Exploratory Study on Developing Entrepreneurship Survey Index(ESI) in Korea (창업동향지수개발을 위한 탐색적 연구)

  • The entrepreneurship is a key success factor of industrial development in global competitive environments. but there is no entrepreneurship index/indicator which gives comprehensive advantages for monitoring and forecasting entrepreneur environments in Korea. The purpose of the study is developing Entrepreneurship Survey Index(ESI) which considering various significant entrepreneur factors. The suggested ESI in this exploratory study consists of entrepreneurship business index(EBI), entrepreneurship environment index(EEI) and entrepreneurship preparation index(EPI). The EBI is composed of overall business factors which revised from practical studies and expert reviews. The EEI is mainly retrieved Global Entrepreneurship Monitor(GEM) and partially modified by an expert advisor to identify entrepreneur environments. The EPI is developed for evaluating and confirming the capability, plan and intention of the pre-entrepreneurship. The practical survey of using the proposed ESI will enhance the power of forecasting the entrepreneurship environment changes and provide effective entrepreneurship policy making for stakeholder.

A Study on the Standard Model of Entrepreneurship Index (우리나라 기업가정신 모델 수립에 관한 연구)

  • Many institutes such as Bank of Korea, Samsung Economic Research Institute and Chamber of Commerce announced Entrepreneurship Index models. But, due to the arbitrary measurement model and the survey of each institute, there is a misled in the understanding and model of entrepreneurship. In addition, there is no research about comparative study of Entrepreneurship Index until now. In this study, we suggest our own Entrepreneurship Index model based on the literature review of Entrepreneurship Index. This model enables the objective measurement of Entrepreneurship Index. Above all, we suggest advantages and disadvantages of existing Entrepreneurship Index model systematically and the direction of Entrepreneurship Index.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop index about the sixth industrial entrepreneurs to establish the spirit and measuring the sixth industrial entrepreneurship for groups successfully led to the sixth industry of agriculture, which is actively being conducted in recent years aimed at rural stimulate the economy. Enlighten the value of rural resources, production, processing, in a sixth industry establishment that has a characteristic of fusion distribution and tourism in addition to the elements of the entrepreneurship that has been emphasized in the traditional establishment, the more diverse entrepreneurship element has been requested. In this study, to derive the traditional entrepreneurship of the components and the sixth industry entrepreneurship component through literature research, through interviews with experts of the sixth industry, an important element of the entrepreneurship that is required in the field It was derived. Based on the derived results, set the index of the sixth industry entrepreneurship, it was conducted a questionnaire survey of sixth industry workers. Through analysis of the navigation factors, to evaluate the measurement and indicators of relevance, factors that have been set through the results literature study and interviews of exploratory factor analysis it was found that has been rationally constructed. The results of this study, education and consulting for the activation of the sixth industry, would be able to take advantage of, such as in the planning of education programs for whom decide to go back to the countryside(Agro migration). In addition, to diagnose the entrepreneurship of a conventional sixth industry progress mainly, it is expected to be able to help you to proceed with the custom capability development that meets the individual needs.

The Importance of Financial Literacy: Household's Income Mobility Measurement and Decomposition Approach

  • This study introduced income mobility analysis using pseudo-longitudinal panel data from Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES) to consider the dynamic process of individual's well-being through time. Since there is no comprehensive measurement of income mobility because of its dynamic process, various income mobility indices such as Chi-square, Average Jump Index, Atkinson et al. Mobility Ratio, and Shorrocks' Mobility Index were used. These indices revealed that Filipino households' income movements are more mobile than expected, and their income status improved from 2000 to 2015. As income mobility takes place, income inequality is reduced by 91.80 percent (91.80%). Furthermore, the growth effect is the main factor of income mobility. This indicates that households took the economic opportunities from economic growth to earn more. However, income mobility due to transfer effect (transfer of income from one household to another through lottery winning and borrowing) increased when the economy is not good. The higher income mobility due to growth effect compared to transfer effect, whether the economy is good or bad, means that households learned how to use their income in savings, investments, and entrepreneurship. This is the result of a successful financial literacy program of the government wherein households realized financial stability and security.

A Study on the Development of an Assessment Index for Selecting Start-ups on Balanced Scorecard (균형성과표(BSC) 기반 창업기업 선정평가지표 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an assessment index for the selection of promising start-ups, which will enhance the efficiency of program that support start-ups. In order to develop assessment models for selecting start-ups, three major research steps were conducted. First, this study attempted to theoretically redefine the assessment index from the perspective of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) through a literature review. Second, major assessment index were derived using Delphi technique for experts in start-up areas. Third, weights were derived by applying AHP technique to calculate the importance of each index. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, this study attempted to apply the assessment model for selecting start-ups from the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) view through the previous study review. Second, the final major questions were derived with sufficient opinions collected and structured survey of leading start-up experts in areas related to research subjects and elicited the most representative questions. Third, the results of applying the weights of the main selected assessment index, commercialization viewpoint is the most priority, followed by market view, technology development viewpoint, and organizational capability viewpoint. In the middle section, th ability to make products in the commercialization viewpoint, market competitiveness in the market, product discrimination capacity in the technology development perspective, and the ability of the entrepreneur in the organizational capacity perspective were important. Overall important items were found to be in the order of the capabilities of entrepreneurs, market competitiveness, product fire capability, and product discrimination. The importance of small items was highest priority for comparative excellence of competing products, and the degree of marketability, capacity of entrepreneurship, ability to raise capital, desire for entrepreneurship, and passion were shown. The results of this study presented a conceptual alternative to the preceding study on the development of existing selection assessment indexes. And it provides meaningful and important implications as an attempt to develop more sophisticated indicators by overcoming the limitations of empirical research on only some of the evaluation metrics.

  • This study presents the credit evaluation model for medical venture business which has been growing within the recent decade. We develop the model with two steps. At the first step, the evaluation indexes for each of the financial and non-financial factors of a firm are listed. At the second step, the weight for each index is measured by using the Analytic Hierarchy Process of Saaty(1980). The financial factors consists of 5 upper level indexes and 10 lower level indexes. The upper level indexes of the financial sector are profitability, safety, utilization, growth, and productivity. And the non-financial factors consists of 5 upper level indexes and 17 lower lever indexes. The upper level indexes in this sector are manager's competence, technical capability, marketability, business validity, and reliability. In order to get the empirical results for our model, we conduct the questionnaire survey targeting the credit assessment officers, who are practicing at the financial institutions or the credit guarantee company located within the Wonju Medical Devices Cluster.

A Study on Kiosk Satisfaction Level Improvement: Focusing on Kano, Timko, and PCSI Methodology (키오스크 소비자의 만족수준 연구: Kano, Timko, PCSI 방법론을 중심으로)

  • This study analyzed the degree of influence of measurement and improvement of customer satisfaction level targeting kiosk users. In modern times, due to the development of technology and the improvement of the online environment, the probability that simple labor tasks will disappear after 10 years is close to 90%. Even in domestic research, it is predicted that 'simple labor jobs' will disappear due to the influence of advanced technology with a probability of about 36%. there is. In particular, as the demand for non-face-to-face services increases due to the Corona 19 virus, which is recently spreading globally, the trend of introducing kiosks has accelerated, and the global market will grow to 83.5 billion won in 2021, showing an average annual growth rate of 8.9%. there is. However, due to the unmanned nature of these kiosks, some consumers still have difficulties in using them, and consumers who are not familiar with the use of these technologies have a negative attitude towards service co-producers due to rejection of non-face-to-face services and anxiety about service errors. Lack of understanding leads to role conflicts between sales clerks and consumers, or inequality is being created in terms of service provision and generations accustomed to using technology. In addition, since kiosk is a representative technology-based self-service industry, if the user feels uncomfortable or requires additional labor, the overall service value decreases and the growth of the kiosk industry itself can be suppressed. It is important. Therefore, interviews were conducted on the main points of direct use with actual users centered on display color scheme, text size, device design, device size, internal UI (interface), amount of information, recognition sensor (barcode, NFC, etc.), Display brightness, self-event, and reaction speed items were extracted. Afterwards, using the questionnaire, the Kano model quality attribute classification of each expected evaluation item was carried out, and Timko's customer satisfaction coefficient, which can be calculated with accurate numerical values The PCSI Index analysis was additionally performed to determine the improvement priorities by finally classifying the improvement impact of the kiosk expected evaluation items through research. As a result, the impact of improvement appears in the order of internal UI (interface), text size, recognition sensor (barcode, NFC, etc.), reaction speed, self-event, display brightness, amount of information, device size, device design, and display color scheme. Through this, we intend to contribute to a comprehensive comparison of kiosk-based research in each field and to set the direction for improvement in the venture industry.
