Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine the mediator or moderator effect of clinical nurses' emotional intelligence on the relationship between the emotional labor and psychological well-being. Methods: Data was collected from 240 nurses in tertiary hospitals located in B city using structured questionnaires. Data was analyzed with descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient and hierarchical multiple regression using the SPSS program. Results: Clinical nurses' emotional intelligence had a significant correlation with emotional labor (r=-.13, p=.039) and psychological well-being (r=.52, p<.001). Also, clinical nurses' emotional intelligence showed mediating effects between the emotional labor and psychological well-being. However, emotional intelligence did not show moderating effects. Conclusion: The results of this study show that the clinical nurses' emotional intelligence has an important influence on nurses' emotional labor and psychological well-being. This finding points to the importance of emotional intelligence to increase psychological well-being and suggests that the hospital should develop education and training programs to enhance nurses' emotional intelligence and promote clinical nurses' psychological well-being.

The girls showed higher emotional expression, emotional empathy, emotional control, and the friend-related stress than boys. The boys showed higher parent-related stress than girls. (2) There were significant negative correlations between child's emotional intelligence and stress. The children who got higher emotion intelligence perceived lower stress. (3) Among five dimensions of emotional intelligence for boy, the effective variable was emotional utilization. And among six dimensions of stress, the effective variables were home-environment stress and school-related stress. Among fine dimensions of emotional intelligence for girl, the effective variables were emotional expression and emotional recognition. And among six dimensions of stress, the effective variables were friend-related stress and parent-related stress.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the emotional ability between abused children and general children by comparing their emotional intelligence and emotional control. Participants were 17 abused children who had been separated from their abusers and 17 general children, all elementary school students. The answers to the questionnaire items on emotional intelligence and situations of emotional motivation were analyzed by Mann-Whitney U as a study tool. The results of this study were as follows: First, the difference of emotional intelligence between abused children and general children was statistically significant. Abused children received lower scores than general children when it came to their emotional recognition, emotional expression, empathy, and emotional regulation as a subordinate scope of emotional intelligence. Second, the difference of emotional regulation strategy between abused children and general children was statistically significant. Abused children presented negative responses and less frequently used positive strategy, inhibitory avoidance strategy and alternative strategy than general children. Third, the difference of emotional regulation motivation between abused children and general children was statistically significant. Abused children presented less prosocial motivation, motivation of self-preservation and normative motivation than general children.

Objective: Meditation can elicit trait-like changes in psychological and social styles, as well as enhancement of emotional regulatory capacity. We investigated the relation between personality traits and emotional intelligence in meditation practitioners. Methods: Seventy-two long-term practitioners of mind-body training (MBT) and 62 healthy comparative individuals participated in the study. The participants completed emotional intelligence questionnaires and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). Results: The MBT group revealed higher scores on all five emotional intelligence factors than did those in the control group, such as emotional awareness and expression, empathy, emotional thinking, emotional application, and emotional regulation (all $p{\leq}0.001$). MBT practitioners also had higher scores on the intuition of perceiving function (t=-2.635, p=0.010) and on the feeling of the judging function (t=-3.340, p=0.001) of the MBTI compared with those in the control group. Only the MBT group showed a robust relationship with every factor of emotional intelligence and MBTI-defined intuitive styles, indicating that higher scores of emotional intelligence were related to higher scores for intuition. Conclusion: Emotional intelligence of meditation practitioners showed notable relationships with some features of personality trait. In-depth associations between emotional intelligence and personality traits would help to foster psychological functions in meditation practitioners.
This study discusses salespersons' emotional intelligence, one of the key abilities necessary to meet customers' needs effectively, and express positive emotions in frequent interactions with customer. Emotional intelligence refers to self-controllability and social ability emphasizing pro-social aspect and understanding of others. This study investigates how salespersons' emotional intelligence affects adaptive selling and positive emotional expression during the process of interaction with customers, and how such adaptive selling and positive emotional expression affects the quality of service perceived by customers. The results show that greater salespersons' emotional intelligence results in better adaptive selling and positive emotional expression. Such adaptive selling and positive emotional expression had significant effects on the quality of service perceived by customers. These results are important in that they address emotional intelligence as salespersons' emotional ability, which has been overlooked as an antecedent variable for improving adaptive selling and display of positive emotion, consequently provide another factor to help salespersons improve their selling behavior.
This study investigated emotional regulation, motive for emotional regulation and behavior problems of children. 64 boys and 58 girls in fourth grade and their mothers were selected for the subject. The children were interviewed about eight interpersonal conflict situations, while their mothers completed the CBCL(Child Behavior Check List). Major findings were as follows: emotional regulation, motive for emotional regulation and behavior problems differed according to the children's gender. Girls used more appropriate display rules for managing negative emotions, and more often, prosocial motives than boys. While girls displayed greater immature behavior, boys displayed more hyperactive and aggressive behavior. Negative emotional regulation was the most predictable variable for boy's behavior problems. Positive emotional regulation and prosocial motives were significant variables predicting girl's behavior problems. These findings implicate that emotional regulation and motive for emotional regulation are important factors in preventing behavior problems of school-age children.
A new research paradigm is emerging within organizational behavior, in both theory and empiricism, based on the increasing recognition of the importance of emotions to organizational life. To complete the research the data were collected through a questionnaire from 147 employees from service company. After multi-hierarchical regression analysis, the outcomes of this study are the employee's emotional exhaustion are affected negatively by the three factors: major aspects of emotion labor, regulation of emotion in oneself, use of emotion to facilitate performance, make the moderation effect between emotion labor and emotional intelligence. These results indicate that instilling in others an appreciation of the importance of work activities: encouraging of true expression individual emotions, generating and maintaining well emotional climate and cooperation situations, and managing a meaningful environment for an organizational life.
