치위생(학)과 졸업예정자의 취업준비 및 선호도에 관한 조사연구 (Employment preparation and job preference of dental hygiene majoring students)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate dental hygiene majoring students on employment preparation and job preference. Methods : Subjects were 471 dental hygiene majoring students in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Gangwon-do, Daejeon, Chungcheong-do, Busan, and Jeju-do. Except 34 incomplete answers, 437 copies were analyzed. Results : Female accounted for 98.9%. Grade point average(GPA) ranged from 3.5 to 4.0 (38.8%). Most of the students lived in Gyeonggi (20.4%). Out of 364 students, 58.5% had hospital coordinator certificates and 36.3% had computer related certificatse. Those who studied in Gyeongnam wanted to work in Gyeongnam (90.6%), and those who studied in Seoul wanted to work in Seoul (79.7%). These results revealed the same tendencies in Gangwon(56.8%), Gyeonggi(47.6%) and Jeju(39.3%). Except for Chungbuk and Gyeongnam, most students preferred Seoul as a preferable working location (p<0.000). The reason for the preferable working locations included easy commutation (31.0%), higher income (28.5%), and brand value of hospital (22.5%). Most students chose job for easy commutation (44.8%, p<0.000) and welfare benefits (29.6%). Preference for income ranged from 15,000,000~20,000,000 Korean Won including Daejeon (75.0%), Gyeongnam (59.4%), Chungbuk (58.4%), and Jeju (56.7%). Conclusions : It is necessary to implement the various curricula development including future planning and mastery of foreign language education focused on globalization.

ECONOMICS OF MINI DAIRY FARMS IN SELECTED AREAS OF BANGLADESH

  • In this study an attempt was made to evaluate the economics of dairy farming in selected areas of Bangladesh. Data from 20 randomly selected farms were collected by survey method. Results show that cross-bred cows were more in number (2.55) in those farms than that of local cows (0.65). The number of cross-bred cows increased as the farm sizes increased. The production of milk per cross-bred cow was higher (5.66 litres) than the local ones (2.23 litres). Highest (5.74 litres) milk yield per cross-bred cow was recorded in large farms. The average lactation period for crossbred cows was higher (304 days) than the local cows (210 days). In production cost of farms, concentrates took the highest share (35.19%) followed by labour charges (23.64%). The production cost and gross returns for mini dairy farms were higher in large farms (TK. 183,005 and TK. 187,544, respectively), compared to medium and small farms. The benefit-cost ratio of all farms was 1 : 1.03, indicating that mini dairy farming is economically profitable. In addition, each farm created an annual employment opportunity of 649.70 man-days which was met by both male and female labourers. The small farms employed more female family labourers while the large farms depended more on hired labourers. The expansion of dairy farming with cross-bred cows is suggested for accelerating income and employment opportunities in rural Bangladesh.

대구지역 생산직 기혼여성의 취업 및 가족생활실태파악과 대책수립에 관한 연구(II) (A Study on Work and Family Life of Married Female Production Workers and Policy Implications(II))

  • This study examines work and family life of married women employed in a manufacturing industry. Data were gathered from the use of fact-to-face interview method from a sample of 230 married working women. The major findings of this study can be summarized as follows : (1) With high rates of change of job, most of the respondents remain unstable in their working situation. It was shown that the important factors influencing job satisfaction of married women are women's life cycle, degree of contribution of wife's income toward total family income, and husband's attitude toward wife's empolyment. The degree of job satisfaction is also strongly influenced by labor structural factors such as pay, work environment and fringe benefits. (2) The amount of household labor time was limited by job-related factors rather than by family-related factors, because among these working women employment itself is necessarily for their subsistance. (3) It was shown that wives participated more actively in their marital communications than their husbands. Most of the respondents showed the syncratic type of the decision making patterns, but this results does not necessarily mean wives exercised an equal power with their husbands. The economic factors and the emotional instability of the husband are the ones mostly influencing marital conflicts of the employed women. It was found that the respondents easily revealed marital conflicts related to personal problems of their husbands(such as extramarital affairs, gambling and alchoholism). However, they tried to overcome the structural conflicts related to authoritarian attitudes of their husbands or economic problems without any complaints. (4) Mothers have difficulty in controlling their adolescent children, due to the weakening of parental authority. Although most of the respondents perceived their employment as having negative impacts on their children, they still have high expectations toward their children. Inspite of low degree of father role expectations and facther role performance of their husbands, most of the respondents anticipated expressive roles as well as traditionally instrumental role from their husbands. Finally, these findings would help us determine family welfare policies in Korea. Improvements in paid and household labor structure of married women should be accomplished at the national level. Also, the acting programs for parent education, marital councelling services, and law enforcement for equal employment between men and women should be provided in our society.

수도권 지역 보건소 방문간호사의 계약직 취업경험: 고용형태 및 처우를 중심으로 (Contract Employment Experiences of Visiting Nurses at Public Health Centers in the Metropolitan Area: Focused on Employment Type and Treatment)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted with a focus group interview that drew out experiences, limitations, and difficulties in the workplace according to the employment conditions of visiting nurses in the public health centers. Methods: A total of 12 visiting nurses are those working in the public sector in Seoul and Gyeonggi province who were willing to participate in the interview. Analysis categories and coding were divided into three categories: compensation system, occupational status, and opinions to improve their treatment. Using the content analysis method, the current working status and compensation system of visiting nurses were described. Results: The main themes derived from the significant statements of visiting nurses were 'Ten years of frozen salary system', 'Full-time workers of their own league', 'Excluded from performance benefits', 'Every visiting nurses are virtually precarious', 'Experience of exclusion and discrimination', and 'Reasons and barriers to be a full-time worker'. All of the visiting nurses working in the community insisted on having equal treatment for work of equal value. Visiting nurses in the public health sector wanted to be set to the same payment system and the fair allowance system as well. It is necessary to continuously seek solutions to the problems left in insisting on the civil service of visiting nurses. Conclusion: Visiting nurses who were working in a precarious job position felt job insecurity, and experienced discrimination, alienation, and exclusion. Legal and institutional reform is needed to improve the treatment of visiting nurses.

Sustainable Entrepreneurship among Rural Women in Nigeria: An Assessment of Benefits

  • Purpose - While sustainability is based on the argument that the world's resources are finite and their demand will ultimately surpass supply, entrepreneurship on the other hand argues that there are inherent opportunities to address this through conserving, recycling, switching to more renewable resources and making effective use of available finite resources. Research design, data, and methodology - In response to the lack of scientific information on the outcomes of entrepreneurship in rural Nigeria, this paper surveys the benefits (social, economic and environmental) of women engagement in waste plastic bags recycling in Adamawa State of Nigeria. A descriptive research design was adopted and data was collected from 26 respondents with the use of a semi-structured questionnaire, which was analyzed using descriptive statistics and presented in frequency tables. Results - Results indicated that 21 women have gained employment, who would have remained unemployed; 80.8% of who make profits below 10000 Naira per month and collectively, they recycle 179.3kg of waste polythene bag per month. Conclusions - It was recommended that the women should be further their education; adequate records of costs and sales should be kept; and savings should be encouraged among them.

한국 도로 자본이 산업에 미친 영향과 생산성 분석 (Study on The Influence of Road Capital to Industry and Productivity Growth in South Korea)

  • PURPOSES : This study is to suggest the Influence of road capital to industry and productivity growth in South Korea. METHODS : Based on the literature review, The relevant policy questions addressed in this report are : cost reduction and Scale elasticities of road, effect of road capital stock on demand for labor, capital and materials, marginal effect of road, industry TFP growth decomposition. RESULTS : The marginal benefits of the road capital at the industry level were calculated using the estimated cost elasticities. Demand for the road capital services varies across industries as do the marginal effects. The marginal benefits are positive for the principal industries. This suggests that for these industries the existing stock of road capital may be under supplied. The contribution of road capital to TFP growth is positive in principal industries. The main contribution of road capital is in the manufacturing industries ; the magnitudes of contribution varies among industries. These results indicate that growth in exogenous demand is most important contributor to TFP growth. CONCLUSIONS : The road capital have a significant effect on employment, private capital and demand for materials inputs in all industries. At a given level of output, an increase in road capital lead to variety to demand for all inputs in all industries.

교육부 고시 개정이 대학 현장실습학기제에 미치는 영향: 대학 현장실습 운영자의 인식을 중심으로 (Effects of the Amendment of Regulation of Ministry of Education and Co-op: Focusing on the Perception of University Co-op Operators)

  • On July 6, 2021, the Ministry of Education revised and announced the operating regulations of the undergraduate co-op with the aim of protecting students rights and student-centered operation based on mutual benefits for students and institutions. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze universities' perceptions against the amendment of regulation of the Ministry of Education's into universities/college, regions. According to a survey of 75 KACE, we found that colleges are more difficult than universities in terms of administrative work, company participation, reduced opportunities for co-op, and managing participating companies. Next, most of the regional differences in difficulties were not significant, and only the decline in company participation rate was more difficult in Daegyoung/Gangwon/Chungcheong/Jeju than in the metropolitan area. Finally, policy directions such as the differential application of practical support expenses according to the size of the company, tax benefits for institutions, and clarification of the concept of job training were presented.

한국 자활사업의 비용-편익분석 연구 (The Cost-Benefit Analysis of Korean Self-Support program)

  • 본 연구는 우리나라의 전체 자활사업에 대한 비용-편익 분석을 목적으로 한다. 자활사업을 통해 투입된 비용과 자활사업을 통해 산출된 편익의 규모를 파악하고, 이를 비교 평가함으로써 자활사업의 효율성에 대해 분석해 보고자 한다. 첫째, 회계적 관점에서 (기초수급자들이 자활사업 참여 전에 근로하지 않고 기초급여에 의존하였다는 가정에 기반하여) 비용-편익 분석한 결과, 전체 자활사업의 경우 참여자 입장과 사회전체적 입장에서 순편익이 발생하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 대안적 관점에서 비용-편익 분석을 실시한 결과 탈수급율과 취업률의 향상이 있을 경우 편익이 급속하게 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 우리나라 전체 자활사업의 비용과 편익을 분석한 최초의 연구로서의 의의를 가진다.

근로능력평가지표의 취업에 대한 영향 비교: 장애등급, ICF 활동참여수준, 일상생활 도움필요정도 및 자기평가건강상태를 중심으로 (Effects of work ability on the employment status of people with disabilities: Comparing degrees of disability, ICF activity limitations & participation restriction, levels of assistance needed for daily activities, and self-assessed health status)

  • 근로능력은 장애인소득보장정책과 장애인고용정책에서 정책대상자를 선정하는 핵심요인이다. 우리나라에서 사용하고 있는 근로능력평가지표인 장애등급은 의학적 손상에 기초하여 결정되는 것으로, 제대로 근로능력을 평가하지 못한다는 비판을 받고 있다. 이 연구에서는 장애등급, ICF 활동참여수준, 일상생활도움필요정도 및 자기평가건강상태의 4 근로능력평가지표들이 장애인의 취업여부에 대한 설명력을 비교함으로써 가장 적절한 평가지표를 찾아 내고자 하였다. 그 결과, ICF 활동참여수준이 장애인의 취업여부에 대한 설명력이 가장 높았으며, 이어서 일상생활도움필요정도, 장애등급, 그리고 자기평가건강상태의 순으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 장애인연금제 및 장애인고용정책 등에서 적절하게 활용할 수 있는 근로능력평가지표는 ICF 활동제한 및 참여제약 영역에 해당하는 지표들이라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 ICF 활동제한 및 참여제약 영역을 바탕으로 한 근로능력 평가지표가 장애등급보다 더 적절한 근로능력평가지표라고 할 수 있을 것이다.

아파트 유·무인 경비시스템의 경제성 비교 연구: 노인일자리 사업의 효용성 제고를 중심으로 (A Comparative Study of Economical Efficiency in Apartment Security System: Focused on a Enhancing the Effectiveness of Senior Employment Programs)

  • 본 연구는 2015년부터 감시 단속적 근로자들에게 최저임금 100%가 적용되면서 아파트 관리비 인상의 부담으로 인해 경비체계를 유인화 시스템에서 무인화 시스템으로 바꾸거나 경비원의 인력을 대폭 감소시키려는 아파트가 증가하고 있다. 이러한 현 상황에서 아파트 경비의 유 무인화에 대한 경제성 비교 연구를 실시하였다. 이를 위해 비용 편익분석을 통해 2014년부터 2018년까지 5년간 아파트 유 무인 경비시스템의 경제성 비교를 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 무인경비 시스템의 비용 편익 비율은 최소값의 경우 1.66%와 최대값의 경우 1.30%의 편익이 발생된 것을 알 수 있다. 또한 유인경비 시스템의 비용 편익 비율은 최소값의 경우 1.42%와 최대값의 경우 1.66%의 편익이 발생한 점을 미루어 볼 때 아파트 경비시스템 체계를 유인시스템에서 무인시스템으로 변경할 경우 경제적으로 큰 효용성을 얻기가 힘들 뿐만 아니라 특히 최대값의 경우 오히려 무인경비 시스템 보다 유인경비 시스템의 경제적 효용성이 큰 것으로 나타났다.
