  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore Korean mothers' experiences of caregiving for their adult children with schizophrenia. Method: A iterative descriptive qualitative research design was used to understand and explain the caregiving experience from the perspective of mothers. The data were collected by individual in-depth interviews and one focus group interview from 11 mothers. The ages of the participants ranged from 50 to 60 years old and the ages of their sick children ranged from late 20s to early 40s, Results: Three major themes were identified from qualitative thematic analysis: (a) 'emotional debris from the disease,' (b) 'the disease that makes mothers dumb' (c) 'space of rational reason,' Conclusions: This study would provide health care professionals insights in establishing intervention for mothers by deeply understanding the process of recognition and acceptance of their children with schizophrenia.

  • In this paper, an contemplate the direction for Usable Security in IT security and User Experience. To evaluate how the user interface is convenient to use, we examine the components such as the property, learnable property, memory simplicity, faults and satisfaction level. By considering for the security, we should bring positive effects on the user experience. By emphasizing usability and security at the same time, we should increase the satisfaction level of the user experience and then produce the valuable experience through participation, use and observation. The positive user experience is the important task for the software engineering, business administration and others., and this will result satisfaction of the users, brand trust, and success in the market. On the other hand, for the negative user experience, the users cannot achieve their desired goal and therefore, are unsatisfied due to emotional, rational and economic inconvenience. Due to this, we should try to maintain a certain level of usability and security of the system in IT security and User Experience.

  • This paper is aimed at proposing a new framework to predict decision performance, by Investigating decision maker's cognitive resonance. We assume that every decision maker has two kinds of schemaemotional schema and rational schema. Cognitive resonance is believed to have a close relationship with the two schemata and decision performance. In literature on decision performance there is no study' seeking relationship among the two schemata ana cognitive resonance. Therefore, our research purposes are twofold: (1) to provide a theoretical basis for the proposed framework describing the causal relationships among two schemata, cognitive resonance, and decision Performance, and (2) to empirically prove its validity applying to. Internet shopping Situation. Based on the questionnaires from 13S- respondents, we used a second order confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) to extract valid constructs, and structural equation model (SEM) to calculate path coefficients and prove the statistical validity of our proposed research model. Experimental results supported our research model with some further research issues.

  • Purpose - This paper aims to study the main selection criteria for Islamic banks in Indonesia, and to compare them with those for conventional banks. Research Design, Data, and Methodology - This study employs an exploratory approach and a natural experimental design with Factor Analysis and two independent sample tests as statistical analysis methods. A total of 363 questionnaires were distributed to three groups of bank customers-customers of Islamic and conventional banks individually, and those of both banks together (121 respondents in each group). Results - The research shows that service appears to be the most important factor in selecting Islamic banks, in addition to other emotional and rational factors. However, this service cannot be expressed as the Islamic banks' advantage compared to conventional banks, because the latter's customers also perceived service as the most important factor. The parametric mean of importance of service for both Islamic and conventional banks' customers is insignificantly different. Conclusion - Customers of both conventional and Islamic banks have a similar degree of importance for convenience, price, and service.

Another purpose is to improve their qualities of life and to provide basic data to develop their potentials. The results are as follows: First, it shows that socio-demographic characteristics have a significant influence on midaged women's crisis. Those variables include religion, jobs, family-life cycle, income, marriage duration, age, and supporting parents. Second, the variables significantly influencing the coping behavior with the crisis include age, income, religion, marriage patterns, region, marriage duration, family-life cycle, and supporting parents. Third, as a result of this research, their negative expression of action or emotion was higher as they were getting old. The general tendency was that an emotional crisis level was low when rational coping behaviors were high. Therefore, self-esteem or social activity improvement programs should be developed for midaged women.

  • This study hypothesizes that the imageability of a particular environments is decided by the unity of each visual sequences. We selected Ch'angdok Palace as our subject due to its greater applicability for image construction among various Korean architectures and their street furnitures. we apply the analytical methods of formal aesthetics and symbolic aesthetics to Ch'angdok Palace's space compositional characteristics, we can find distinctive features. The conclusions are that Ch'angdok Palace contains high probability of imageability through the contrast and harmony of two themes, reality and the ideal, and the rational and the emotional.

  • Malicious rumors often emerge online. However, few studies have examined why people spread online rumors. Recognizing that spreading online rumors is not only rational, but also emotional, this paper provides insights into the behavior of online rumor spreading using the cognitive emotion theory. The results show that perceived credibility of online rumors enhances both positive and negative emotions. However, positive emotions affect neither attitude nor behavior, whereas negative emotions affect both aspects of the spreading of online rumors. The results also indicate that prior positive attitude toward object influences negative emotions. Issues involvement moderates the relationship between attitude and behavior.

  • As there is impulsive buying that is pervasive phenomenon in the clothing consumption area, many academics and practitioners have been interested in it. Although prior studies have provided useful insights for understanding and predicting consumers' impulsive behavior, the findings do not clearly explain why different consumers influence impulsive behavior differently even when presented with the same shopping environment. Regulatory focus theory (Higgins, 1987, 1997, 2001) provides an insight for better understanding of consumers' impulsive responses to the elements of shopping experience. Thus, the purpose of our research was to understand the effect of consumers' regulatory focus (i.e., promotion focused vs. prevention focused) on their shopping experiences and impulsive behavior. A total of 157 data collected from female consumers lived in Ulsan and Pusan was used for this study. The results were as follows: First, sensitive experience and emotional experience have significantly positive effects on impulsive buying, but rational experience does significantly negatively effects on it. Second, to test the moderating effects of consumers' regulatory focus, responses were divided into two groups including promotion-focused group (n = 91) and prevention-focused group (n = 66) based on the relative strength of one type of their regulatory focus, which was introduced by Higgins (2001). Multiple regression analysis (independent variables: shopping experience, dependant variable: impulsive buying) was run within each group. The results showed that for the promotion-focused group, sensitive and emotional experience have significantly positive effects on impulsive buying. For prevention focused group, sensitive experience has significantly positive effects on impulsive buying and rational experience does significantly negatively effects on it. Chow's and Fisher's z-test were confirmed that the relationship between shopping experience and impulsive buying behavior was significantly different depending on consumers' regulatory focus.
