  • The aim of this research is to propose new framework for taxonomy of various business and its concept, due to the changes in market space. This framework is three-dimension cubic model, based on three concepts, business layer(BL), value chain(VC), and Real/Virtual(R/V) that symbolizes real environment and virtual(or cyber) space. And we showed that this framework is able to describe all expected(or existed) business types in certain industry by the combinations of BL-VC-R/V on three dimension. In addition, we suggested new definition of e-business and e-Logistics from view of BL-VC-R/V. In order to test availability, this framework was applied for logistics related business. and classified typical business types existed (or expected) in logistics area.

  • Purpose - The rapid rise of e-commerce enterprises has led to the development of the logistics industry. At the same time, some enterprises are motivated by the interests to start reducing costs and inputs, which on the contrary leads to low quality of service, thus reducing customer satisfaction. In recent years, vicious competition, violent express delivery and lack of professionalism in the logistics market have led to high annual customer complaint rate, which has resulted in the company losing many loyal customers, but also unable to obtain new customers. Therefore, to pay attention to and understand the psychological needs of customers and improve the quality of logistics distribution service has become a pressing problem for Every express company. Design/methodology - By analyzing the problems existing in logistics distribution of express companies, this paper explores various factors affecting customer satisfaction and takes consumer sentiment as a mediating variable. Through questionnaires to collect relevant data, put forward hypotheses for empirical analysis, use two different software including SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0 to analyze the information, draw conclusions and make recommendations. Findings - According to the above research results, the reliability, convenience, efficiency, professional can have a positive impact on customer satisfaction through the mediating effect of their sentiment, convenience and professional on consumer sentiment and satisfaction are more significant. Originality/value - This paper the establishment of distribution service indicators related to customer satisfaction and empirical analysis can not only enrich and supplement the distribution service quality indicator system studied by the former, but also provide a theoretical basis for future research.

  • Along the advent of Internet technology, the computing environment has been considerably changed in many application domains. Especially, a lot of researches for e-Logistics have been done for the last 3 years. The e-Logistics means the virtual business activity and service architecture among the logistics companies based on the Internet technology. To construct effectively the e-Logistics framework, researches on the development of the Moving Object Technology(MOT) including GPS and GIS with spatiotemporal databases technique so far has been done The Moving Object Technology stands for the efficient management for the spatiotemporal objects such as vehicles, airplanes, and vessels which change continuously their spatial location along with time flows. However, most systems manage just only the location information detected lately by many reasons so that the uncertainty processing for the past and future location of the moving objects is still very hard. In this paper, we propose the moving object uncertainty model and system design for e-Logistics applications. The MOMS architecture in e-Logistics is suggested and the detailed explain of sub-systems including the uncertainty processor of moving objects is described. We also explain the comprehensive examples of MOMS and uncertainty processing in Delivery Parcel Application that is one of major application of e-Logistics domain.

  • As the interest and the importance of environmental protection increases rapidly, the environment considers to be not only the item that requires a control and a duty fundamental element but the fundamental element to enhance the internection icompetitiveness n so. Along with the collapse of the foreign trade barrier and the quality improvement of a customer's life qu life of a an object is shortened liforder to sectsfy the customer's lemands and as the result of it quaother critical issues rmparding the waste treatment and recasles are now thought to be momentou onlyaddition to the issue of the greenhou e gases reduction that is considered as one of me q issues among many internection ienvironmental issues. To keep up the pace with the environmental flow qube notd countries have nlreal iput their attempts to solve this environmental problems through a number of rmpulactios and acctios and they have showed a great concern for it as it is an internection iproblem that they should aasroaeronlythe aspect of not just a compan isr a country but of the wte e globn ivillage. Sueroenvironmental flow alemaned the logistic stratmpy of a compan iand it brought up the demand for the reverse logistics in a supply chain. For the reason above, the concept of reverse logistics and classification, the comparison with any similar concepts and its necessity are studied in this research through the theoretical consideration and the current state of the reverse logistics is organized in this research by acknowledging the domestic development process and the properties regarding the recycles of resources. In addition, the way to apply to the nation was investigated by comparing with the environmentalism development process, the reverse logistics policies and examples of advanced countries in logistics. The research proposed building of intimate cooperative system between a shipper and logistic service provider for the reverse logistics throughout the whole supply chain, the financial support, amendment of regulations, support Eco-friendly logistic technology development and the propagation, effective logistic system development and others and it is expected to bring a significant meaning to the reverse logistic policy and operation later on.

  • With trend of container ships becoming larger and faster, the environment surrounding ports in North-East Asia is rapidly changing. Korea's largest port of Busan processed more than 10 million 20- feet equivalent containers in 2003, surpassing the 10-million TEU mark for the first time in its three decades of operation. However, the Port of Busan , the world's third-largest port in 2002, was eclipsed by Shanghai since July in 2003. The first massive strike of truckers crippled the Korea's logistics system in May and in September, the Port of Busan suffered from the second strike of truckers and damage by a powerful typhoon. By contrast, the port of Shenzhen in China increased its container-processing volume by 39.9 percent to 10.65 million TEU in 2003, and Shanghai, which passed Busan in terms of container volume in the middle of last year, further consolidated its position as the world's No. 3 port with an annual volume of 11.28 million TEU. After all, Busan recorded an annual container volume of 10.40 million TEU, slipping to fifth in rankings in 2003 and Busan's bid to become a Northeast Asian hub has suffered a further setback as these chinese ports overtook the port of Busan. But the port of Busan is located in the main trunk liking North America, Europe and South-East Asia. Once the project of Busan Newport is accomplished and the railway between South and North Korea is connected to TCR and TSR, the Port of Busan will have the most potential to become the international logistics center as the starting point of the land and sea routes encompassing all over the world.

  • Unlike the general buyer-supplier relationship, there are cases wherein the bargaining power of suppliers is greater than that of buyers. This relationship can be found especially in the shipbuilding industry. Thus, this paper focused on strategic items presented in Kraljic's study. The purpose of this study was to examine factors influencing buyers' purchase of strategic items in a market wherein the bargaining power of suppliers is superior. Results show that the path coefficient between environment factor and satisfaction factor was the highest. Additionally, the path coefficient between environment factor and reliability factor was the next highest. Also, as a result of analyzing if there is a difference in perception according to the superiority and inferiority of bargaining power perceived by buyers, significant results were found in some path coefficients.

  • Urban air mobility (UAM) is being considered as an alternative to transportation in urban areas where traffic congestion is increasing. It is judged that it will be difficult to manage the complex UAM operation environment with the existing Air Traffic Service, which is a person-centered service. Therefore, an advanced information processing-based traffic management system for UAM (UATM) is needed. Airspace management is essential to establish a systematic UAM traffic management (UATM) environment. In particular, the establishment of exclusive corridors where UAM aircraft can operate safely can provide opportunities to operate UAM aircraft without violating the minimum flight altitude regulations. This study conducted an empirical analysis using a helicopter of similar size to UAM to establish the cross-track dimension of the corridor for UAM operation. The research results can be used as a guideline when designing UAM corridors.
