국내 에너지다소비건물의 용도별.지역별 온실가스 배출원단위분석 연구 (A Study on the Greenhouse Gas Intensity of Building Groups and Regional in Korea)

  • Our country set the mid-term reduction goal of greenhouse gases up to 2020 in accordance with Bali roadmap agreed in 2007 through the negotiation with UNFCCC in 2009 and specified the proper goal as by the Basic Act on Green Growth that went into effect at April, 2010. First of all the enlargement of green building construction has been suggested as a worldwide strategy to achieve the green house gas reduction. Building area is one of most important sectors for the countermeasure of climate change agreement and the achievement of national green house gas reduction goal and the need to reduce its green house gases has been increased accordingly. The objective of the study is to examine the status and characterization of mass energy consumption local governmental buildings' green house gas emissions depending on usage (hotel, school, apartment, hospital) through the green house gas emission source unit analysis. The result indicated that the energy source unit was proportional to green house gas source unit and hotel showed the highest green house gas emission source unit per open area of construction unit, followed by hospital, apartment, and then school. In case of apartment, green house gas emission source unit per open area of construction unit decreased as year went on. Meanwhile school building showed a striking increase in the annual energy source unit.

한국 제조업의 에너지효율 향상평가 (Energy Efficiency Improvements in the Korean Industry)

  • This study analyses the energy consumption increase by using a physical production index (PPI) based decomposition method. The energy efficiency of the Korean industry deteriorated to a large extent in the 1992 to 1997 period. This outcome, however, does not contradict the result of a previous study that the physical energy intensities (measured by energy use per production unit) decreased in four Korean energy intensive industries such as steel, cement, petrochemical and pulp and paper in the same period. Although the physical energy intensities in four industries considered decreased significantly, the energy efficiency of the Korean industry deteriorated because the increase in the value-added production was smaller than that in the physical production except for the steel industry. This outcome suggests that the reduction in the physical energy intensity alone will not result in reducing the economic energy intensity, thereby reducing the increase in the energy consumption of the Korean industry. Therefore, it necessitates to restructure the Korean industry towards a higher value-added production and to strengthen energy efficiency improvement efforts in the Korean industry. As the overinvestment in the energy intensive industries caused a deep price fall of Korean products and a reduction of the value added of the Korean industry and with it an increase in the economic energy intensity, a decrease in this intensity will highly depend on reducing the overcapacity in the energy intensive industries which was partly responsible for the currency and economic crisis of 1997.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a fundamental data for reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emission of detached houses by investigating the energy consumption characteristic of detached houses in Daegu. Although the ratio of the detached houses decreases, the detached houses are common dwelling form next to apartments. Nevertheless the study about the energy consumption of detached houses has been insufficient compared apartments. There is a necessity which will investigate the energy consumption characteristic of detached houses. Because that with the building quality which is various form is different from apartments. This study investigate construction and equipment conditions and analyzing effective factors on energy consumption of detached houses. And this study draw up the energy consumption unit and emission factors unit for greenhouse gas of detached houses. This study represent a basic report for energy consumption reduction and helps effective use of energy.

Effects of Uphill Exercise on Digestible Energy Intake and Energy Expenditure during Exercise in Yearling Horses

  • The objectives of this study were to evaluate the digestible energy intake and energy expenditure in yearling horses on different training protocols (uphill- and level-track exercise training protocols). Twenty-four thoroughbred yearlings (12 males and 12 females, aged 27.0$\pm$0.9 months) were divided into two groups based on their training on two different tracks: the uphill (with a gradient of about 3%) training group (uphill training) and the level training group (level training). The digestible energy (DE) intake and energy expenditure (EE) during exercise were measured in both the groups. It was found that the DE intake in the uphill training and the level training groups was 5.1$\pm$3.1 and 36.9$\pm$4.8 Mcal/day, respectively. The EE during exercise in the two groups was 3.05$\pm$0.51 and 2.07 $\pm$0.56 Mcal, respectively. Thus, there was a significant difference in the EE (p<0.05), but not in the DE intake between the animals of the two training groups. The EE for a given intensity of exercise was greater in the uphill training group than in the level training group, but the DE intake was not affected by the exercise intensity. The DE intake was not generally affected by the intensity of exercise in this study, but a daily negative gain of body weight was observed in the uphill training group, particularly in the females. Thus, the energy requirement may be higher in yearlings undergoing uphill training than in those undergoing level training.

한국 기후변화정책의 효과분석 (An Effectiveness Analysis of Climate Change Policy in South Korea)

  • South Korean central government has launched the first comprehensive climate change policies in 1999, and they have been renewed every three year. The third policies ended in 2007. However, it is quite rare to analyze whether the climate change policies are effective against climate change. In this context, this paper aims at analyzing the effectiveness of climate change policy which was launched for seven years from 1999 to 2007 in South Korea. The effectiveness analysis of policy can be done in terms of the individual policy and/or all policies being synthesized as a comprehensive unit. Employing the latter methodology, this paper analyzed the effectiveness on the basis of economic growth as independent variable, greenhouse gas emission as dependent variable, and energy use and its process as intervening variable. Seven analytic indicators covering the three variables were selected on the basis of two points in time before and after climate change policy having been launched. The seven indicators were analyzed in terms of three aspects. They were the change in the state of each indicator, the effectiveness of climate change policy from 1999 to 2007, and the effectiveness process from 1999 to 2007. The effectiveness process was analyzed in terms of the relational context and its flow processing path. Economic growth was advanced remarkably with increase in the total consumption of energy. As a result, greenhouse gas emission increased. However, energy efficiency increased with significant decrease in energy intensity, carbon intensity, and energy elasticity. The expansion of new and renewable energy over total energy supply was not effective significantly on the decrease in greenhouse gas emission. The processing path of climate change policy being effective advanced toward increase in energy efficiency through energy intensity rather than toward sustainable development. Such a way of the effectiveness of climate change policy implies that most policies focused on adaptation rather than on mitigation.

섬광에 의하여 사람 눈에 입사되는 광 에너지 (Irradiant Energy into an Eye from a Flash Light)

  • Since a flash light produces enormous amount of photon energy in short time, not only electro-optic and infrared(EO/IR) systems utilized for Intelligence Surveillance Target Acquisition and reconnaissance(ISTAR) activities but also the people of a combat field can be severely influenced by a high flash light bursting in front of them. The people who bumped into a flash could not escape such enormous amount of photon energy, resulting in being blind temporarily or even permanently. In order to investigate the effect of a high flash source on a human eye, it is essential to know how much photon energy be incident into an eye from the flash source. In this paper, the model of irradiated photon energy to individuals from some flashes is proposed. The proposed irradiated photon energy per unit area of retina is based on taking the situation to be modeled as a simple EO system in front of a flash light. The validity of proposed model was proved by the application of the model to human on the surface of the earth with the well known light source, the Sun. The model of this study can be utilized to simulate the retinal intensity and energy of a flash for various conditions such as the illumination levels, the distance from a flash busting site, luminous intensity and time of a flash.

암석에 대한 라이다 반사강도의 영향 인자 분석 (Analysis of Parameters Affecting LiDAR Intensity on Rock)

  • 이 연구에서는 라이다(LiDAR) 반사강도를 이용하여 암반 풍화도 및 변질도를 산정하는 작업의 기초연구를 진행하였다. 실내 시험을 통하여 라이다 반사강도에 직접적으로 영향을 미치는 인자와 그 영향 정도를 정량적으로 고찰하고자 하였다. 영향 인자로는 주사거리, 입사각, 표면거칠기, 표면색상, 암석물성, 광물조성, 포화도를 선정하였다. 실험에서는 FARO 라이다 장비와 12가지 종류의 시험편을 사용하였다. 실험 결과 반사강도는 표면색상, 입사각, 주사거리, 암석물성, 포화도 혹은 표면습윤상태, 표면거칠기 순으로 영향을 크게 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 한국은행에서 2000년도에 발행된 산업연관표를 적용한 주요 건축자재의 에너지소비량과 $CO_2$ 배출에 대한 원단위 DB는 있지만 2005년, 2007년에 발행된 산업연관표를 이용한 원단위 DB는 없는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 최근에 발행된 2005년, 2007년도 산업연관표를 이용하여 주요 건축자재에서 발생되는 에너지소비량 및 $CO_2$ 배출 원단위 값을 산정하고자 한다. 주요 건축자재의 에너지소비량 및 $CO_2$ 배출원단위 산출을 위한 방법은 산업연관표를 이용한 DB 구축 방식을 바탕으로 산출하였으며, 건설현장에서 주로 사용되는 16가지의 건설자재는 선별하여 적용하였다. 기존 연구결과에서 제시한 2000년도 산업연관표를 적용하여 산출된 원단위 DB 값과 비교한 결과 근소한 차이를 보이고 있어 본 연구의 산출방법이 적정한 것으로 판단하였다. 2005년, 2007년도 산업연관표를 이용하여 산출한 에너지소비량과 $CO_2$ 배출 원단위 값은 감소세를 보이고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 시멘트와 철근을 주원료로 하는 자재에서 가장 많은 에너지소비량 및 $CO_2$ 배출 원단위 값을 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 국내 실정에 적합한 건설자재 생산단계에서 발생되는 환경부하의 간접적인 예측이 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

한국 제조업에 대한 에너지절약 투자의 에너지 원단위 개선효과 분석 (An Empirical Analysis of the Effect of Energy Saving Investment on the Improvement of Energy Intensity in Korean Manufacturing)

  • 본 연구에서는 우리나라 제조업의 전체 에너지절약 투자액과 에너지원단위 자료를 이용하여 에너지절약 투자액이 에너지원단위를 개선시키는 효과가 있는지를 실증분석하였다. 실증분석에 사용된 자료는 패널자료(panel data)로서 제조업 9개 업종 가운데 분석기간 동안 시계열의 안정성이 상대적으로 떨어지는 것으로 판단되는 기타 제조업을 제외한 8개 업종이다. 이 가운데 에너지 다소비업종과 비다소비업종은 각각 4개씩이다. 분석기간은 에너지절약 설비 투자 자료가 이용 가능한 1982~2004년까지이다. 추정결과에 의하면, 첫째로 에너지절약 투자는 에너지원단위를 개선시키는 효과가 있는 것으로 추정되었으나, 에너지절약 절대량 측면에서 그 효과는 그리 크지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째로 에너지절약 자금이 에너지원단위를 개선시키는 데 있어 탄력성 측면에서는 에너지 다소비 업종에 비해 에너지 비다소비 업종에서 더 큰 것으로 추정되었다. 셋째로 에너지절약 관련 투자에 있어 에너지절약 투자 자금도 중요하지만, 자동화 투자도 에너지원단위 개선에 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났기 때문에 투자의 효율성 개선 측면에서 신중한 접근이 필요하다. 분석에 의하면, 자동화 투자의 에너지원단위 개선효과가 탄력성 측면에서 에너지절약 투자보다 큰 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 투자규모면에서 보면, 에너지절약 투자규모는 자동화 투자 규모에 비해 현격히 낮다. 따라서 탄력성 측면에서는 에너지원단위가 에너지절약 투자액보다 자동화투자에 보다 민감하게 반응하지만, 투자규모를 고려한 단위 투자비에 대한 온실가스 배출 저감효과는 에너지절약 투자액이 보다 큰 것으로 나타났다.

  • 본 연구에서는 피로해석을 단순화하기위한 등가 단위하중 방법을 제시하였다. 그리고 등가 단위하중을 이용하여 동체구조물의 피로수명을 평가하였다. 균열진전해석에 필요한 응력확대 계수와 기하학적 형상계수를 계산하기 위하여 유한요소 해석을 수행하였다. 또한 균열진전 방향을 평가하기 위하여 변형률 에너지 밀도 계수를 사용하였다.
