This scientific study was carried out to investigate the flora of Jecheon, located in the middle part of the Korean peninsula. We have surveyed the vascular plants of the above region from March to October 2014 (18 times). Totally, we identified 765 taxa; 127 families, 411 genera, 678 species, 9 subspecies, 70 varieties, 6 forms, and 2 hybrids. Endangered species designated by the law called' Protection Law for Endangered wild fauna and flora' were 6 taxa. The red data of vascular plants according to IUCN valuation basis comprised 29 taxa; 21 families, 26 genera, 29 species. 25 taxa were considered to be endemic to Korea. The floristic regional indicator plants found in this region were 122 taxa in total. Among them 12 taxa revealed the floristic degree V, 13 for floristic degree IV, 34 for floristic degree III, 11 for floristic degree II and 52 for floristic degree I. The naturalized plants were identified as 58 taxa. Further, we anticipate that the findings of this study survey would be useful for the scientific community to gain capacity to identify and conserve vascular plants of the region.
The purpose of this study was to conduct phenology monitoring of forest plant species in Mt. JuWang National Park, thereby establish long-term prediction and management system for species susceptible to climate change, and utilize the result as basic materials necessary for conservation of plant genetic resources in accordance with changes in their growth environment. Global Positioning System coordinates were marked on each indicator species and a specific number ticket was provided to each plant. Changes in their blooming time, time of blossoms falling, time of leaves bursting into life, and time of leaves turning, and time of leaves falling were recorded. Investigation was made once per week from April 10 in 2010 to November 30 in 2011 except for the time period between July and August when investigation was made biweekly. The investigated plants concerned 12 kinds-nine species of trees and three kinds of herbs. According to the result of the penology monitoring of Mt. JuWang National Park, their time of leaves bursting into life, time of leaves turning, and time of leaves falling were largely earlier in 2011 than in 2010. However, it is hard to say that it is due to the factor of climate change. Long-term collection of climate data and continuous monitoring of plant phenology are considered necessary in order to examine correlation between climate change and seasonal change patterns of plants.

The objective of this study was to provide basic data for the conservation of wetland ecosystems in the Civilian Control Zone and the management of Yongyangbo wetlands in South Korea. Yongyangbo wetlands have been designated as protected areas. A field survey was conducted across five sessions between April 2019 and August of 2019. A total of 248 taxa were identified during the survey, including 72 families, 163 genera, 230 species, 4 subspecies, and 14 varieties. Their life-forms were Th (therophytes) - R5 (non-clonal form) - D4 (clitochores) - e (erect form), with a disturbance index of 33.8%. Three taxa of rare plants were detected: Silene capitata Kom. and Polygonatum stenophyllum Maxim. known to be endangered species, and Aristolochia contorta Bunge, a least-concern species. S. capitata is a legally protected species designated as a Class II endangered species in South Korea. A total of 26 taxa of naturalized plants were observed, with a naturalization index of 10.5%. There was one endemic plant taxon (Salix koriyanagi Kimura ex Goerz). In terms of floristic target species, there was one taxon in class V, one taxon in Class IV, three taxa in Class III, five taxa in Class II, and seven taxa in Class I. Three invasive alien species (Ambrosia trifida L., Ambrosia artemisiifolia L., and Humulus japonicus Siebold & Zucc) were observed. For continuous conservation of Yongyangbo Wetlands, it is necessary to remove invasive alien plants and block the inflow of non-point pollutants.

This study was conducted as a basic data for the management of the Uiseong Traditional Irrigation Agricultural System by identifying plant diversity and distribution characteristics. The total number of plant taxa was identified as 88 families, 250 genera, 368 species, 7 subspecies, 9 varieties and 384 taxa. In the case of life form, the domancy form was in the therophytes(th), the radicoid form was a R5(monophyte), the disseminule form was the gravity D4(having no special modification for dissemination), and the growth form was the erect form was high. The number of plant taxa by land use type was higher in mountainoustype reservoirs and plain type reservoirs than other land use types. The distribution of plants by land use type according to the hemeroby grade was plantation in the case of 3 grade(meso-hemeroby) forests, and the understory were mainly photophilic plants. With 4 grade(β-euhemeroby), traditional cemetery, plain type reservoirs, mountainoustype reservoirs, stream, and rice terraces are areas with relatively low intensive management and have a wide variety of flora, whereas 5 grade(α-euhemeroby) orchard were mainly distributed with ruderal plant due to high intensive management. As for the number of plant taxa by reservoirs, the Wisgol pond in the case of plain type reservoirs, Ungok pond was high in mountainous type reservoirs. The protected species were rare plants 2 classification groups of Vulnerable(VU) species, 4 classification groups of Least Concrned(LC) species, 1 classification group of Data Deficient(DD) species, 5 classification groups of Korean endemic plants, and 49 classification groups of invasive alien plants, and the total naturalization index was 12.2%.

This study was performed to investigate the distribution of vascular plants and their usefulness in Mt. Hwaak (931m). The vascular plants were consisted of total 338 taxa; 92 families, 248 genera, 281 species, 1 subspecies, 47 varieties and 9 forms. It corresponded to 6.9% of totally 4,881 taxa distributed in Korea. The economic plants of this area were 278 taxa. It corresponded to 82.2% of collected plants in this area. Among the economic plants, there were 154 taxa of edible source, 163 taxa of medicinal source, 58 taxa of ornamental source, 91 taxa of pastural source, 22 taxa of industrial source and 9 taxa of timber source. Korean endemic plants of this area were 9 taxa. The rare and endangered plants was 1 taxon, and the specific species floristically of $I\;{\sim}\;V$ grades were 21 taxa. The naturalized plants were 19 taxa and naturalized ratio was 5.6% and Urban index was 6.8%.
This study was carried out to illiminate the diversity of vascular plants by making list of rheophyte and hydorphyte plants at Yugu stream. This study was conducted from Aug., 2009 to Sept. 2010 at 7 points. Based on the voucher specimens, vascular plants from investigated areas were 88 families 229 genera 290 species 3 subspecies 30 varieties 5 forms, totally 328 taxa. Korean endemic plants were 3 species such as Forsythia koreana (Rehder) Nakai (planted) and Paulownia coreana Uyeki (planted), and Weigela subsessilis (Nakai) L.H. Bailey. The rare and endangered plants were designated by Korea Forest Service were 4 taxa, such as Penthorum chinense Pursh, Acorus calamus L., Lilium callosum Siebold & Zucc. and Iris ensata var. spontanea (Makino) Nakai. Floristic special plants were totally 26 taxa, which were grade V of 2 taxa, grade IV of 2 taxa and grade III of 9 taxa. Naturalized plants were 27 taxa, that was 8.3% of whole discovered vascular plants in this area. Even naturalized plants has not influence on the vegetation of Yugu stream. Since village was composed along the stream and the roads and banks were linked, naturalized plants were flowed continuously into this region. So, strategy of the conservation for this region should be designed. Based on flora, 3 types of group were discriminated such as main stream type (4 points), branch stream type (2 points) and reservior type (1 point). Each group has difference in composition of plants.
