LED, the next-generation light source, rapidly develops and has advantages of low power, high efficiency, and long life. Accordingly, an interest in lightings by using LED rises. If emotional lighting is implemented by using LED, all colors can be represented by using 3 primary colors of light, differently from the conventional single-color lighting. LED emotional lightings which can control human emotions continue to be developed thanks to these advantages. This study was conducted to design an algorithm for expressing LED emotional lighting in line with the situation and temperature by extracting colors for concentration and resting situations in indoor environment and mixing them with colors of the temperature felt by user. The LED emotional lighting designed with a neuro-fuzzy system was found to have effects on user's emotions during concentration and resting.

This study conducted basic research on an LED lighting design to improve the learning effect from brain wave analysis. The ideal environments of mathematics, language, and creative region can be different. Inside the space where the lighting environment can be experienced directly, the test subject consisted of common elements. Other lighting was blocked completely in controlled lighting conditions. The brain waves were analyzed according to the change in color temperature and illumination. The analyzer used was fabricated by EMOTIV Company. In the variable RGB LED light, the color of the light was measured, and the brain wave of each subject was determined. LED lights have variable color temperature (3000 [K], 4500 [K]. 250 [lux], 70% -350 [lux], 100% -500 [lux]). As research results, the highest concentration in a mathematics study was in the general condition of a high color temperature, in which the optimal condition was a 6000[K] color temperature and 350[lux] illumination. The optimal condition for a language study was a 4500[K] color temperature and 500[lux] illumination, and that of the creative study was 3000[K] color temperature and 500[lux] illumination. Overall, the possibility of emotional ability and concentrated learning efficiency can be improved by the LED lighting design with the color temperature and illumination.
It is necessary to conduct a basic research on fusion of ighting design or lighting environment to improve the health and quality of life of elderly people. The purpose of this study is to analyze the lighting situation of elderly people 's residential facilities in terms of space environment design plan and to analyze the trends in smart home, design and technology. It is to provide basic data for the prototype of lighting fixtures for elderly people living facilities considering functional, physiological and emotional characteristics. For the study, the target sites were selected and the results of the illumination survey of the target facilities were divided into two types of spaces, residential and other public spaces, and their location, lighting fixtures' type, color temperature, illuminance. The results of the survey showed that the overall physical illumination compared to the recommended illuminance for the elderly satisfied the recommended range and provided the appropriate brightness for the elderly. However, in the application layout of the lighting fixtures, a monotonous arrangement and a lighting fixtures type consisting entirely of simple square type fixtures and downlight types were applied. It would be desirable to use different types of lighting fixtures in the design for various functions, such as making the environment more comfortable. Future research will propose a prototype for the design direction of the subdivided lighting fixtures that classify the space according to functions and understand the vision problem of the elderly while aesthetically.

The progression of curing of dementia is associated with a gradual decline in functional, cognitive, emotional and social abilities. Patients with dementia currently cause many social problems, which will become more serious in the near future. It is considered that patients with dementia are so much influenced by the quality of physical ward environment ; so we need to improve environment of dementia ward dept. Factors of physical environment which effect patients with dement1a can be classifided both into 'Interier design' ; material, color, lighting, equipment and auxiliary design and into 'Sense of sight & hearing' ; illumination, ornament & indication, noise, and fancy.
This paper presents an LED lighting which can control its color temperature. It consists of a power factor correction (PFC) circuit, an LED driver, and an LED color control circuit. The proposed system can adjusts the light intensity to obtain a desired color with independently changeable illuminance. The power factor of the PFC circuit is 98%. The LED driver has 90% efficiency at 300mA output current. The output power of the experimented LED lighting is 150 W. The achieved color temperature range was from 3000K to 7500K, and the illumination one was from 500 lux to 1500 lux.

The human centric lighting (HCL) control is a major focus point of the smart lighting system design to provide energy efficient and people mood rhythmic motivation lighting in smart buildings. This paper proposes the HCL control using indoor surveillance camera to improve the human motivation and well-beings in the indoor environments like residential and industrial buildings. In this proposed approach, the indoor surveillance camera video streams are used to predict the day lights and occupancy, occupancy specific emotional features predictions using the advanced computer vision techniques, and this human centric features are transmitted to the smart building light management system. The smart building light management system connected with internet of things (IoT) featured lighting devices and controls the light illumination of the objective human specific lighting devices. The proposed concept experimental model implemented using RGB LED lighting devices connected with IoT features open-source controller in the network along with networked video surveillance solution. The experiment results are verified with custom made automatic lighting control demon application integrated with OpenCV framework based computer vision methods to predict the human centric features and based on the estimated features the lighting illumination level and colors are controlled automatically. The experiment results received from the demon system are analyzed and used for the real-time development of a lighting system control strategy.

This study was conducted to investigte the visual preference and response between introduced and native trees for utilization of the south native trees in interior space. 1. The intensity of illumination was below 500lux at 24 buildings of interior spaces surveyed. Generally the temperature was 24~$26^{\circ}C$, and humidity was 60~70%. 2. Total number of introduced tree species were 9 familiar, 16 genus, 18 species, especially palm genus were the largest tree among them at these surveyed interior spaces, but native trees were only 2 species. The introduced tree of 2 to 3m in height was 46 percent, and the case of 1.2 to 2m was 42 percent. 3. The mean of visual preference was the highest at Rhapis excelsa and howeia belmoreana, and followed with Neolitsea sericea, Daphniphllum macropodum, Listsea japonicum. In the mean of visual preference for selected tree groups, native tree was not different as compared with introduced tree. 4. Visual image factor of the native and introduced trees at interior spaces was classified by individual factor and emotional factor. These 2 factors were shown 66.5% total variance. The native tree was strongly recognized on individual factor, as , and introduced tree was also strongly recognized on emotional factor. 5. In the analysis of visual preference and image, a difference between the selected groups of the introduced and native trees were not shown significant, and the introduced trees were similar to the native trees on the visual image. This result was as follow There was an analogy between Cinnamomum camphora, Ligustrum japonicum and Ficus retusa, Ficus benjamina. There is an analogy between Castanopsis cuspidata var. sieboldii, Cinnamomum japonicum and Ficus retusa, Ficus benjamina. There was an analogy between Elaeocarpus sylvestris var. ellipticus, Fatsia japonica and Rhapis excelsa, Howeia belmoreana. There was an analogy between Neolitsea sericea, Daphniphyllum macropo여, Listsea japonica and Rhapis excelsa, Howeia belmoreana. Due to the development of technology, the modern people became to require not only more convenient life but also more comfortable and emotional environment, and individually suitable living environment is applied to residents in a residential space. Recently, while the LED lighting was variously attempted in every sector in society, it is needed to express differentiated lighting according to the resident's individual lifestyle in a residential space. In this paper, we analyze the role of LED lighting suitable for the digitalized lifestyle of the modern people through the relevant literature survey and case studies. The following results are obtained in summary of the rapidly changed recent trends of LED lighting. First, LED light replace existing light sources due to the advanced new technology in LED industry, and take the spotlight as a new lighting solution with the development of variable color LED bulb and the control technology by the wired and wireless communications. Second, LED lighting can be structurally applicable to every lighting device because of its compact and lightweight units, can produce abundant light environment by expression of variable colors and moods with the easy coloring and dimming control, can be reborn as emotional lighting design. Third, as recently practices are constantly appeared that integrate LED lights in the interior elements, such as object and furniture, and combine advanced LED lighting technology to new materials, the portion of illumination on the indoor environment is further increased after integrating the LED lighting and interior elements make boundaries of lighting and product architecture become blurred. LED lighting is confirmed that is being changed from the external functionality including material, shape, color, and etc. into the contextual emotion design including the lights expression, variable color, brightness control, making image, and etc. as the light source in current smart lighting era.

In this paper, we present a facial expression recognition-synthesis system that recognizes 7 basic emotion information automatically and renders face with non-photorelistic style in PDA For the recognition of the facial expressions, first we need to detect the face area within the image acquired from the camera. Then, a normalization procedure is applied to it for geometrical and illumination corrections. To classify a facial expression, we have found that when Gabor wavelets is combined with enhanced Fisher model the best result comes out. In our case, the out put is the 7 emotional weighting. Such weighting information transmitted to the PDA via a mobile network, is used for non-photorealistic facial expression animation. To render a 3-D avatar which has unique facial character, we adopted the cartoon-like shading method. We found that facial expression animation using emotional curves is more effective in expressing the timing of an expression comparing to the linear interpolation method.
