All respondents were asked to complete a self-administered questionnaire. Data analysis was performed with descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis using SAS(ver 9.2). Results : The levels of occupational stress and emotional labor in dental counselors were $47.26{\pm}8.36$ and $3.45{\pm}0.47$. Three subscales of emotional labor as frequency of emotional expression, attention of emotional expression norms and disharmony of emotion were related with occupational stress in dental counselors. The level of job stress was increased by the lower level of emotional expression and increased by the higher levels of emotional expression and disharmony of emotion. • The aim of this study is to examine the effects on emotional empathy given by type and degree of adolescent participation in recreational activities, and investigate the associated causal relationships. The following conclusions were obtained: First, analyzing the differences in emotional empathy based on demographic characteristics, the results statistically indicated emotional contagion is a subfactor of emotional empathy. Second, analyzing the differences based on participation type, the results statistically indicated emotional contagion is more influential than positive sharing and emotional intervention, which are sub-factors of emotional empathy. Third, analyzing the differences based on participation degree, the variables influencing participation frequency, participation time, and participation period were positive sharing and emotional contagion, rather than emotional intervention. Fourth, analyzing the causal relationship between participation degree and emotional empathy, the results revealed that participation degree affects positive sharing and emotional contagion, which are sub-factors of emotional empathy.

  • Objective:The present study examined the association between basic neurocognitive functions and emotional recognition in chronic schizophrenia. Furthermore, to Investigate cognitive variable related to emotion recognition in Schizophrenia. Methods:Forty eight patients from the Yongin Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center were evaluated for neurocognitive function, and Emotional Recognition Test which has four subscales finding emotional clue, discriminating emotions, understanding emotional context and emotional capacity. Measures of neurocognitive functioning were selected based on hypothesized relationships to perception of emotion. These measures included:1) Letter Number Sequencing Test, a measure of working memory;2) Word Fluency and Block Design, a measure of executive function;3) Hopkins Verbal Learning Test-Korean version, a measure of verbal memory;4) Digit Span, a measure of immediate memory;5) Span of Apprehension Task, a measure of early visual processing, visual scanning;6) Continuous Performance Test, a measure of sustained attention functioning. Correlation analyses between specific neurocognitive measures and emotional recognition test were made. To examine the degree to which neurocognitive performance predicting emotional recognition, hierarchical regression analyses were also made. Results:Working memory, and verbal memory were closely related with emotional discrimination. Working memory, Span of Apprehension and Digit Span were closely related with contextual recognition. Among cognitive measures, Span of Apprehension, Working memory, Digit Span were most important variables in predicting emotional capacity. Conclusion:These results are relevant considering that emotional information processing depends, in part, on the abilities to scan the context and to use immediate working memory. These results indicated that mul- tifaceted cognitive training program added with Emotional Recognition Task(Cognitive Behavioral Rehabilitation Therapy added with Emotional Management Program) are promising.

  • This study is to examine the relationships between emotional labor, job stress, and job burnout of staff accountants. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, frequency of emotional display has a negative impact on job stress, but emotional dissonance is not associated with job stress statistically. And all types of emotional labor(emotional display, emotional variety, emotional dissonance) have no significant effects on job burnout. Second, all types of emotional labor have no significant impacts on job burnout. Third, full mediation by job stress is proved in the relations between frequency of emotional display and job burnout and between emotional variety and job burnout. But emotional labor doesn't directly impact on job burnout but it influences job burnout via job stress indirectly. These results provide a meaningful framework and theoretical basis for future research on emotional labor, job stress, and job burnout.
