한국민가의 생활공간 용어 및 기능에 관한 문헌상의 고찰(I) -중부지방을 중심으로- (A Study on Terms and Functions of Lifespace in Korean Vernacular Houses)

  • The floor plan of the folk houses in Korean-Middle area was "-" type, "ㄱ" type and "double " type. The common terms of lifespaces were Anbang(안방), Wootbang(웃방), Cunnunbang(건넌방), Taechung(대청), Maru(마루), Buoak(부엌), Chungji(정지), Sarangbang(사랑방), Bongdang(봉당). 1) Anbang was basically a master room and was a family room. The function of another presented in Anbang was a space of the dying hour, the mourning decorums, and the memorial services. 2) Wootbang, Cunnunbang was terms that coming from the space position. Such spaces were the private rooms of children. 3) Sarangbang was basically the space of a reception of guests. 4) Buoak, Chungji were cooking and working space. Primarily, Buoak was the terms meaned Bootumk(부뚜막) in Chosun dynasty. 5) Maru, Tachung were terms of presented from side of construction. Specially, it was the chief space in family in Summer. 6) Bongdang was a terms of space that mean working areas, entry hall etc.working areas, entry hall etc.

법학전문도서관 디자인 특성 및 공간구성방법에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Law School Library Design Feature & Spatial Composition)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 법학전문도서관의 기존사례 분석을 통하여 공간구성 특성을 조사, 규정하고 교육이념에 부응하는 법학전문도서관 특성을 반영한 계획안의 제시함으로서 법학전문도서관의 계획요소 및 디자인을 제안하고자 하였다. 법학도서관의 공간구성특성을 요약하면 (1) 접근성을 고려한 진입층의 공간구성 (2) 열람공간 이용자 중심의 열람실 공간구성 (3) 교육 및 연구 공간과 열람실의 연계성을 고려한 공간 구성으로 법학도서관의 특성을 규정할 수 있다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 한 법학도서관 설계 시 다음과 같은 디자인 쟁점사항을 도출하였다. 진입층 공간구성은 교육의 장소로서의 이용행태, 접근성과 연계성의 측면을 고려하여 공용공간과 함께 열람공간을 계획하여야 한다. 이용자 중심의 열람실과 서고의 공간구성이 계획되기 위한 방법으로는 일반열람실 또는 지정 도서실이 진입공간과 직접 연계되는 계획이 이루어 져야 된다. 교육 및 연구 공간과 열람실이 유기적으로 연결되어야 함에 따라서 코어를 중심으로 교육 및 연구 공간과 열람실을 수직적으로 연계하여 열람실과 교육 연구 공간의 연계성을 높이는 동시에 외부에서의 접근성도 고려한 계획이 되어야한다.

농촌 마을회관의 실내외 공간구성 현황에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Space Composition of Indoor and Outdoor in Rural Community Centers)

  • In order to improve the housing environment and quality of life for the rural elderly, this study aims to identify and present the status of community centers, most widely used by the elderly in rural areas. Through the literature review, type and space elements of community centers were derived and selected three target areas were investigated. As a result of literature analysis, the space type of rural community centers were classified as indoor space and outdoor space. The indoor space types were classified as entry space, public space, sanitary space and the outdoor space were classified as entry space and leisure space. Some community centers were surveyed in Seocheon-gun, Wanju-gun, and Cheongju-city. Results indicate the indoor and outdoor space design and elements were undergoing a lot of inconvenience partly because standard design was considered and the space was not planned for the physical, psychological and social health of the rural elderly. Therefore, this study will be used as a basis for building healthier and more friendly residential environments that can enhance the health and quality of life for the elderly in rural areas.

진입과 전이공간 특성에 따른 단독주택 평면류형 변화 연구 - 충주시, 제천시, 원주시 사례를 중심으로 - (Changes of Floor Plans in the Entry and Transfer Spaces of Single Detached Houses - A Case of the City of Chungju, Checheon and Wonju -)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the changes of floor plans in the entry and transfer spaces of single detached houses. The sample size was 185 households in Chungju, Jechon and Wonju Which are small cities in the central region of Korea. The results of the study are as follows: Firstly, the approach and transfer spaces show various changes and those are important factors which symbolize the housing plane typology transformations of the research areas. Secondly, the approach direction to the indoor space was more adopted a front approach in 1960's and 1970's, it is a side approach in 1980's, and a back side approach in 1990's. Thirdly, as the stage of the transfer space increased, the detached house planes have been changing to the direction, the depth of space comes to be deep, spatial function to be fixed, and privacy of bed rooms to be increased.

  • This is a written version of an hour-long lecture delivered by the author on June 30, 2011, as Plasmadynamics and Lasers Award Lecture at the AIAA 2011 summer conference in Honolulu, Hawaii. The author proposes that two areas of planetary entry physics be pursued in the future: outer planet aero-capturing and study of aerodynamics of meteoroid entries, both for the purpose of advancing the understanding of the possible extraterrestrial seeding of building blocks of life. For outer planet aero-capturing, the author proposes to develop new shock tube facilities that will produce up to 30 km/s of shock speed without causing photo-ionization of the driven gas by the radiation from the hot driver gas. Regarding meteors, the author proposes to carry out laboratory testing of the Tunguska event and of the seeding of amino acid molecules using a ballistic range which shoots a snowball laden with amino acid molecules toward a water surface.

Effects of chemistry in Mars entry and Earth re-entry

  • This paper is the follow-on of a previous paper by the author where it was pointed out that the forthcoming, manned exploration missions to Mars, by means of complex geometry spacecraft, involve the study of phenomena like shock wave-boundary layer interaction and shock wave-shock wave interaction also along the entry path in Mars atmosphere. The present paper focuses the chemical effects both in the shock layer and on the surface of a test body along the Mars orbital entry and compares these effects with those along the Earth orbital re-entry. As well known, the Mars atmosphere is almost made up of Carbon dioxide whose dissociation energy is even lower than that of Oxygen. Therefore, although the Mars entry is less energized than the Earth re-entry, one can expect that the effects of chemistry on aerodynamic quantities, both in the shock layer and on a test body surface, are different from those along the Earth re-entry. The study has been carried out computationally by means of a direct simulation Monte Carlo code, simulating the nose of an aero-space-plane and using, as free stream parameters, those along the Mars entry and Earth re-entry trajectories in the altitude interval 60-90 km. At each altitude, three chemical conditions have been considered: 1) gas non reactive and non-catalytic surface, 2) gas reactive and non-catalytic surface, 3) gas reactive and fully-catalytic surface. The results showed that the number of reactions, both in the flow and on the nose surface, is higher for Earth and, correspondingly, also the effects on the aerodynamic quantities.

  • 재진입 비행체의 Approach & Landing단계는 Steep Glideslope 단계, Circular Flare 단계, Flare Maneuver 단계로 이루어지며, 본 논문에서는 실시간 경로 생성을 위하여 기하학적 조건을 이용한 기준궤적 생성 알고리즘을 사용하였다. 이를 통하여 재진입비행체의 착륙 안정성을 고려한 기준궤적을 빠른 시간 안에 생성할 수 있다. 그리고 본 논문에서는 비선형 시스템에 대하여 강건성을 가지는 Mamdani Fuzzy PD Controller를 통한 종방향 및 횡방향 제어기를 설계하였다. 또한 Downrange 와 Crossrange의 초기 오차를 포함하는 시뮬레이션을 수행하여, 제안된 Fuzzy 제어기의 우수한 성능을 확인하였다.

Comparison of Ballistic-Coefficient-Based Estimation Algorithms for Precise Tracking of a Re-Entry Vehicle and its Impact Point Prediction

  • This paper studies the problem of tracking a re-entry vehicle (RV) in order to predict its impact point on the ground. Re-entry target dynamics combined with super-high speed has a complex non-linearity due to ballistic coefficient variations. However, it is difficult to construct a database for the ballistic coefficient of a unknown vehicle for a wide range of variations, thus the reliability of target tracking performance cannot be guaranteed if accurate ballistic coefficient estimation is not achieved. Various techniques for ballistic coefficient estimation have been previously proposed, but limitations exist for the estimation of non-linear parts accurately without obtaining prior information. In this paper we propose the ballistic coefficient ${\beta}$ model-based interacting multiple model-extended Kalman filter (${\beta}$-IMM-EKF) for precise tracking of an RV. To evaluate the performance, other ballistic coefficient model based filters, which are gamma augmented filter, gamma bootstrapped filter were compared and assessed with the proposed ${\beta}$-IMM-EKF for precise tracking of an RV.

Design Study of a Korean Mars Mission

  • In this paper we carried out a design study for an unmanned Mars missionsuitable for Republic of Korea. The mission will use a KSLV series launch system,which is to place a one tonne payload into the LEO. We calculated the velocityincrements(AV) required for departure from Earth and insertion into the orbitaround Mars based on the mission opportunity data provided by NASA. Two typesof Mars modules - entry type and orbiter type - were considered in this studyWe calculated the mass of TPS(therma1 protection system) for the entry tvpe Marsmodule based on the heat transfer rate and heat load from the Mars atmosphere tothe surface of the TPS. The heat transfer rate and heat load were obtained throughan entry trajectory calculation. For the orbiter type Mars module, we calcuIated themass breakdown of the additional spacecraft which is to insert the Mars moduleinto the orbit around Mars. Other mass items were determined by proportioningfrom the existing Mars modules. This paper finally proposes the payload capacitiesfor each types of Mars modules.

시각장애아동에게 있어서 진입공간의 의미에 관한 연구 (A research about the meaning of the entry space for the sight-disabled child)

  • Interactions with the environment do to firm, deny, or challenge the existing knowledge. People who suffer from the loss of the sight have difficulty conceiving the space and the direction as well as walking. In the study, it wanted to reveal that the border that Is provided as a transfer clue has psychological and functional meaning to the sight-disabled people under given circumstances. It suggests that there is another space among the physical borders and analyzes the utilization clue in the entry space, which is the first starting point that can transfer, and obstacle factors which may happen at that point. And, it also wanted to present the surrounding environmental improvement ways for walking which is smooth and confident based on them.
