  • This study aims to identify the propensity to consume and housing characteristics according to life cycle as the main independent variable. It also tries to understand the consumption power and housing style of each cycle and analyze whether there are differences between each life cycle, ultimately aiming to match the propensity to consume and housing style with each cycle. For empirical analysis, on and off-line surveys of 488 people were collected and analyzed by cross analysis, factor analysis and analysis of variance. The prime research findings are as follows: First of all, factor analysis on propensity to consume showed four main sub-factors as rational consumption, conspicuous consumption, trend consumption, and status consumption. Secondly, current and preferred housing styles ranked from modern, natural, casual, classic and romantic, which proved that people are currently housed in preferred housing styles. Thirdly, in case of housing-related characteristics of life cycles, the size of the house increased as the levels progressed, and then decreased at level 6 when the children grew into adulthood. The majority of the population was paying a monthly rent, a few were leasing, and a very few owned their housing. 58% were living in apartments, but in levels 1-2, more were living in row houses and high-rise residential buildings, while in level 6 it was detached houses. Fourthly, the propensity to consume according to life cycle tended to shift from conspicuous and trend-based consumption to rational consumption as the cycles progressed. Fifthly, the preferred housing styles were modern and natural styles, regardless of life cycle. These study results can be applied to product development and marketing activities based on their accurate analysis of customers' needs, which can thus bring further customer satisfaction.

  • Multiple regression analysis was used for the calculation of pKa values of 15 substituted benzaldoximes by using various types of descriptors as parameters. These descriptors are based on quantum mechanical treatments. They were derived by employing semi-empirical calculation represented by the PM3 model and an Abinitio method expressed by Hartree-Fock(HF) model performed at the 6-311 G(d, p) level of theory. The parameters tested for their ability to represent the variations observed in the experimental pKa(s) are atomic and structural properties including Muliken charges on the atoms of hydroxyl group and C=N bond, the angle $C_6-C_1-C_7$, and length of O-H bond. Molecular properties are also used like energies of HOMO and LUMO, hardness(${\eta}$), chemical potential(${\mu}$), total energy(TE), dipole of molecule(DM), and electrophilicity index(W). The relation between pKa values and each of these parameters of the studied compounds is investigated. Depending on these relations, two sets of parameters were constructed for comparison between the PM3 and HF methods. The results obtained favor the Abinitio method for such applications although both models proved to have high predictive power and have sufficient reliability to describe the effect of substituents on pKa values of benzaldoxime compounds under consideration which is clear from the values of correlation coefficient $R^2$ obtained and the consistency between the experimental and the calculated values.

  • In the life environment changed with not only the material abundance but also the quality, it is the most crucial factor for the strategy of sensibility engineering to investigate vital signal according to the sensibility. In this perspective, it is necessary to design and merchandise the products in cope with each sensibility and needs as well as its functional aspects. In this paper, we proposed the correlation between the visual sensibility and the vital signal using the wearable based electrocardiogram sensing clothes. We measured the electrocardiogram (ECG) signal by wearing the electrocardiogram sensing clothes. The heart rate variability (HRV) is calculated form the acquired ECG signal by wearing the electrocardiogram sensing clothes. And the power spectrum analysis using the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) is evaluated the correlation between the visual sensibility and the vital signal. we plan to conduct empirical applications to verify the adequacy and the validity of the proposed method.

  • The networking between the press and elites, and its impact on journalistic activities in fact have been major subjects of scholarly scrutiny particularly among students of elite theory and class theory. This is an empirical analysis of how the press establishes networks with several powers in local community. This study basically examines a set of independent variables, such as the nature of capital and history of local newspapers and explores how the management and elites in the press utilize several social resources and establish networks. Major findings of this study are as follows: To begin with, the networking between local newspapers and elites showes significant differences according to the nature of capital and history of the newspaper. In other words, while the newspapers operated by stock capital revealed high degree of networking with political and financial elites, the newspapers operated by family capital did not demonstrate significant level of networking with particular elites. The shorter the history of newspaper is, the more she tends to be dependent on resources, and feel it imperative to establish strong networks with elites.

  • Existing researches on movie genre have been focusing on the relationship between a specific genre and performance of a movie. However, most of films cross into multiple genres and new approach is needed for analyzing a genre network. In this study social network analysis was used to analyze the genre centrality and its relationship with movie performance by developing a genre network, i.e. network among multiple genres constructed via genre co-occurrence pattern in a specific movie. Three index of genre centrality, eigenvector centrality, degree centrality, and bonacich power centrality, were tested for the valued genre network. Results showed that the relationship between genre centrality and movie performance appeared to be inverted U-shaped. This empirical finding is in line with the theory of ambidexterity which emphasizes the balance of exploration and exploitation. In addition, this study can provide practical implications for movie producers, distributors, and theaters that need to develop genre strategies.

  • In this paper, we use a nested family of models of Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity(GARCH) to verify asymmetric conditional heteroscedasticity in the KOSPI and Won-Dollar exchange rate. This study starts from an investigation of whether time series data have asymmetric features not explained by standard GARCH models. First, we use kernel density plot to show the non-normality and asymmetry in data as well as to capture asymmetric conditional heteroscedasticity. Later, we use three representative asymmetric heteroscedastic models, EGARCH(Exponential Garch), GJR-GARCH(Glosten, Jagannathan and Runkle), APARCH(Asymmetric Power Arch) that are improved from standard GARCH models to give a better explanation of asymmetry. Thereby we highlight the fact that volatility tends to respond asymmetrically according to positive and/or negative values of past changes referred to as the leverage effect. Furthermore, it is verified that how the direction of asymmetry is different depending on characteristics of time series data. For the KOSPI and Korean won-US dollar exchange rate, asymmetric heteroscedastic model analysis successfully reveal the leverage effect. We obtained predictive values of conditional volatility and its prediction standard errors by using moving block bootstrap.

  • The ability of the searcher to express their information problem to an information retrieval system is fundamental to the retrieval process. Query by visual example is the principal query paradigm for expressing queries in a content-based image retrieval environment yet there is little empirical evidence to support its efficacy in facilitating query formulation. The aim of this research was to investigate the usability of the query by colour method in supporting a range of information problems in order to contribute to the gap in knowledge regarding the relationship between searchers' information problems and the query methods required to support efficient and effective visual query formulation. The results strongly suggest that the query method does not support visual query formulation and that there is a significant mismatch between the searchers information problems and the expressive power of the retrieval paradigm.

  • The cautious blasting works had been used with emulsion explosion electric M/S delay caps. Drill depth was from 3m to 6m with Crawler Drill $\varphi{70mm}$ on the calcalious sand stone(sort-moderate-semi hard Rock). The total numbers of feet blast were 88. Scale distance were induces 15.52-60.32. It was applied to propagation Law in blasting vibration as follows. Propagtion Law in Blasting Vibration $V=K(\frac{D}{W^b})^n$ where V : Peak partical velocity(cm/sec) D : Distance between explosion and recording sites (m) W : Maximum Charge per delay-period of eighit milliseconds or more(Kg) K : Ground transmission constant, empirically determind on th Rocks, Explosive and drilling pattern ets. b : Charge exponents n : Reduced exponents Where the quantity $D/W^b$ is known as the Scale distance. Above equation is worked by the U.S Bureau of Mines to determine peak particle velocity. The propagation Law can be catagrorized in three graups. Cabic root Scaling charge per delay Square root Scaling of charge per delay Site-specific Scaling of charge per delay Charge and reduction exponents carried out by multiple regressional analysis. It's divided into under loom and over loom distance because the frequency is verified by the distance from blast site. Empirical equation of cautious blasting vibration is as follows. Over 30m----under l00m----- $V=41(D/3\sqrt{W})^{-1.41}$ -----A Over l00m-----$V= 121(D/3\sqrt{W})^{-1.66}$-----B K value on the above equation has to be more specified for furthur understang about the effect of explosives, Rock strength. And Drilling pattern on the vibration levels, it is necessary to carry out more tests.
