The process of obtaining third-party financing contacts was analyzed via a two-stage game model: a "signaling game" for the first stage, and a "principal-agent model" for the second stage. The two-stage game was solved by a process of backward induction. In the second stage game, the optimal effort level of the energy saving company (ESCO), the optimal compensation scheme of the energy user, and the optimal payoffs for both parties were derived for each subgame. The optimal solutions forthe different subgames were then compared with each other. Our main finding was that if there is some restriction on ESCO's revenue (e.g. a progressive sales tax) that causes ESCO's revenue toincrease at a decreasing rate, then the optimal sharing ratio is uniquely determined at a level of strictly less than one under a linear compensation scheme, i.e. a unique balance exists. Subgames have a unique equilibrium arrived at separately for each situation,. Within this equilibrium, energy users accept energy audit proposals from H-type ESCOs with high levels of technology, but reject proposals from L-type ESCOs with low levels of technology. While L-type ESCOs cannot attain profits in the third-party financing market, H-type ESCOS can pocket the price differential between L-type and H-type audit fees. Accordingly, revenues in an H-type ESCO equilibrium increase not only in line with the technology of the ESCO inquestion, but also faster than in an L-type equilibrium due to more advanced technology. At the same time, energy users receive some positive payoff by allowing ESCOs to perform third-party financing tasks within their existing energy system without incurring any extra costs.
Purpose: Quasi-steady state simulations have played a pivoting role to expand the user group of simulation to design engineers and architects in Korea. Initially they are introduced in the market as a building energy performance rating tool. In domestic practice, however, quasi-steady state simulations seem to be regarded as a de facto simulation only available for energy retrofit. Selection of ECMs and economic feasibility analysis are being decided through these tools, which implies that running these tools has become a norm step of the Investment-grade Audit. Method: This study aims at identifying issues and problems with the current practice via test cases, analyzing the reasons and opportunities, and then eventually suggesting proper uses of quasi-steady state and dynamic simulations. Result: The functionality of quasi-steady state simulations is more optimized to the rating. If they are to used for energy retrofits, their off-the-shelf functions also need to be expanded for customization and detailed reports. Yet their roles may be limited only to the go/no go decision; because their algorithms are still weak at precisely estimating energy and load savings that are required for making investment decisions compared to detailed simulations.
The objective of this study was to examine alcohol consumption rates and the perception of drinking cultures among college students in the Wonju area. An examination of factors such as frequency of drinking, average quantity consumed, and frequency of heavy drinking suggested that the drinking rates were relatively high. Over 70% of subjects drank at least once a week, 66.2% typically drank more than 5 servings at a time, and 19.2% of males and 13.0% of females were heavy drinkers. It was revealed from an AUDIT (Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test) assessment that 71.3% of the subjects tested had various levels of alcohol-related problems. These problems were more severe in subjects that were male, selfboarding, or overweight. Alcohol related knowledge was not high because the subjects didn't know or incorrectly recognized some contents such as blood alcohol concentration, the energy content of alcohol, and the empty caloric characteristics of alcohol. Generally male, self-boarding, and overweight persons were not critical of the undesirable characteristics associated with drinking culture. Two opinions that were generally considered to be permissible were: 'Men should be able to drink' and 'Drinking is essential for a smooth human relationship'.
An electronic watt-hour meter with high-precision measurement technology can provide many valuable metering data of a real-time system measurements, such as per-phase voltage, ampere, active power, reactive power, apparent power, power factor, and system frequency. Also many of accumulated metering data such as active energy, reactive energy, apparent energy, and load profile can be gettable from an electronic watt-hour meter[1]. This paper presents an approach of the small-sized AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) that provides customers with a very valuable electrical service. This AMR service transmits lots of a valuable metering data by using ZigBee communication module, so that users resided in their premises can use the information to audit a power quality and improve their electrical conditions by using the PQ monitoring device equipped with ZigBee receiver. This PQ monitoring device shows metering data on LCD and transmits to the PC through an internal network. Also, the device can keep the valuable meter data into a built-in non-volatile memory. The final goal of this paper is to better understand the power quality of electrical systems and offer the power qualify information for the convenience of all power consumers.

This paper is studying the selective separation of methane and carbon dioxide which are the main ingredients of biogas. Adsorption performance of molecular sieve 13x for carbon dioxide seems to be reasonable. In this experiments carbon dioxide contains about 3~5 ppm of methane and it is impossible to obtain high purity carbon dioxide. Applying the low temperature technique, it is possible to separate methane and carbon dioxide from bio gas. PRO II simulation shows results a small change of liquefaction temperatures and no difference with the used thermodynamic models. Applying low temperature technique, It is possible to separate carbon dioxide and methane from biogas.
Recently, social issues related to cryptocurrency mining are continuously occurring at the same time as cryptocurrency prices are rapidly increasing. In particular, since cryptocurrency can be acquired through cryptographic operation, anyone with a computer can easily try mining, and as the asset value of major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum in creases, public interest is increasing. In addition, the number of cases where individuals who own high-spec computers mine cryptocurrencies in various places such as homes and businesses are increasing. Some miners are mining at companies or public places, not at home, due to the heat problem of computers that consume a lot of electrical energy, causing various problems in companies as well as personal moral problems. Therefore, this study studies the technology to obtain evidence for the traces of mining attempts using the Windows artifacts of the computers that mined cryptocurrency. Through this, it is expected that it can be used for internal audit to strengthen corporate security.
Short-term tests were conducted on a house at KIER, Daejon for its thermal performance evaluation. The test procedure and data analysis were made according to the PSTAR method. Each test period was 3 days during which the building was unoccupied. The data measured with 8 channels were used to renormalize an audit based simulation model of the house. The following are the key parameters obtained in the present analysis: 1) the building loss coefficient(skin conductance plus infiltration conductance during coheating period); 2) the effective building heat capacity; and 3) the effective solar gain. An estimation of total heat required to maintain a standard level of comfort during a typical winter season is also calculated on the basis of the renormalized simulation model and typical long term weather data.
SEEMP (Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan) guidelines for a ship's GHG reduction include a machinery modification of hull, an installation of energy efficiency enhanced attachment in hardware methods. It is also possible to bring a ship energy efficiency improvement by fuel-efficient operations or in other software methods. Hardware modification or installation on ship can bring financial burdens to a ship company compared to its improvement expectation. On the other hand, Software based energy-saving technology can be applicable on various ship types, and it is also expected high efficiency of ship energy use compared to hardware based technology in perspective of the investment costs and efficiency. In this paper, it is described that the ship handling simulator based evaluation was carried out using representative ship model of bulk, container and VLCC. Simulation environments were separated into 6 conditions according to the sea-state and weather condition, and the operation results were compared with those before and after energy saving system applied The container ship showed the largest FOC save rate after energy saving system applied although the others also showed energy save rate after using the system.

Unlike Urban building, horticultural facilities has a lot of heat loss through plastic or glass covering material which could be much influential to growing plant and consuming energy for heating greenhouse. In many cases, heat loss from a break of cover, a gap of joint sealing, the entrance to greenhouse and windows for ventilation are the main factors considered in calculating the heating load for horticultural facilities. however the normal observation through human eye and digital camera could not recognize where the heat loss occurred. but the infrared thermal image camera with detecting thermal difference could be very effective for noticing heat loss by analyzing infrared thermal image. In this study, greenhouse structure, covering material, internal and external provisions for Horticultural facilities were surveyed in different sites and Infrared thermal camera shooting and image analysis were performed for auditing heat loss from cultivation facilities The results from this study were that unexpected heat loss had been noticed in 7 representative cases of greenhouse such as side wall covered with single or double plastic, and the joint of horizontal thermal curtain, roof without horizontal thermal curtain, entrance to greenhouse, windows for ventilation. the most important factors for keeping heat energy were whether the horizontal thermal curtain with multifold thermal material was installed or not. The internal or external covering using multifold thermal curtain proved to be the most effective ways to keep heat energy from losing through heat transmission, heat radiation. from inside to outside the horticultural facilities.
This study was performed to identify the roles of residents for the environmentally sound and sustainable development, taco-polis(kologisches Bauen), eco-village and Symbiotic Housing. These buildings will achieve energy efficiency through design strategies such as passive solar heating system, natural cooling and day lighting. Their infrastructure will feature parking on the periphery, extensive pedestrian paths, outdoor ground lights that preserve stellar visibility, and environmentally sensitive technologies such as low writer use fixtures. And they will restore biodiversity while protecting the wildlife, wetlands, forests, soil, air and water. Their houses wile be designed to support home-based occupations, offering high-speed Internet access and other options to promote a localized, sustainable economy. To support and encourage the evolution of sustainable settlements, it is necessary to prepare constructing the physical facilities and the social functions relating with residents. The roles of residents are important to provide a high Quality lifestyle and to integrate a supportive social environment with a low-impact way of life. This study concluded the four main roles of residents for the sustainable of Eco-polis and Ecovillage. 1. Residents assist transition towards a sustainable society as eco-conscious consumers in the planning stage. 2. Residents live in a ecological way for the sustainable ecovillage. 3. Residents exchange information and education for increasing the community glue as a communication network. 4. Residents support and transmit their cultural vitality and tradition for the next generation. So, users are expected to encourage resident's participation in the planning, design, ongoing management and maintenance of the sustainable ecovillage.
