  • Purpose As the amount of data became enormous, it became a time when more efforts were needed to find the necessary information. Curation is a new term similarly to the museum curator, which is a service that helps people to collect, share, and value the contents of the Internet. In SNS, hash tag is used for emotional vocabulary to be transmitted between users by using (#) tag. Design/methodology/approach As the amount of data became enormous, it became a time when more efforts were needed to find the necessary information. Curation is a new term similarly to the museum curator, which is a service that helps people to collect, share, and value the contents of the Internet. In SNS, hash tag is used for emotional vocabulary to be transmitted between users by using (#) tag. Findings This study base on seven emotional sets such as 'Happy', 'Angry', 'Sad', 'Bad', 'Fearful', 'Surprised', 'Disgusted' to construct 327 emotional seeds and utilize the autofill function of web browser to collect 1.5 million emotional words from emotional seeds. The emotional dictionary of this study is considered to be meaningful as a tool to make emotional judgment from unstructured data.

A Tag-based Music Recommendation Using UniTag Ontology (UniTag 온톨로지를 이용한 태그 기반 음악 추천 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a music recommendation method considering users' tags by collaborative tagging in a social music site. Since collaborative tagging allows a user to add keywords chosen by himself to web resources, it provides users' preference about the web resources concretely. In particular, emotional tags which represent human's emotion contain users' musical preference more directly than factual tags which represent facts such as musical genre and artists. Therefore, to classify the tags into the emotional tags and the factual tags and to assign weighted values to the emotional tags, a tag ontology called UniTag is developed. After preprocessing the tags, the weighted tags are used to create user profiles, and the music recommendation algorithm is executed based on the profiles. To evaluate the proposed method, a conventional playcount-based recommendation, an unweighted tag-based recommendation, and an weighted tag-based recommendation are executed. Our experimental results show that the weighted tag-based recommendation outperforms other two approaches in terms of precision.

  • Recently, there are many researches have been studying for analyzing user interests and emotions based on users profiles and diverse information from Social Network Services (SNSs) due to their popularities. However, most of traditional researches are focusing on their researches based on single resource such as text, image, hash tag, and more, in order to obtain what user emotions are. Hence, this paper propose a method for obtaining user emotional information by analyzing texts and images both from Instagram which is one of the well-known image based SNSs. In order to extract emotional information from given images, we firstly apply GRAB-CUT algorithm to retrieve objects from given images. These retrieved objects will be regenerated by their representative colors, and compared with emotional vocabulary table for extracting which vocabularies are the most appropriate for the given images. Afterward, we will extract emotional vocabularies from text information in the comments for the given images, based on frequencies of adjective words. Finally, we will measure WUP similarities between adjective words and emotional words which extracted from the previous step. We believe that it is possible to obtain more precise user emotional information if we analyzed images and texts both time.

  • In this paper, we present a wireless RFID glove in emotional learning method. The proposed wireless RFID glove consists of three parts: RF wireless module, RFID reader, and RFID tags. Objects tagged with a small passive RFID tag, can be sensed at short ranges by using wireless RFID glove. We describe the wireless RFID glove prototype, and present some interactive learning programs and games. The proposed system can be utilized to analyze user activities and train the brain of old person.

  • This study is the convenience Facebook brand fan page users who seek functional, emotional, divided into three levels of symbolic benefits to the brand benefit was to examine whether structurally affect to brand attachment and brand commitment. Results and emotional benefits are found to affect the brand attachment relative to the functional convenience. In addition, the symbolic benefits were to affect brand attachment compared with the functional convenience. But the emotional benefits and symbolic benefits was shown to affect different brand without attachment, brand attachment points have been identified that affect the antecedents of brand engagement.

  • 감성은 콘텐츠 구매과정에서 결정적인 요소로 작용하며, 영화 콘텐츠의 탐색/소비 과정에서도 콘텐츠 소비의 새로운 기준이다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 콘텐츠의 내용과 감성을 반영하기 위한 감성분류체계를 제안하였다. 제안한 감성분류체계를 기반으로 사용자의 취향과 감성에 기반하여 콘텐츠를 분류/추천하여 개인화된 편성을 제공하는 것을 "감성 큐레이션"이라 정의하고, 이를 위한 감성기반 큐레이션 방법론을 기술하고 실험을 통해 추천 효과를 입증하였다. 큐레이션은 기존의 개인화 추천과 달리 고객 취향뿐만이 아닌, 신선함, 다양성을 제공할 수 있어야 하며, 상용 큐레이션 서비스에서는 실제 시청으로 연결되는 비율이 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 큐레이션 성능 평가를 위해 성향인지도, 신선도, 다양성에 기반한 만족도 설문조사 방법과 함께, 콘텐츠의 전체 시청률 대비 큐레이션을 통해 추천되어 증가된 시청률의 확대 비율인 Lift score 라는 새로운 평가 방법을 제안하여 그 효용성을 증명하였다.

The Roles of Money's Pride and Surprise Tag on the Use of Money

  • The present research examined the interesting but less attended effects of pride- and surprise-tagged money on consumers' spending decisions. Focusing on the unexpected money received in their daily life, we explored recipient's judgments and responses toward pride-tagged money versus surprise-tagged, and identified differences in types of recipient's consumption and spending behaviors between the pride- tagged money and the surprise-tagged money. Consumers tend to use the money associated with pride (vs. surprise) to reward their invested effort; as a result, they were more likely to buy a personal gift. Moreover, in the context of self-gift, consumers with pride-tagged money have showed a bigger positive difference between the intent to buy individual self-expressive products and the intent to buy social self-expressive products than those with surprise-tagged money. And the receipt of pride-tagged money activates motivation to express one's individual self. Consumers who have received a sum of extra money tend to add the money into the current spendable income account and broaden the array of product category. And consumers with high arousal level of surprise triggered by receiving a sum of unpredictable money because of good luck show a smaller difference between the intent to buy individual self-expressive product and the intent to buy social self-expressive product than those with low level arousal in pride. Therefore, marketers should advertise their products in the respects of individual self-expression when their customers have pride-tagged money, and should advertise their products in the respects of social self-identity when they have surprise-tagged money by winning a large sum of unpredicted money like lottery winning.

Analyzing Vocabulary Characteristics of Colloquial Style Corpus and Automatic Construction of Sentiment Lexicon (구어체 말뭉치의 어휘 사용 특징 분석 및 감정 어휘 사전의 자동 구축)

  • In a mobile environment, communication takes place via SMS text messages. Vocabularies used in SMS texts can be expected to use vocabularies of different classes from those used in general Korean literary style sentence. For example, in the case of a typical literary style, the sentence is correctly initiated or terminated and the sentence is well constructed, while SMS text corpus often replaces the component with an omission and a brief representation. To analyze these vocabulary usage characteristics, the existing colloquial style corpus and the literary style corpus are used. The experiment compares and analyzes the vocabulary use characteristics of the colloquial corpus SMS text corpus and the Naver Sentiment Movie Corpus, and the written Korean written corpus. For the comparison and analysis of vocabulary for each corpus, the part of speech tag adjective (VA) was used as a standard, and a distinctive collexeme analysis method was used to measure collostructural strength. As a result, it was confirmed that adjectives related to emotional expression such as'good-','sorry-', and'joy-' were preferred in the SMS text corpus, while adjectives related to evaluation expressions were preferred in the Naver Sentiment Movie Corpus. The word embedding was used to automatically construct a sentiment lexicon based on the extracted adjectives with high collostructural strength, and a total of 343,603 sentiment representations were automatically built.
