차동 기어의 진동 저감을 위한 동력 전달계 진동 해석 (Vibrational analysis of driveline for reducing differential gear vibration)

  • Eigenvalue analysis of vibration mode and an analysis by frequency response among the methods of predicting gear noise are related with transmitting sound of vibration. In this study we intended to reduce the vibration noise of differential gear by reducing torque fluctuation of drive pinion shaft which causes vibration noise of differential gear in rear wheel drive vehicles. For this we developed multi-degree of freedom analysis model in which mass moment of inertia and torsional spring combined and we examined the influence of torsional vibration of driveline elements by performing forced vibration analysis of engine excitation torque. We studied the methods for reducing torsional vibration of driveline according to the design factor of propeller shaft and examined the effects reducing vibration in differential gear by applying flexible coupling.

  • The prospect of Arctic trade transportation opening on a year-round basis creates a vast opportunity of exploring untapped resources and shortened navigational routes. However, the environment's remoteness and lack of technical experiences remains a big challenge for the maritime industry. With this, engine designers and makers are continually investigating, specifically optimizing propulsion shafting system design, to meet the environmental and technical challenges of the region. Further, classification societies recognize the need to upgrade the Unified Rules concerning elements to meet current Polar requirements. Hence in this paper, excitation torque calculation on Polar class vessels propulsion shafting system will be reviewed. The propeller - ice interaction load effect, which is a main consideration of excitation source of Polar Class propulsion shafting system, on shaft design calculation will be analyzed.

Moving Object Management System for Battlefield Simulation

  • A battlefield simulation is the evaluation and analysis of the battlefield area, based on the data for terrain, climate, unit's maneuver and tactics basically required in battlefield simulation. Because it is difficult for the military authorities to collect all of the information perfectly for the reason of communication technology, jamming, and tactics, the military authorities need the future moving status for the target units by using acquired moving information. Therefore, we propose a moving object management system that concurrently provides domain reasoning function for the battlefield simulation. In order to implement the proposed system, we show the data modeling of the moving object for the battlefield simulation, and propose an inference engine using domain rule base and spatiotemporal operation. Also, we analyze the query response rate by inference function to verify domain reasoning of the implemented system.

CVT의 변속 알고리듬과 응답특성 (Shifting Algorithm and Response Characteristics of CVT)

  • In this study, a shifting algorithm of CVT was suggested for the two(2) driving modes : (1) power mode and (2) economy mode. Shifting algorithm must be obtained to make the engine run on the optimum operating line for the desired performance of the vehicle. Optimum operating lines of the engine were obtained by connecting the shortest way of the iso-power lines for the power mode and by connecting the shortest way of the BSFC curves for the economy mode. Also dynamic model of CVT vehicle was derived considering the throttle and the brake operation. By using the shifting algorithm and the CVT vehicle model, numerical simulations were performed to estimate the performance of CVT. Simulation results showed that comparing the performance of the conventional 4-speed automatic transmission, acceleration performance of the CVT vehicle was almost same with the AT vehicle for the power mode and the fuel economy of CVT was 14% superior than that of AT for the economy mode.

  • A lumped parameter model is proposed for the analysis of dynamic behaviour of a Passive Hydraulic Engine Mount (PHEM), incorporating inertia track and throttle, which is characterized by effective and efficient vibration isolation behaviour in the range of both low and high frequencies. Most of the model parameters, including volume compliance of the throttle chamber, effective piston area, fluid inertia and resistance of inertia track and throttle are identified by an experimental approach. Numerical predictions are obtained through a finite element method for responses of dynamic stiffness of the rubber spring. The experiments are made for the purpose of PHEM validation. Comparison of numerical results with experimental observations has shown that the present PHEM achieves good performance for vibration isolation.

  • Unburned hydrocarbon is a key contributor to both the fuel economy and emissions of automotive engine. Cyclic variation of HC emission is of importance, especially during throttle transients. The real time measurement of hydrocarbon is particularly important to obtain a better understanding of the mechanisms for combustion and emissions, especially during cold start and throttle transient condition. This paper reports the cycle resolved measurement technique of unburned hydrocarbons to quantify rapid changes of in-cylinder concentration in the vicinity of spark plug by using the Fast Response Flame Ionization Detector(FRFID). While this instrument actually measures fuel concentration, its results can be indicative of the AFR behaviour. In order to understand the rapid change of hydrocarbons with cylinder pressure, it is necessary to study the response time delay of the system, including the time associated with gas transportation to FID. And signal from FRFID is correlated with cylinder pressure data to relate changes in mixture preparation to the classic analysis, such as indicated mean effective(IMEF) and ignition delay, etc.

선교내에서 청각경보음의 유형이 반응속도와 정확성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Auditory Warning Types on Response Time and Accuracy in Ship Bridges)

  • The effects of different auditory warnings on response time and accuracy were studied in a laboratory ship-bridge work environment. Subjective preference on the type of auditory warnings was also of a primary concern. Twenty five subjects were asked to select an appropriate button for the warning sound presented with three types of auditory warning (abstract sound, auditory icon, and voice alarm) and five levels of warning situation (fire, steering failure, collision, engine failure, and low power). Results showed that the response time and accuracy was significantly affected by the types of auditory warning. The voice alarm resulted in a higher accuracy and subjective preference, as compared to the auditory icon and abstract sound. Regarding the response time, auditory icons and voice alarms were equivalent and superior to abstract sounds. Actual or potential applications of this research include guidelines for the design of integrated ship bridge systems.

  • 최근 기후변화 대응 및 경제위기 극복을 위하여 세계 각국은 녹색기술 육성과 환경규제 강화를 통한 자국의 신성장엔진 창출 및 경기부양에 모든 국력을 총동원하고 있다. 이에 한국 정부도 새로운 성장동력산업의 창출 및 육성을 위해 녹색기술사업과 관련하여 미래 유망신기술을 보유한 중소기업들을 대상으로 2009년부터 민관 공통으로 신성장동력펀드를 조성하여 운용하고 있다. 하지만, 현재 선성장동력펀드는 글로별 경제위기, 대규모 출자금액, 투자대상 기업 발굴의 어려움 등으로 민간자본 유치에 많은 어려움을 겪고 있으며, 이에 펀드 운영 방식의 변경이 불가피하다는 지적을 받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 신성장동력펀드의 지속적인 성장 및 확대 추진을 위해 해외펀드 조성 및 운영 사례를 기반으로 신성장동력산업의 지속적인 육성 및 지원을 위한 정부지자체협력 펀드, 정부금융기관협력 인큐베이터 펀드, 정부대기업-중소기업 상생협력 펀드의 운영 방안을 제안한다. 본 연구는 신성장동력산업의 육성이라는 전략적 정책을 지원함에 있어 다양한 펀드를 제안함으로써 정책의 실효성을 높이는데 의의를 가진다.

  • 본 논문에서는 가솔린 기관에서 흡입 밸브 각도가 엔진의 부분부하 성능에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 혼합비 반응 특성을 통해 알아보았다. 흡입 밸브각이 작은 엔진이 흡입 밸브 각이 큰 엔진에 비해 배기가스 중 질소산화물 (BSNOx)의 양은 줄어들었고, 점화시기는 지각되었고, 제동연료소비율은 조금 개선되었다. 배기가스 중 질소산화물의 양이 줄고 점화시기가 지각 되었다는 것은 급속 연소가 일어났다고 판단할 수 있다. 시험 결과를 살펴보면 흡입 밸브각이 작아지면 기관의 연소 성능이 좋아지는 것으로 판단 될 수 있다.

대형 CNG 혼소 엔진용 천연가스 분사밸브 동특성 연구 (Dynamic Performance of Natural Gas Injection Valve for Heavy-Duty CNG Dual Fuel Engine)

  • 천연가스 연료는 매장량과 경제성 측면에서 미래 가치가 매우 높기 때문에 여러 가지 이용 기술 개발이 활발하게 이루어지고 있으며 내연기관을 이용한 발전 분야에서도 그 중요성이 점점 증가하고 있는 실정이다. 천연가스 연료를 이용하는 MW급 발전용 대형 왕복엔진의 경우 연료공급시스템의 고도화 개발이 필요한데 그 중에서도 천연가스 분사기의 개발은 실질적인 천연가스 연료 이용을 위한 핵심이다. 본 연구에서는 천연가스 분사기를 상부에 위치한 솔레노이드의 전자기력에 의해 구동되고 하부의 밸브 바디부 전기자와 이동판이 상하로 움직이는 구조의 분사밸브 형태로 고안 및 설계하였으며 이 시작품의 동특성을 엔진 흡기 모사 조건에서 실험하였다. 지난 연구에서는 전기자의 변위와 지름 및 솔레노이드 코어 지름을 변경해 가면서 실험을 수행하였으며, 그 후속으로 솔레노이드 코어의 금속 재질 변경과 메인 하우징의 입구 크기 및 공급 압력에 따른 분사밸브의 동특성을 살펴보았다.
