, caused by increasing number density of droplet in high pressure environment, is reduced drastically. OLP is expected as a suitable method which can investigate the characteristics of relatively large spray under the high pressure environment such as liquid rocket engine.

  • After 1980's, as economy was rapidly grown and real estate market was active, greatly increased in population has been supplied to the city. Accordingly, national apartment house market is located in the form of Urban Housing Culture. However, as time goes by the apartment houses where the supply of mass became superannuated and residential environment became poor. So, the environment of old apartment houses has been changed to improve with reconstruction. It has been changed in response to the demands of the times. It is one of essential part in a remodeling field for the future although it has some problems in the way that uses existing buildings.

  • Due to the fact that there are low birth rate and longer life longevity, schools have been shutting down and converted into welfare facilities. However, most of researches about utilizing closed down school are focused on case researches or architectural planning and design. Moreover, majority of existing welfare centers for the aged are not designed with the flow of human traffic in mind, which means there is no consideration of physical or psychological characteristics of elderly people. That fact leads to increasing number of shutting down welfare facilities. Therefore, this thesis will present the necessity of effective space allocation, extension and reconstruction for residents in aged care by analyzing space using index of space syntax with depth-map software.

  • Voice activity detection is important Problem in the speech recognition and communication. This paper introduces feature parameter which is reconstructed by the spectral entropy of information theory for the robust voice activity detection in the noise environment, analyzes and compares it with the energy method of voice activity detection and performance. In experiment, we confirmed that the spectral entropy is more feature parameter than the energy method for the robust voice activity detection in the various noise environment.

  • Recently, Domestic construction industry is confronted with a new phase by increasement of stock and elation of the concern about environment. In particular, the focus on remodeling as an altanative of the reconstruction system that squanders resources and creates massive construction waste, has increased. However, current remodeling methods are being obstructed factor, because design has not considered the remodeling at the beginning of the construction. The purpose of this study is to search for the improvement of component joint for efficient remodeling. Field survey is conducted on the components grouped by spaces(living room/bed room/kitchen/bathroom) of unit living at 6 construction sites in Seoul & countries. As a result, total 228 component joints are selected and classified according to interface condition and problem pattern.

  • In this paper, we present novel simulation contents for drone racing and autonomous flight of drone. With Depth camera and SLAM, we conducted mapping 3 dimensional environment through RTAB-map. The 3 dimensional map is represented by point cloud data. After that we recovered this data in Unreal Engine. This recovered raw data reflects real data that includes noise and outlier. Also we built drone racing contents like gate and obstacles for evaluating drone flight in Unreal Engine. Then we implemented both HITL and SITL by using AirSim which offers flight controller and ROS api. Finally we show autonomous flight of drone with ROS and AirSim. Drone can fly in real place and sensor property so drone experiences real flight even in the simulation world. Our simulation framework increases practicality than other common simulation that ignore real environment and sensor.

  • Recently, point clouds are generated by capturing real space in 3D, and it is actively applied and serviced for performances, exhibitions, education, and training. These point cloud data require post-correction work to be used in virtual environments due to errors caused by the capture environment with sensors and cameras. In this paper, we propose an enhancement technique for 3D point cloud data by applying generative adversarial network(GAN). Thus, we performed an approach to regenerate point clouds as an input of GAN. Through our method presented in this paper, point clouds with a lot of noise is configured in the same shape as the real object and environment, enabling precise interaction with the reconstructed content.

  • 최근 영화, 광고 그리고 증강현실과 혼합현실 등 다양한 분야에서 실제 영상에 가상의 객체를 합성하는 기법이 자주 사용되고 있다. 보다 사실적인 합성 결과를 생성하기 위해서는 실제 배경영상의 광원정보를 그대로 적용해야 한다. 이러한 실 세계의 광원 정보를 이용하기 위해서는 HDR(High Dynamic Range) 영상을 생성해야 한다. 일반적으로 HDR 영상을 생성하기 위해서는 고가의 HDR 카메라를 사용하거나 LDR(Low Dynamic Range) 카메라를 사용하여 노출 시간을 달리한 일련의 LDR 영상을 촬영하여 이를 기반으로 HDR 영상을 생성해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점을 보완하기 위해 한 장의 LDR 환경 맵을 HDR 환경 맵으로 복원하는 방법에 대해 제안한다. 제안하는 방법을 통해 LDR 환경 맵을 HDR 환경 맵으로 복원할 수 있으며 결과에서 볼 수 있듯이 HDR 영상을 이용했을 때와 유사한 렌더링 결과를 생성할 수 있다.

3D Terrain Reconstruction Using 2D Laser Range Finder and Camera Based on Cubic Grid for UGV Navigation (무인 차량의 자율 주행을 위한 2차원 레이저 거리 센서와 카메라를 이용한 입방형 격자 기반의 3차원 지형형상 복원)

  • The information of traversability and path planning is essential for UGV(Unmanned Ground Vehicle) navigation. Such information can be obtained by analyzing 3D terrain. In this paper, we present the method of 3D terrain modeling with color information from a camera, precise distance information from a 2D Laser Range Finder(LRF) and wheel encoder information from mobile robot with less data. And also we present the method of 3B terrain modeling with the information from GPS/IMU and 2D LRF with less data. To fuse the color information from camera and distance information from 2D LRF, we obtain extrinsic parameters between a camera and LRF using planar pattern. We set up such a fused system on a mobile robot and make an experiment on indoor environment. And we make an experiment on outdoor environment to reconstruction 3D terrain with 2D LRF and GPS/IMU(Inertial Measurement Unit). The obtained 3D terrain model is based on points and requires large amount of data. To reduce the amount of data, we use cubic grid-based model instead of point-based model.
