다양한 도서관 포털시스템의 서브셋인 통합 유저인터페이스 시스템을 (1) 검색(searching)기능, (2) 이용자 상호작용, (3) 인터페이스 customization, (4) 이용자 인증(authentication), (5) 디자인, (6) 데이터베이스 통신 프로토콜, (7) 벤더의 지원, (8) 소프트웨어 플랫폼 같이 8개 기준으로 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 통합 유저인터페이스는 EnCompass. MetaLib, Musesearch, SingleSearch가 가장 높은 평가 점수를 얻었으며 국내에서는 KDB의 메타서치가 가장 좋은 점수를 얻었다.

An ulcer is defined as loss of epithelium. Although many oral ulcers have similar clinical appearances, their etiologies encompass many disorders, including trauma, infection, immunologic disease, and malignant oral cancer. Oral squamous cell carcinoma(SCC) occupying about 90% of oral cancer, usually manifests as unhealed ulcer over 2 weeks. Oral SCC can metastasize to the cervical neck lymph node, and therefore the surgical therapeutic modality for oral SCC could encompass the neck node dissection as well as wide excision for primary lesions, which should leave the post-operative complication of functional damage like dysphagia and facial deformity. Therefore, it is important to discriminate oral SCC from other ulcerative conditions to make a prompt management. The knowledge for the pathogenesis of the ulcerative lesions could help the clinicians to understand the differences of clinical features and to practice an appropriate therapeutics.

The new tube model with variable diameter (Marrucci and Ianniruberto, 2004), recently introduced to interpret new elongational data of polymer melts, is here extended to encompass arbitrary flows, specifically shear flows. The predicted results compare well with existing data of entangled polymer melts. Challenges still remain when the comparison is extended to recent elongational data on entangled solutions by Sridhar.

Performance measurement is increasingly becoming a vital issue for promoting quality management within an organization. This research proposes a new performance measurement approach, called the Hierarchically Associated Performance Measurement, for the organizations which emphasize long term quality thrust through a balanced interface between the quality efforts of various units. The proposed approach is unique in that it considers relationships between internal quality activities and national quality award criteria and that it identifies and utilizes the quality responsibilities of functional units in order to encompass organizational roles in the evaluation process. The approach is illustrated via a numerical evaluation of a fictitious organization.

Fuzzy controller is one of the succeed controller used in the process control in case of model uncertainties. But it my be difficult to fuzzy controller to articulate the accumulated knowledge to encompass all circumstance. Hence, it is essential to provide a tuning capability. There are many parameters in fuzzy controller can be adapted, scale factor tuning of normalized fuzzy controller is one of the adaptation parameter. Two adaptation methods are implemented in this work on an experimental thermal process, which simulate heating process in liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) recovery process in one of petrochemical industries: Gradient decent (GD) adaptation method; supervisory fuzzy controller. A comparison between the two methods is discussed.

Here, we report a computer program written in Python, which phases SNP genotypes and infers inherited deletions based on the pattern of Mendelian inheritance within a trio pedigree. When tiered trio genotypes that encompass three generations are available, it narrows a recombination event down to a region between two consecutive heterozygous markers. In addition, the phase information that is inferred from the upper trio that is formed by one of the parents and grandparents can be propagated to phase the genotypes of the lower trio that is formed by the parents and an offspring.

This paper provides a framework for evaluating business information systems. The framework identifies three evaluation domains: IS business value, IS expenses, and IS functionality. Discussions of each category encompass what to be measured, how to measure, and how to judge the measured value. Then, the framework classifies three categories of individual information systems based on IS life cycle: industry-common, industry-similar, and firm-specific. This categorization is used to match the role of an individual system with the focus of evaluation efforts. The framework can contribute to the systematic design of evaluation programs for business information systems.

Working within classical distribution theory, we develop notions of multiplication and convolution for tempered distributions which are general enough to encompass the classical cases -such as pointwise multiplication of continuous functions or the convolution of $L^1$ functions- which most textbook treatments of distribution theory leave out. Pains are taken to develop a theory which satisfies the commutative and asociative laws.

Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is a product development tool used to ensure that the voice of the customer is heard and translated into products. This paper shows the applicability and usefulness of this product development tool in the apparel industry by developing an apparel example and taking it through the four matrices that encompass a QFD process.
