도시 기혼 직업인의 가사분담관리행동과 심리적 복지감에 관한 연구 (A Study on Management of Division of Household Work and Psychological Well-Being of Married and Employed Urbanite)

  • The purpose of this study were to empirically verify the influence of varables on psychological well-being of married and employed urbanite and to provide a basis for promoting the quality of life. The subject of this study were 270 married and employed urbanite and interviewed with a questionnaire. The data were analyzed by SPSS/PC+ program for the frequency, mean, standard deviation, and regression analysis. The major results of this study were as follows: 1) The score of management of division of household work was a medium-level. The score of psychological well-being of married and employed urbanite was relatively high. 2) Variables that affect management of division of household work were sex, income, degree of using information, and degree of stress recognition. 3) Variables that affect psychological well-being were degree of work satisfaction, degree of income propriety, degree of stress recognition, fate control orientation and material orientation. 4) The influenced level of degree of work satisfaction on psychological well-being of married and employed urbanite was highest among the other variables.

  • Since the late 20th century, digital technology has changed our environment in many ways. The representative advanced homes today embed digital facilities such as a sensor infrastructure, a networking system, and ubiquitous display. In this point of view, this study was intended to define the apartment residents' diverse needs for digital home design. The subjects are 400 wives who live in Busan. The findings are as follows; (1) The factors of the housing activities are extracted as 'guest hosting,' 'family entertaining,' 'digital network,' 'daily domestic affair,' 'non-daily domestic affair,' 'media using,' and 'bathing & exercising' activities. (2) The 'digital network activities' occurred more frequently in the households with non-employed wife and preschool children, and with employed wife and preschool and elementary school children. (3) The factors of the digital home system were extracted as 'safety & maintenance,' 'health & convenience,' 'educational & housekeeping,' and 'cultural & entertaining' systems. (4) The needs of non-employed wives for the safety & maintenance and the educational & housekeeping systems are varied by family life cycle and wife age. While, the needs of employed wives for the educational & housekeeping and the culture & entertaining systems are varied by dwelling-size and wife age.

자영업의 지속기간과 지속의사의 영향요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on Factors for Sustaining Period and Willingness of Continuing of Self-employed Business)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the influencing factors on the continuity and the willingness of continuing self-employment. The sample of 321 was selected from self-employed workers living in Daegu. For data analysis, t-test, multiple regression, and logistic analysis were used. The major findings were as follows : 1. The sustaining period of self-employment were affected by gender, age, and educational attainment of self-employed workers, as well as the amount of starting capital, couple's partnership in business or not, and the type of industry in business. 2. Willingness to continue self-employment is more likely for those who without other income source, have positive vision with future economic prospects, have more satisfied with their self-employed work.

에코세대의 취업변화와 자살생각 (Employment Transitions and Suicide Ideation among Echo Generation)

  • Background: This study aimed to investigate the association between employment transitions and suicide ideation among the echo generation. Methods: This study used survey data from the 2008 and 2010 Seoul Welfare Panel Study (Wave I, II). The sample population was restricted to the echo generation aged between18 and 31, and the total of 882 samples were included in the final dataset. Employment transitions were categorized into four groups. The groups were defined as 'employed-employed', 'unemployed-employed', 'employed-unemployed', and 'unemployed-unemployed'. We used logistic regression to find out the association between employment transitions and suicide ideation among the echo generation. Results: 'Employed-unemployed' and 'unemployed-unemployed' groups were likely to have an association with depression (odds ratio [OR], 1.49; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.46 to 1.51; OR, 1.57; 95% CI, 1.56 to 1.59) accordingly. 'Unemployed-unemployed' group also was related to suicide ideation (OR, 1.39; 95% CI, 1.36 to 1.42). Interestingly, 'unemployed-employed' group showed a strong association with suicide ideation among the echo generation (OR, 3.85; 95% CI, 3.75 to 3.95). Conclusion: Experience in unemployment increases the risk of depression and suicide ideation. Moreover, the precarious job also increases the risk of suicide ideation.

일부 기혼 직업여성과 도시, 농촌 가정주부간의 인공유산 상태에 관한 고찰 (A Survey on Induced Abortion)

  • In order to explore the present status of induced abortion, a survey was conducted on 578 married women : 320 employed women, 165 urban and 93 rural housewives, during the period form June, 1972 to september, 1972. The results were as follows: 1. The rates of induced abortion in urban housewives, employed women and rural housewives were 50.3%, 30.3% and 1l.8%, respectively. 2. With regard to the duration of marital life, the rate of induced abortion was higher group of 11-16 and 17-22 years of duration than those of less than 4 years ana more than 23 years. 3. There were significant differences between housewives and the employed women. and also between urban and rural housewives in the rates of induced abortion. 4. The mean number of pregnancies was 4.9 and 4.8 for the rural and urban housewives while for the employed women was 2.1. 5. The mean number of live births was 4.5 and 3.2 for the rural and urban housewives while for the employed women was 2.1. 6. Average number of living children of the women who had experienced induced abortions was 4.8 and 3.1 for the rural and urban housewives while for the employed . women was 2.5. 7. There was a significant correlation between induced abortions and social class or educational level. The higher their level of education or social class, the more frequently women were experienced induced abortions. 8. There was a significant correlation between experience of induced abortions and family planning practice, vis., the women who had experienced induced abortions made more use of family planning practices.

중년기 주부의 취업여부에 따른 가족생활교육 요구도 분석 (A Study on The Needs in The Family Life Education Among The Middle Aged Employed Wives and House Wives)

  • This study is to find out whether the family life education can help the middle aged wives to resolve their problems and to keep their lives healthy. For this purpose self-administered questionnaires were used for 628 persons whose ages between 40 to 59 residing in the Metropolitan Area of Soul. Deta collected were analyzed by statistical methods such as the factor analysis frequency distribution percentile mean t-test chi-square Anova and Duncan's multiple range test through the SAS program package. Major results obtained are as follows; 1) The most demanding education content in the are of the spousal relationship was the helping program for the role change from parent-child relationship to spousal relationship. Employed wives demanded conflict resolution skill training program between parents and children while house wives showed the highest interest in guiding their children's future. 2) There are significant differences between employed wives and house wives in the areas f parent-child relationship communication and home managment of the need assessment. In detail employed wives showed higher interest in education the children more independent than house wives. Employed wives also showed higher interest than house wives in the education content about the factors for communication problems in the communication area. 3) About the application method in the family life education there was no significant difference between employed wives and house wives in terms of the necessity of the problem solving methods of follow-up meeting in the family life education while there was a significant difference in the past education program participation intention to participate in the future education program and the education setting between employed wives and house wives.

중·고령 자영업자들의 고혈압 발생에 미치는 영향 요인 분석: 고령화연구패널조사를 이용하여 (Predictors of Hypertension among Middle-aged and Elderly Self-employed Workers: Results from a Baseline Survey of the Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the individual and working environment-related factors affecting hypertension among middle-aged and elderly self-employed workers in South Korea. Methods: This was a secondary data analysis of data from the Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging (KLoSA). The study sample included 1,319 middle-aged and elderly self-employed workers who were diagnosed without hypertension and older than 45 years at Wave 1 of the KLoSA. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Cox proportional hazards regression analysis using SPSS 20.0. Results: About 20% of the middle-aged and elderly self-employed workers were diagnosed with hypertension within about 8 years from the baseline. the significant predictors of hypertension among the participants were age, diabetes mellitus, body mass index, frequency of health examinations, working hours per week, the presence of regular day off, and the type of job. Conclusion: Middle-aged and elderly self-employed workers are vulnerable to work-related health problems. In order to prevent hypertension among self-employed workers, it is necessary to improve the work environment-related factors as well as individual life styles.

자영업이 국가경제에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Self-Employment on the National Economy)

  • 우리는 본 논문에서 자영업의 변화가 국민경제에 미치는 영향 분석을 통해 올바른 정책 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 즉, 자영업의 현황 및 자영업자 지원의 정책 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 우리는 변수들의 동태적 관계를 파악하기에 위해 VAR 모형을 사용하여 자영업 추이와 경시경제 변수 간의 상호 영향을 파악하였다. 분석 결과 자영업자 비중의 외생적 충격은 실질성장률에 대해 유의한 영향이 없으나, 고용 있는 자영업자와 고용 없는 자영업자로 구분하여 분석할 경우 고용 있는 자영업자의 비중의 증가는 실질성장에 긍정적 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 향후 연구에서는 자영업자 비중 변화에 대한 거시경제 변수의 단기적 효과를 추정하기 위해 분기별 자료 등으로 추가 분석을 시도할 필요가 있다.

영양교사와 급식영양사의 직무만족도 및 수행도 비교연구(I) (Comparative Study of the Job Satisfaction, Job Performance and Job Importance Level of School Nutrition Teachers and School Dietitians)

  • School dietitians are divided into two groups according to their status of employment, school nutrition teachers and dietitians, with the latter being irregularly employed by the institution. In this study, the job satisfaction, communication ability, work performance and importance in feeding services and dietetic counseling of both groups were compared. To accomplish this, 100 regularly employed school nutrition teachers (regularly employed) and 101 dietitians (irregularly employed) were surveyed by questionnaire. The results were as follows: (1) The irregularly employed dietitians showed a lower level of job satisfaction than the school nutrition teachers. This was likely because the school nutrition teachers belonged to the strong inner circle of school teachers and cafeteria workers, and had enough time to prepare for class lectures and consultancy. Conversely, the irregularly employed dietitians generally handle extra office work in addition to their primary duties. Despite these differences, both parties agreed that it was necessary to change the work system. Additionally, school dietitians reported that they had little opportunity for further training for career development. (2) Both parties had good communication skills; however, the irregularly employed dietitians had more conflicts with other staff members than the regular employees. (3) Job performance and job importance level was compared among employees involved in school feeding services and nutrition counseling. No significant differences were observed between dietitians and nutrition teachers in either group (p<0.05). However, the school nutrition teachers showed better skills than school dietitian with respect to public relations, running independent counseling offices, and using effective tools and materials. Job performance level was lower when compared to job importance level for all items, which meant the job was not well performed when compared to the work importance awareness.

고학력 기혼여성의 취업여부별 영양소 섭취로 본 식사의 질 평가 (Evaluation of Diet Quality according to Nutrient Intake between Highly Educated, Married, Unemployed and Employed Women)

  • This study was conducted to provide foundation data for making health care policy for married women by assessing the dietary intake between highly educated married, employed and unemployed women. It is a direct interview, cross-sectional study with 24-hour recall method for one day. In selecting the subjects for this study, married, unemployed women were selected from a certain area (Daedeok Science Town) in Daejeon where there are high rates of highly educated women, and the married, employed women were selected from the teaching profession in order to avoid confounding due to including a variety of jobs. According to the Korean Standard Classification of Occupations, teaching is the representational occupation of highly educated, married women. Then, to prevent confounding due to age, we selected the subjects out of each age group at the same rate through random sampling. Women who had not graduated college, worked only part-time, or had no current spouse were excluded. As a result, 486 highly-educated, married, unemployed (250) and employed (236) women were used for analyzing data. The unemployed women consumed a higher amount of fat, cholesterol, sodium, vitamin C and folic acid while the employed women consumed a higher amount of iron, vitamin $B_l$ and vitamin $B_2$. P/M/S ratio being 1/1.18/1.05 and 1/1.05/0.87, for the unemployed women and the employed women, respectively, unemployed respondents had a higher saturated fat intake than those of employed. It is in excess of the standard ratio (1/1/1) of the Korean RDA. At the same time, in unemployed respondents the percent of energy intake from fat (24.8%, 23.2%) and animal fat (12.4%, 11.4%) were higher than those of employed respondents. The mean daily nutrient intake of calcium, zinc, and iron for both groups of respondents were lower than the Korean RDA. Both groups had phosphorus as the highest nutrient and calcium as the lowest nutrient of INQ (Index of Nutritional Quality) while nutrients with the INQ being less than 1 were calcium and iron. To sum up, the following conclusions can be made: Nutrition education and guidance for reduction of the intake of fat, especially animal fat, are necessary for unemployed women. In addition, highly educated, married, unemployed and employed women should increase the consumption of foods rich in iron and calcium to prevent anemia and osteoporosis, while decreasing the intake of phosphorus to balance proportions of calcium and phosphorus.
