Development of a Rupture Disk for Pyrostarters (파이로스타터용 럽쳐디스크 개발)

  • Pyrostarters play a role as a turbopump starter in liquid propellant propulsion systems by supplying pressurized gas to power turbines for engine start. A rupture disk in pyrostarters, which is usually installed behind a nozzle throat, not only isolates the charged solid propellants from the external environment but also improves the ignitability of the solid propellants by increasing a chamber pressure at the beginning of combustion. Experimental tests have been performed to study the effects of rupture disk thickness, depth and shape of scores, and pressure build-up rates on burst pressures and burst diameters. The experimental results show that the developed rupture disk fulfills the performance requirements expected in a real operational condition.

  • Most of traffic management systems include the map-based traffic information services using World Wide Web. Geographic Information System is an efficient tool to build a map-based system. However, many traffic information service systems have own independent maps for graphic/animation softwares such as Adobe Flash. These systems make it difficult to manage modifications of maps. In this paper, we suggest a new GIS-based traffic information service system without these problems. The proposed system makes the efficient use of GIS map data for traffic information service because a map display engine is separated from map data that is transferred after real-time conversion.

  • SLA (Stereolithography Apparatus) it a process used to rapidly produce polymer components directly from a computer representation of the part. Though SLA is being recognized as an innovative technology, it still cannot be used to fully practical application since it lacks of dimensional accuracy compared to conventional process. If the shrinkage were perfectly uniform and no distortion took place, excellent part accuracy could still be achieved through and appropriate scaling factor when generating the build file. However, in certain geometries involving intersecting thick and thin sections, nonuniform retrain shrinkage becomes the engine of part distortion. In order to improve the part accuracy of SLA, this paper evaluates how largely each parameter of SLA contributes to the part accuracy and estimates the optimal set of parameter which minimizes the dimension error of the test part, "Slab (100mm$\times$100mm$\times$2mm)"and "scale bar"part. Three control parameters such as critical exposure, generation depth and fill cure depth are used.

A Study on the DB-IR Integration: Per-Document Basis Online Index Maintenance

  • While database(DB) and information retrieval(IR) have been developed independently, there have been emerging requirements that both data management and efficient text retrieval should be supported simultaneously in an information system such as health care, customer support, XML data management, and digital libraries. The great divide between DB and IR has caused different manners in index maintenance for newly arriving documents. While DB has extended its SQL layer to cope with text fields due to lack of intact mechanism to build IR-like index, IR usually treats a block of new documents as a logical unit of index maintenance since it has no concept of integrity constraint. However, In the DB-IR integrations, a transaction on adding or updating a document should include maintenance of the posting lists accompanied by the document. Although DB-IR integration has been budded in the research filed, the issue will remain difficult and rewarding areas for a while. One of the primary reasons is lack of efficient online transactional index maintenance. In this paper, performance of a few strategies for per-document basis transactional index maintenance - direct index update, pulsing auxiliary index and posting segmentation index - will be evaluated. The result shows that the pulsing auxiliary strategy and posting segmentation indexing scheme, can be a challenging candidates for text field indexing in DB-IR integration.

  • In this paper, we propose malware database in mobile memory for realtime malware URL detection and we support realtime malware URL detection engine, that is control the web service for more secure mobile service. Recently, mobile malware is on the rise and to be new threat on mobile environment. In particular the mobile characteristics, the damage of malware is more important, because it leads to monetary damages for the user. There are many researches in cybercriminals prevention and malware detection, but it is still insufficient. Additionally we propose the method for prevention Smishing within SMS, MMS. In the near future, mobile venders must build the secure mobile environment with fundamental measures based on our research.

  • In this study a model-based diagnostic method using the Neural Network was proposed for PW206C turbo shaft engine and performance model was developed by SIMULINK. Fault and test database to build the NN was obtained at various off-design operating range such as flight altitude, flight Mach number and gas generator rotational speed variation. According to the fault detection analysis results, it was confirmed that the proposed fault detection method could find well the fault of compressor, compressor turbine and power turbine at on-design point as well as off-design point conditions.

  • To build up the military strength based on information oriented armed forces, the Korean ministry of national defense (MND) promotes the defense CALS (Continuous Acquisition and Life cycle Support) initiative for the reductions of acquisition times, improvements of system qualities, and reductions of costs. These defense CALS activities are the major component of the underlying mid and long term defense digitization program and the ultimate goal of program is to bring a quick victory by providing real-time battlefield intelligence and the economical operations of the military. The concept of defense CALS is to automate the acquisition and disposition of defense systems throughout their life cycle. For implementing defense CALS, the technology for exchange and sharing CALS standard data that is created once and used many times should be considered. In order to develop an efficient CALS information exchange and sharing system, it is required to integrate distributed and heterogeneous data sources and provide systematic search tools for those data. In this study, we developed a content based search engine technology which is essential for the construction of integrated data environments. The developed technology provides the environment of sharing the CALS standard data such as SGML(Standard Generalized Markup Language) and STEP(Standard for The Exchange of Product model data). Utilizing this technology, users can find and access distributed and heterogeneous data sources without knowing its actual location.

  • This paper develops an real-time expert system for the electronic interlocking system. it obtains the higher safety by determining the railway interlocking strategy in order to prevent trains from colliding, and derailing in the viewpoint of veteran expert, considering the situation of station in real-time. The expert system determines the real-time interlocking strategy by confirming the interlocking relationships among signal facilities based on the interlocking knowledge base from input information such as signal, points, and it is implemented as the rule-based system in order to represented accurately and effectively the interlocking relationships. Especially in case of emergency the function which determines the rational route coordinating with IIKBAG on the workstation is designed in order to minimize the spreading effect. It is implemented in C computer language for the purpose of the implementation of the inference engine using the dynamic memory allocation technique, the build and interface of the station structure database. And, the validity of the built expert system is proved by simulating the diversity cases which may occur in the real system for the typical station model.

  • Game Designs & Developers that system designs improve, the product and the change of tasks to all developers are essential in achieving On-Line Game project. Existent On-line Game project management designs supper the definition and the change of project activities, and configuration management designs support version check, workspace management, build management, etc. In this paper, the proposed Design defines Game component based development process model, and achieves recording of process progression, processing the request of change, reporting the progression of each task, product registering and change, version recording, artifact or form search, etc. using UML. Furthermore, study on the stake holders get the systematic management and standardization by sharing information that are necessary in Game design & development and configuration management in distributed environment using the system integrated management design.

  • In this paper. the design and implementationof the on-line registration system for the school affairs is described. The environments for the system configurations include a PC server under Linux Iperating System. Apache Web-server, and MySQL as database engine. In addition, PHP, which becomes a popular Internet server-based script language lately, is used to implement a real-time database. In order to avoid overload problems during short-term registration period, which deconstraces the typical surge of traffics, the proposed system is designed to minimize the unnecessary interfacing tasks. On administrator side task, the sytem is designed to have environments by separating the dechcated server that restricts the scope of specific database thasks. In doing so, it become possibal to build an optical system by distributing, balancing the transaction load, maintainimg the security and efficient administrative tasks.
