Effects of Hotel Customer's Artistic Experience on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Loyalty (호텔고객의 예술적체험이 고객만족도와 고객충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine how hotel customer's artistic experience affect the customer's satisfaction and customer's loyalty to the hotel brand. A total of 237 effective questionnaires for empirical analyses data were obtained from the hotel customers who had the experiences of appreciating on purpose or accidently the artworks displayed inside hotel. Trough the literature review it was suggested that four factors of artistic experience encompassed educational experience, escapist experience, emotional experience, esthetic experience. To test the proposed hypotheses, exploratory factor analyses and hierarchical regression analyses were conducted. The results showed that all four factors influenced customer's satisfaction and loyalty significantly. And artistic experience was confirmed to be mediated by customer's satisfaction on customer's loyalty. Based on the results, the meaningful implications and limitations were discussed.

  • The attitude of community members plays a key role for sponsorship response. Theory of identification is very important to understand the attitude of community members. Community identification can effect to behavior and attitude to sponsors of community members. This study examines antecedents of community identification and relations between community identification and sponsorship response. I found that sense of community effect to community identification and community loyalty. Satisfaction of need, membership, and emotional ties effect to community identification and community loyalty. But influence effect only to community loyalty. Community identification effect to community loyalty. And community loyalty effect to sponsorship response.

  • Fashion stores have to change to fit such the taste of individual customers taste and try to give unique experiences to the customers. They need to develop a special space that entertains customers, and entices them to visit and revitalize the off-line stores. This paper aims to analyze the experimental factors of stores, and how each of the factors impact customer experience in order to find out its effect on store satisfaction and store loyalty. Data was analyzed by using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. Results of this study are as follows. First, Visual, Tactile, and Gustatory are the main senses that influence the emotional experience of the customers on a store visit. Second, three factors that influenced customer experience in experimental fashion stores are 'Causing Interest', 'Causing Concern', and 'Causing Relationship.' Third, the 'Causing Interest' factor and the 'Causing Concern' factor showed positive correlation with store satisfaction, while the 'Causing Relationship' factor did not impact store satisfaction, which affected store loyalty. Fourth, each experimental fashion stores can have different effect to consumer satisfaction and loyalty. Also, fashion store brands without an experimental store can cause various effects to consumers when a flagship store with an array of product information is formed. The conclusion drawn from this study will provide a guideline for fashion stores attract faithful customers by improving their store environment.

A Study on the Influencing Relationship among Image of the Festival, City Brand Equity, and Regional Loyalty (축제 이미지, 도시브랜드자산, 지역 애호도 간의 영향관계 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the influencing relationship among image of the festival, city brand equity, and regional loyalty. For the study, questionnaires were handed out to the visitors of 2015 Andong International Maskdance Festival and a total of 289 copies were collected carrying out frequency analysis, factor analysis, multiple regression analysis, descriptive statistic analysis, correlation analysis, and structure equation model analysis. The result showed that image of the festival had influence on city brand equity and city brand equity had influence on regional loyalty. However, image of the festival did not have direct influence on regional loyalty. This research is expected to further extend the study of image of the festival and city brand equity, and the study of Andong International Maskdance Festival

  • The Purpose of this study was to investigate of university students' perceived Service Qualities on the internet fashion and apparel shopping malls. This survey was carried out with real customers. Data were obtained from 197 internet fashion shopping mall consumer(university students) who have bought fashion products. Questionnaires related to service quality, perceived service value and loyalty. This study was investigated with focused on customer of university students itself. To find relationships among variables, exploratory factor analysis and multiple regression was carried out with collected data. The resulted were as follows: 1. The service quality dimension of fashion internet shopping malls were external quality of web, reliability quality and emotional quality. 2. The all of service quality dimensions of internet fashion and apparel shopping malls had an effect on university students perceived value and loyalty.

Determinants of BAOMAI of Chinese Customer in Duty-Free Shop: Analytical Framework and Empirical Analysis (중국관광객의 면세점 바오마이 결정요인에 대한 실증연구)

  • This paper examines that determinants of BAOMAI, (i.e., behavior of Chinese tourist bulk purchase in duty free shop) with analytical framework and empirical tests. The results of applying the structural equation modeling to 196 samples suggest that Chinese tourist consumption orientations (conspicuous/compulsive/unplanned consumption) have a positive effect on BAOMAI decision value chain (perceived value and loyalty). The marketing mix of duty free shop as control variables in research framework also have a positive effect on BAOMAI perceived values (functional/social/emotional value). This paper has a contribution to prior literatures: the first empirical analysis on BAOMAI determinants with exploring scholarly definition.

  • The purposes of this study were to provide evidence concerning the effects of Emotional Leadership and examine the impacts of Emotional Leadership on employee-related variables which were 'job satisfaction', 'organizational commitment', 'organizational performance', 'turnover intention'. A survey was conducted from August 23 to November 3, 2005 to collect data from kitchen staff(N=611). Statistical analyses were completed using SPSS Win(12.0) for descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, t-test, correlation analysis, cluster analysis and AMOS(5.0) for structural equation modeling. Kitchen staffs gave high point to their leader in the Emotional Leadership competence 'Optimism: seeing the upside in events' and 'Adaptability: flexibility in handing change' and gave lower point in the Emotional Leadership competence 'Inspirational leadership: guiding and motivating with compelling vision'. Employees' job satisfaction on 'coworker' were relatively high. However, the extents of satisfaction on 'payroll', 'promotion', 'work environment' were relatively low. The organizational commitment score was higher at 'loyalty' factor than 'commitment' factor. the test of hypothesis using structural equation modeling found that Emotional Leadership produced positive effects on job attitude and job performance. In conclusion, this study has identified that the Emotional Leadership effects on their organizational performance and attitudes toward their job.

Effects of Marketing Strategy on Brand attitude, Store affect, and Store loyalty: A comparison between Global and Korean SPA brands (마케팅 전략이 브랜드 태도, 점포감정, 점포충성도에 미치는 효과: 글로벌 SPA 대 한국형 SPA 비교)

  • This study was to identify underlying dimension of marketing strategy, and to examine effect of the marketing strategic factors on store affect, brand attitude, and brand loyalty in global and domestic SPA brands. Based on pilot study, four SPA brands of which consumers were most aware were selected: Korean SPAs (e.g., Codes-Combine, Basic House) and global brands (e.g., Zara and Uniqlo). A self-administered questionnaire was developed based on literatures. By using intercept survey, 421 respondents were obtained from consumers shopping at the selected SPA retail stores located in cities (Seoul, Daejon, Chongju) in Korea. Result showed that SPA brand marketing strategy consisted of four factors: Product differentiation, store location, in-store VMD, and price value. The marketing strategic factors had partially significant effects on brand attitude, store affect and store loyalty. However, there was significant differences in those effects between global and Korean SPA brands. Specifically, the effect of in-store VMD on brand attitude was higher in Korean SPA brands, whereas the effect of price value was higher in global SPA brand. Also, the price value was significant predictor of store affects in global SPAs, while in-store VMD was significant predictor of store loyalty in Korean SPA brands. This study discussed a managerial implication for creating brand attitude and emotional responses, which obtains comparative advantages in the competing marketplace.

The Influence of Loyalty Program on the Effect of Customer Retention: Focused on Education Service Industry (고객보상 프로그램이 고객 유지에 미치는 효과: 교육 서비스 산업을 중심으로)

  • This study probes the effect of loyalty program on the customer retention based on the real transaction data(n=2,892) acquired from education service industry. We try to figure out the outcomes of reward program through more than 1 year-long data gathered and analyzed according to quasi-experimental design(i.e., before and after design). We adopt this kinds of research scheme in regard that previous studies measured the effect of loyalty program by dividing the customers into two group(i.e., members vs. non-members) after the firms or stores had started the program. We believe that it might not avoid the self-selection bias. The research questions of this study could be explained such as: First, most research said that the loyalty programs could increase the customer loyalty and contribute to the sustainable growth of company. But there are little confirmation that this promotional tool could be justified in terms of financial perspective. Thus, we are interested in both the retention rate and financial outcomes caused by the introduction of loyalty programs. Second, reward programs target mainly current customer. Especially CRM(customer relationship management) said that it is more profitable for company to build positive relationship with current customer instead of pursuing new customer. And it claims that reward program is excellent means to achieve this goal. For this purpose, we check in this study whether there is a interaction effect between loyalty program and customer type in retaining customer. Third, it is said that dis-satisfied customers are more likely to leave the company than satisfied customers. While, Bolton, Kannan and Bramlett(2000) claimed that reward program could contribute to minimize the effect of negative service by building emotional link with customer, it is not empirically confirmed. This point of view explained that the loyalty programs might work as exit barrier to current customer. Thus, this study tries to identify whether there is a interaction effect between loyalty program and service experience in keeping customer. To achieve this purpose, this study adopt both Kaplan-Meier survival analysis and Cox proportional hazard model. The research outcomes show that the average retention period is 179 days before introducing loyalty program but it is increased to 227 days after reward is given to the customers. Since this difference is statistically significant, it could be said that H1 is supported. In addition, the contribution margin coming from increased transaction period is bigger than the cost for administering loyalty programs. To address other research questions, we probe the interaction effect between loyalty program and other factors(i.e., customer type and service experience) affecting it. The analysis of Cox proportional hazard model said that the current customer is more likely to engage in building relationship with company compared to new customer. In addition, retention rate of satisfied customer is significantly increased in relation to dis-satisfied customer. Interestingly, the transaction period of dis-satisfied customer is notably increased after introducing loyalty programs. Thus, it could be said that H2, H3, and H4 are also supported. In summary, we found that the loyalty programs have values as a promotional tool in forming positive relationship with customer and building exit barrier.

Negative Relationship Intentions on the Web

  • This study aims at discovering the reasons why some customers do not want a relationship. In line with this observation, this paper explores customers' future relationship intentions according to the reasons identified. Based upon a qualitative methodology by way of in depth interviews, we have identified seven factors (e.g., passive loyalty, negative experience, relevance, negative indifference, positive indifference, and emotional value) that lead a consumer not wanting to maintain an ongoing relationship with a company. In Study 2, the author attempts to reveal the effects of each factor over time. The findings show that psychological motivations are useful in improving CRM performance.
