23개 공생별의 분광학적 특성 (THE SPECTROSCOPIC CHARATERISTICS OF 23 SYMBIOTICS)

  • Symbiotic stars are known as binary systems with both cool and hot components with enshrounding nebulous gas. The cool component, M-type giant, is presumably loosing its mass into a hot white or main sequence companion star through the inner Lagrangian point. The lines emit from the ionized nebulous region around the hot star while the mass loss or accretion activity is believed to be the main cause of sudden variation of the continuum and line fluxes. We selected 17 symbiotics for which the emission line fluxes were measured from the IUE SWP, LWR data, to find variability of spectrum. We also investigated the periodic variation of emissions or eclipsing effect from the IUE lines. All of our symbiotics show very high electron densities in the emission regions. For other optical symbiotics, the observations had been carried in 1999 with BOAO mid-resolution spectrometer. We classified symbiotics based on their outburst activities, or emission line characteristics, i.e., $OVI{\lambda}6830.\;The\;OVI{\lambda}6830$ emission lines are also found in S-type symbiotics, which have been known as charateristics of D-types.

스파크 플러그 케이블에서 복사되는 불요 전자파 감소 방안에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Reducing Method of Spurious Emission at the Spark Plug Cable)

  • 정상적인 불꽃 점화 시스템과 관통형 세라믹 콘덴서를 부가한 불꽃 점화 시스템에서 복사되는 전자파의 전력 스펙트럼의 측정 데이터를 분석한 결과 관통형 세라믹 콘덴서를 부가한 불꽃 점화 시스템에서 복사되는 전자파는 정상적인 불꽃 점화 시스템에서 복사되는 전자파 보다 약하고, 스펙트럼 밀도 또한 소하였다. 이것은 불꽃 점화 시스템에서 복사되는 불요 전자파를 관통형 세라믹 콘덴서가 감소시키는 것이라고 할 수 있으며, 고압의 펄스를 발생하는 점화 코일은 고주파를 발생하는 무선 주파 발진기라고 할 수 있다.

스핀코팅 및 저온열처리에 의한 자외선 발광특성을 갖는 산화아연 박막의 제조 (Preparation of ZnO Thin Films with UV Emission by Spin Coating and Low-temperature Heat-treatment)

  • 목적: 본 논문은 저온열처리로 비결정 또는 결정 ZnO 박막의 UV emission 가능하다는 것이다. 방법: 화학적 용액법을 이용하여 소다-라임-실리카 유리 위에 100, 150, 200, 250 및 $300^{\circ}C$로 열처리하여 비정질 및 나노 결정질 ZnO 박막을 제조하였으며, 박막의 성장 특성 및 광학적 특성을 X-선 회절 분석법, 자외선-가시광선-근적외선 분광법 및 발광분석법을 통하여 분석하였다. 결과: $100^{\circ}C{\sim}200^{\circ}C$에서 60분간 열처리된 박막은 비정질 특성을 나타내고 있었으며, $250^{\circ}C$$300^{\circ}C$로 열처리된 박막에서는 ZnO 결정상이 나타났다. 비정질 ZnO 박막의 PL분석에 의하면 매우 강한 Near-band-edge emission이 나타났으며, Green emission은 거의 검출되지 않았다. 결론: 앞으로는 저온에서 ZnO 광전자소자를 쉽게 제조할 수 있을 것이다.

Synthesis of rhombohedral-structured zinc germanate thin films and characteristics of divalent manganese-activated electroluminescence

  • In this study, zinc germanate ($Zn_2GeO_4$) thin films has been synthesized by using radio frequency magnetron sputtering and the divalent manganese-activated luminescence was characterized. X-ray diffraction patterns of the as-deposited $Zn_2GeO_4$:Mn films showed only a broad feature, indicative of an amorphous structure. Scanning electron microscopy images revealed that the as-deposited $Zn_2GeO_4$:Mn has a smooth surface morphology. The $Zn_2GeO_4$:Mn films were found to be crystallized by annealing in air ambient at temperatures as low as $700^{\circ}C$. The annealed $Zn_2GeO_4$:Mn possessed a rhombohedral polycrystalline structure. The broad-band photoluminescent emission spectrum from 470 to 650nm was obtained at room temperature from the $Zn_2GeO_4$:Mn films. The emission peak was centered at around 535nm in the green range, which originates from the intrashell transition of manganese $3d^5$ electrons from $^4T_1$ excited-state level to the $^6A_1$ ground state. The PL emission spectrum had an asymmetric line shape, which results from the $^3d_5$ electron transitions of divalent manganese ions located at different sites of the zinc germanate host crystal lattice. Electroluminescent devices were fabricated using $Zn_2GeO_4$:Mn as an emission layer. The fabricated devices showed a green EL emission similar to the PL emission. The CIE chromaticity color coordinates of the EL emission were determined to be x=0.308 and y=0.657.

절삭공구의 채터진동과 음향방출과의 실험적 연구 (Experimental Analysis of Chatter Vibration and Acoustic Emission of Cutting Tool)

  • 본 연구에서는 절삭공구가 채터진동을 일으킬때 AE(Acoustic Emission) 신호와 어떤관계가 있는지를 실험적으로 연구하였다. 모달분석을 통하여 절삭공구의 고유진동수 및 모우드형상을 구하였으며, 실제 절삭실험에서는 이송방향 및 절삭방향의 가속도를 계측하여 위상치를 결정하었다. AE신호와 두 가속도 와의 관계를 알기위하여 AE 실험을 하였다. AE신호의 폭발점은 대개 Lissajous loop의 방향전환점에서 관찰 되었다.

  • The object of the present work is the analysis of head/disk interaction during start/stop and constant speed operation using acoustic emission (AE). The frequency spectrum analysis is performed using the AE signal obtained during the head/disk interaction. The FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) analysis of the AE signals is used to understand the interaction between the AE signal and the state of contact.

Characterization of the ZnSe/ZnS Core Shell Quantum Dots Synthesized at Various Temperature Conditions and the Water Soluble ZnSe/ZnS Quantum Dot

  • ZnSe/ZnS, UV-blue luminescent core shell quantum dots, were synthesized via a thermal decomposition reaction of organometallic zinc and solvent coordinated Selenium (TOPSe) in a hot solvent mixture. The synthetic conditions of the core (ZnSe) and the shell (ZnS) were independently studied at various reaction temperature conditions. The obtained colloidal nanocrystals at corresponding temperatures were characterized for their optical properties by UV-vis, room temperature solution photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy, and further obtained powders were characterized by XRD, TEM, and EDXS analyses. The synthetic temperature condition to obtain the best PL emission intensity for the ZnSe core was 300 ${^{\circ}C}$, and for the optimum shell capping, the temperature was 135 ${^{\circ}C}$. At this temperature, solution PL spectrum showed a narrow emission peak at 427 nm with a PL efficiency of 15%. In addition, the measured particle sizes for the ZnSe/ZnS nanocomposite via TEM were in the range of 5 to 12 nm. Furthermore, we have synthesized water-soluble ZnSe/ZnS nanoparticles by capping the ZnSe/ZnS hydrophobic surface with mercaptoacetate (MAA) molecules. For the obtained aqueous colloidal solution, the UV-vis spectrum showed an absorption peak at 250 nm, and the solution PL emission spectrum showed a peak at 425 nm, which is similar to that for hydrophobic quantum dot ZnSe/ZnS. However, the calculated PL efficiency was relatively low (0.1%) due to the luminescence quenching by water and MAA molecules. The capping ligand was also characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy, with the carbonyl stretching peak in the mercaptoacetate molecule appearing at 1575 $cm ^{-1}$. Finally, the particle sizes of the MAA capped ZnSe/ZnS were measured by TEM, showing a range of 12 to 17 nm.

Exciplex를 이용한 백색 유기 전계발광소자의 발광특성 (Emission Properties of White Light Emission Organic Electroluminescent Device using Exciplex Emission)

  • We report the white light emission from the multilayer organic electroluminescent(EL) device using exciplex emission. The exciplex at 500nm originated between poly(N-vinylcarvazole)(PVK) and 2,5-bis(5'-tert-butyl-2-benzoxazoly)thiophene(BBOT) and exciplex of 50nm originated from N,N'-diphenyl-N,N'-(3-methyphenyl)-1,1'-biphenyl-4,4'-diamine(TPD) and BBOT were observed. Also, the energy transfer from PVK to BBOT and poly(3-hexylthiophene)(P3HT) in mixed emitting materials was occurred. The electroluminescence(EL) spectra of organic EL device which have a device structure of ITO/CuPc(5nm)/emitting layer(100nm)/BBOT(30nm)/LiF(1.4nm)/Al(200nm) were slightly changed as a function of the applied voltage. The luminance fo 12.3 ${\mu}$W/$\textrm{cm}^2$ was achieved at 20V and EL spectrum measured at 20V corresponds to Commission Internationale de L\`Eclairage(CIE) coordinates of x=0.29 and y=0.353.
