Automobile Engine Information Display Device Using CAN Communication (캔 통신을 이용한 자동차 엔진 정보 표시장치)

  • Most cars today use electronic control to control the state of the engine to achieve optimum performance. This study developed a device for maintaining fault diagnosis and optimal vehicle status by displaying the engine information of a car on the screen in real time using can communication. This system displays information generated from the engine to the driver in real time such as engine intake and exhaust temperature, current battery voltage, tire pressure, RPM, DPF collection amount, torque, and horsepower through the OBD2 socket. You can check immediately. It can help you to drive safely by measuring tire pressure and displaying it on the screen, and it provides a mode to set the shift timing to suit your taste. In particular, in the case of diesel engine cars, the problems caused by smoke can adversely affect the performance and environmental pollution. Therefore, the system was developed to display the DPF collection amount on the system screen to prevent environmental pollution and to manage the vehicle efficiently.

  • The environment of Ubiquitous in terms of improvement is being expanded to various fields and time enabled system. Thus, a real-time spatial information management system has been developed by integrating a human movement detection system into a SICS(Spatial Information Control System) engine that can integrally manage inside spatial information extracted from 3D CAD and outside spatial information of GIS. The add-on program was developed to extract spatial information necessary for the SICS engine from 3D CAD information, and a human movement detection system was developed. Test bed was operated for 2weeks and indoor human flow information was found out by zone. Also, the direction of future research was decided through a test bed.

  • A marine diesel engine should realize optimal efficiency operation while reducing NOx. Fuel injection systems by electronic control can become effective means for that. Although it would be able to get more precise engine control compared to the mechanical injection system, it needs some accurate and instant information in order to bring its ability into full play while sailing on the sea. Very important information of them is shaft torque and continuous combustion pressure of all cylinders. The system presented in this report can deliver those data.

  • A realization for image searching engine with moving objects identification and classification is presented in this paper. The identification algorithm is applied to extract difference image between input image and the reference image, and the classification is used the region segmentation. That is made the database for the searching engine. The experimental result of the realized system enables to search for human and animal at time intervals to use a surveillant system at inside environment.

  • This study suggests a model of production information system that can reduce manufacturing lead time and uniformize quality by using DNC S/W as a part of constructing production information management system in the industrial field of the existing marine engine block manufacturing companies. Under the effect of development of this system, the NC machine interface device can be installed in the control computer to obtain the quality information of the workpiece in real time so that the time to inspect the process quality and verify the product defect information can be reduced by more than 70%. In addition, the reliability of quality information has been improved and the external credibility has been improved. It took 30 minutes for operator to obtain, analyze and manage the quality information when the existing USB memory is used, but the communication between the NC controller computer and the NC controller in real time was completed to analyze the workpiece within 10 seconds.

  • In the development of means of transportation, human beings who walk, ride or ride carriages are now enjoying the benefits of many means of transportation, including bicycles, airplanes, trains, buses, and cars. However, in the case of eco-friendly vehicleJ, engine noise at low speeds is a noise that is unlike existing vehicles and poses a threat to the safety of pedestrians. In this study, virtual engine system has been developed to prevent engine accidents caused by low- The pedestrians are aware of the fact that the vehicle is approaching.

  • The operational data of diesel generator engine is two kinds of data. One is interactive the other is non interactive. We can find the fault information from interactive data measured for every sampling time when the changing rate, direction and status of data are investigated in comparition with those of normal status to diagnose the fault of combustion system. The various data values of combustion system for diesel engine are not proportional to load condition. The criterion to decide the level of data value is not absolute but relative to relational data. This study proposes to compose malfunction diagnosis engine using neural networks to decide that level of data value is out of normal status with the data collected from generator engine of the ship using the commercial data mining tool. This paper investigates the real ship's operational data of diesel generator engine and confirms usefulness of fault detecting through simulations for fault detecting.

  • This paper presents the integrated speech enhancement system for hands-free mobile communication. The proposed integrated system incorporates both acoustic echo cancellation and engine noise reduction device to provide signal enhancement of desired speech signal from the echoed plus noisy environments. To implement the system, a delayless subband adaptive structure is used for acoustic echo cancellation operation. The NLMS based adaptive noise canceller then applied to the residual echo removed noisy signal to achieve the selective engine noise attenuation in dominant frequency component. Two sets of computer simulations are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the system; one for the fixed acoustical environment condition, the other for the robustness of the system in which, more realistic situation, the acoustic transmission environment change. Simulation results confirm the system performance of 20-25dB ERLE in acoustic echo cancellation and 9-19 dB engine noise attenuation in dominant frequency component for both cases.

  • In order to provide a safe and secure electronic navigational chart information services, AIS information, information on aids to navigation, maritime safety information, weather information, information on a variety of birds such as the data fused S-100 standards-based e-Navigation system should be established. S-101 ENC implement Rendering Engine analyzes the Drawing Instruction set generated by Portrayal Engine of the S-100 General Portrayal Model for is a job to be followed to establish the e-Navigation System to implement the S-101 ENC Should be. In this paper, we analyze the Drawing Instruction of the existing S-57 ENC and S-101 ENC is the basis for the implementation of the S-101 ENC.

  • A numerical simulation has been carried out for the engine cooling system. It is the important element to analysis of heat transfer process in cooling system for an automotive engine. Thus, the purpose of this simulator is to present useful information at the early stages of the design of the cooling system by enabling the development engineer to predict performance trends. This program has useful window interface for analysis of the cooling system and it is convenient for user to control data with relational database. The system was simulated and compared with experimental data. As a result, the inlet, outlet temperature of the radiator by the simulator agrees well with it. It is concluded that this simulation program is available in developing the cooling system for a new car.
