심리적 주인의식과 혁신행동에 관한 연구: 직무만족과 직무열의를 중심으로 (A Study on the Psychological Ownership and Innovative Behavior: Focus on Job Satisfaction and Job Engagement)

  • This study investigated the relationship between psychological ownership and the innovative behavior of Korean employees. This paper also examined whether job satisfaction positively mediates the above relationship. In addition, we address the moderating role and moderated mediation role of job engagement in the relationship between job satisfaction and innovative behavior. By using cross-sectional data, with questionnaires administered to 289 employees working in Korean hospitals, the main hypotheses were tested. The result of empirical analysis has shown that psychological ownership was significantly positively related to both employee innovative behavior. The results also found that job satisfaction positively mediated the relationship between psychological ownership and innovative behavior of employees. In addition, there was significant moderating effect of job engagement on the relationship between psychological ownership and job satisfaction and the moderating mediating role of job engagement was found.

Jay-Customer Behavior's Influence on Job Stress and Customer Orientation: Perceived Organizational Support's Moderating Effect

  • The study aimed to analyze jay-customer behavior's impact on service industry employees' job stress to understand the importance of personnel management. Additionally, it aimed to identify strategies for managing job stress by examining perceived organizational support's moderating effects. The results show that the subdimensions of jay-customer behavior (i.e., verbal aggression, physical aggression, and sexual harassment) positively influenced employees' job stress. Second, job stress acts as a mediator between customer verbal and physical aggression and customer orientation, but not between customer sexual harassment and customer orientation. Third, organizational support had a moderating effect on the association between customer verbal aggression and job stress. This study demonstrates how jay-customer behavior negatively affects employees and threatens their well-being. It not only enriches the research on jay-customer behavior but also provides implications for service companies toward developing internal marketing strategies for enhancing employee happiness and fostering customer orientation.

대학병원직원의 지식경영활동과 성과에 관한 연구 (Knowledge Management Activity and Performance of University Hospital Employees)

  • Background: The efficient knowledge management in hospital organization is generally known as the important activities relevant to employees' knowledge sharing behavior and work performance. This research examined factors affecting employees' knowledge sharing behavior and work performance in top 4 university hospitals. This study is based on individual factors such as incentives, reciprocity, behavioral control, and subjective norms. Also, there are organizational factors such as CEO support, learning climate, IT system, rewards system, and trust. Methods: Data was collected from employees who are working at 3 hospitals university in Seoul and 1 university hospital in Gyeonggi-Do through the self-administered questionnaires. A total of 779 questionnaires were analyzed by PASW SPSS ver. 18.0. (SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA). Results: The significant variables affecting knowledge sharing behavior are behavioral control (in individual factor) and CEO, IT system, and trust (in organization factor). Also the significant variables affecting work performance are incentives, reciprocity, subjective norms, and behavioral control (in individual factor) and CEO support, IT system, reward system, and trust (in organization factor). Conclusion: The personality and organization characteristics factors is important to improve knowledge sharing behavior and work performance of hospital employees. Therefore, to make more efficient knowledge management is to build and system knowledge sharing culture, system, and leadership and to develop practical strategies.

Why Do Employees Behave Entrepreneurially? A Case of Thailand

  • The objective of this study is twofold: first, to investigate how organizations encourage factors that have an impact on employees' entrepreneurial behavior from employee's perspectives and experiences; and second, to discover how and why employees behave entrepreneurially within the organization. A case study method is considered as an appropriate approach to scrutinize intrapreneurial behavior because it principally concentrates on an investigation into a contemporary organizational phenomenon and context concerning entrepreneurial activities in-depth within its real situation. In data collection, an Asian multinational retail company was selected. Semi-structured interviews were carried out with 24 executive-level employees who had been working in various departments for more than 5 years. Each in-depth interview lasts for a duration of 40 to 60 minutes. The results reveal several understandings into the combination of individual-level and organizational-level factors that promote the intrapreneurial behavior and activities of the established firm in the context of Thailand. In this regard, six factors have been found as the key determinants that make an impact on innovativeness, proactiveness, and risk-taking behaviour of the employees. Those factors are personal preference, organizational stability, management support, compensation, reward system, teamwork, quality of relationship with colleagues, work autonomy and the quality of relationship with the superiors.

Continuance Adoption of Working from Home after the COVID-19 Outbreak: Empirical Evidence from Saudi Arabia

  • The COVID-19 pandemic sweeping the world has rendered a large proportion of the workforce unable to commute to work, to mitigate the spread of the virus. This has resulted in both employers and employees seeking alternative work arrangements. Due to the pandemic, most if not all workers experienced work from home Hence work from home has become a policy priority for most governments. Individuals have started to change their behavior to stick to the curfew and rapidly conform to the new way of life. This study is conducted to understand how organizations and people adjust to these developments and challenges. Numerous organizations are changing to the online method of working because of the COVID-19. Because of the continuous adoption of a specific behavior after the COVID-19 pandemic situation ended, employees were expected to continue working from home. To investigate deep into the behavioral consequences of such a pandemic situation, in-depth interviews were conducted in several companies in Saudi Arabia. This study was conducted by extending the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and the theory of reasoned action (TRA) to explore and assess the various factors that determine the continuous adoption intention of work-from-home by the Saudis. The finding shows that the employees' positive attitude, subjective norms, and self-efficacy affect the employees' intention to adopt work from home. The continuous adoption of work from home has been affected by employees' relevant intention and controllability.

How to Enhance an Employee's Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) as a Corporate Strategy

  • Purpose: This study is to explore how to enhance an organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) for private companies, boosting their employees; performance. With OCB in place, businesses won't have to worry about employees engaging in harmful or counterproductive actions. Better coordination will benefit employees' skill sets and the company's overall performance. Research design, data and methodology: We used a data extraction form and present it as an appendix. These forms could demonstrate to the reader what the present authors looked for and how they found it. We also investigated to obtain text datasets whether any extractions were carried out in duplicate, and, if so, whether duplicate abstraction was carried out independently. Results: There are four solutions to boost employees' OCB for HR practitioners: 'Creating an Environment that Supports Constructive OCB', 'Encouraging Productive Behavior in the Workplace and Reward properly, 'Integrating Corporate Citizenship into Performance Evaluations', and 'Training to Use OCB and Educating on its Benefits'. Conclusions: Based on the research findings of the current study, this study strongly concludes that OCB should be encouraged, and employers and employees should collaborate on efforts to boost morale and increase productivity. As a direct result of their efforts, their firms enjoy improved earnings while experiencing reduced overhead costs.

외식고객의 고객시민행동과 고객불량행동이 서비스 종업원의 감정부조화와 직무소진에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Eating-out Customers' Customer Citizenship Behavior and Customer Badness Behavior on Service Employees' Emotional Dissonance and Job Burnout)

  • 본 연구는 외식 고객의 고객시민행동과 고객불량행동이 서비스 종업원의 감정부조화와 직무소진에 미치는 영향력을 밝히는데 목적을 갖는다. 이를 위해 서울지역 외식종업원 338명을 대상으로 실증조사 후 통계분석 프로그램을 통해 가설을 검정하였다. 전체적인 연구 결과 첫째, 고객시민행동이 감정부조화에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 고객시민행동이 직무소진에 미치는 영향은 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 고객불량행동이 감정부조화에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 고객불량행동이 종업원의 직무소진에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 종업원의 감정부조화가 직무소진에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 종합해보면 외식고객의 고객시민행동이 서비스 접점에서 종업원의 감정부조화와 밀접한 영향을 미치는 요인으로 외식업에서의 고객시민행동과 고객불량행동의 중요성을 확인시켜 준 것으로 평가할 수 있다. 이는 고객의 불량행동이 종업원의 감정부조화와 직무소진에 유의한 영향을 나타내므로 서비스 담당 종업원의 무조건적인 감정 억제나 고객 우선 중심의 영업 전략을 추구할 시 서비스 품질 저하로 이어질 수 있음을 시사한다. 따라서 종업원과 고객의 우호적인 접점에서 긍정적인 상호작용을 통해 고객시민행동을 촉진시켜 충성스러운 서비스를 통해 공헌 행동을 유발할 수 있는 마케팅 측면에서의 전략적 시스템화가 요구된다.

호텔기업 종업원의 감성지능이 고객지향성과 CRM성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Emotional Intelligence on the Customer Orientation and Customer Relationship Management Performance of Hotel Employees)

  • Purpose - This study aimed to (a) investigate the effects of emotional intelligence on customer orientation, (b) examine the impact of customer orientation on customer relationship management (CRM) performance (including CRM-related variables such as 'relationship commitment,' 'image of corporation,' and 'customer loyalty'), and (c) identify the conceptual framework of emotional intelligence. Research design, data, and methodology - The data were collected using a questionnaire given to a sample of employees of luxury hotels in the metropolitan area. To test the hypotheses, AMOS were conducted for the 271 respondents of the sample using the SPSS Win 17.0 software. The concept of emotional intelligence (EI) has been on the radar of many leaders and managers over the past few decades. Emotional intelligence is generally accepted to be a combination of emotional and interpersonal competencies that influence behavior, thoughts, and interactions with others. Emotional intelligence consists of four factors: understanding the self's emotion, understanding other people's emotions, emotion utilization, and emotion control. Understanding the self's emotion means to understand of my own emotions. Understanding other people's emotions is to understand of the emotions of the people around me and to know how my friends feel based on their behavior. The concept of emotion utilization means to set goals for myself and then try to achieve them, encouraging myself to do my best. The concept of emotion control means I can control my temper, handle difficult situations rationally, and calm down quickly when I am very angry. Results - As a result of the analysis, three factors (understanding the self's emotion, understanding of other people's emotions, and emotion utilization) were shown to have a significant effect on customer orientation. Emotion control had an insignificant effect on customer orientation. Only emotion control makes it difficult to solve customers' problems because it is a passive behavior. In order to solve the customers' problems, hotel employees have to show a positive attitude. Second, customer orientation had a significant effect on customer relationship management performance (customer relationship commitment, corporate image, and customer loyalty). In other words, customer orientation increases commitment to customer relationships. For example, employees who have a customer-orientated perspective provide good service to their customers, while employees who don't have a customer-orientated perspective can't satisfy their customers. Customer orientation can also generate a good image among customers, because they evaluate the image of a hotel through the behavior of hotel employees. So it is very important for employees to show excellent customer orientation. Conclusions - It is very important for hotel CEOs to manage their employees' emotional intelligence. In order to increase their employees' emotional intelligence abilities, CEOs have to manage the overall corporate culture and reward programs to achieve what they want. This is because the system can lead to a customer-orientated mind-set and CRM performance among employees. As a result, the hotel CEO has to pay attention to the emotional intelligence of employees to achieve strong CRM performance. The sentence as originally written was a bit unclear.   • The purpose of this research is to study empirically the relationship between servant leadership and organizational effectiveness and more importantly the moderating effect of Hospital employees' belief in public service on such relationship. The result showed that servant leadership positively affects three organizational effectiveness including job satisfaction, organizational commitment and OCB(organizational citizenship behavior). It was also found that Veterans Hospital employees' belief in public service moderated the relationship between servant leadership and those three organizational effectiveness variables. In other words, those who have strong belief in public service showed higher job satisfaction, organizational commitment and OCB as well as higher service and responsibility mind. Finally, limitations of the study and suggestions for future studies are presented in the conclusion.

Do Economic Attitudes Drive to Employee Productivity? Lesson from Indonesia

  • Productive human resources are important assets for companies in facing the global economic competition. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of economic attitudes toward employees' job satisfaction as well as understanding the impact of economic attitudes toward employee productive behavior at "Sentra Tenun Ikat" in East Java. The research method applied in this study is quantitative research with an explanatory design, which is intended to gain a better understanding of the relationship between variables. The population in this study amounted to 394 participants from SMEs and joint business groups. Meanwhile, the sample was 197 people and collected using a proportional random sampling technique. The variable measurement was carried out by a questionnaire distributed to respondents, which consisted of thirty-five closed questions. Each question item provides five alternative answers. Furthermore, it is calculated using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) undergoing the LISREL 8.80 program. The findings indicated that there was a positive influence of economic attitudes on employees' job satisfaction. Indeed, the positive value coefficient indicates that there is an effect that is directly proportional to economic attitudes toward employees' productive behavior through employee performance satisfaction, namely, the better the economic attitude taken, the higher the productive behavior of employees.
