Drones are now widely used in civilian applications such as filming, leisure, agricultural control, monitoring, and the generation of 3D-spatial information, deviating only from military drones. In the field of logistics, prototypes are emerging in the area of logistics transportation, and to develop a future transportation service under the name of a drone tax, each country is introducing its first flight results using its own unique drones. In this paper, we review the domestic and overseas trends of drone delivery service technology, which requires various capabilities such as automatic flight, and review the related core technologies. We then propose the flight capability and road map of a drone delivery service according to the detailed conditions such as the flight area, visibility, and flight method. Additionally, in connection with the postal processing of the Korea Post Office, which would be a main demand for this type of service, we describe a method for realizing a drone delivery service based on the structure, scenario, and deployment of the drone delivery system.

Immersive media, which maximizes the viewer's sense of presence and immersion, has been developed in the form of 3D stereoscopic media and UHD media. Going one step further, VR media, which can provide immersive experiences within an artificially created environment, have recently been considered a type of next-generation media. Within this trend, numerous IT and broadcasting companies around the world are actively investing their time and resources to boost the emerging VR industry. In this paper, we introduce the representative VR media acquisition and broadcasting service technologies that are leading the current VR industry.

The unprecedented demands of mobile communication networks by the rapid rising popularity of mobile applications and services require future networks to support the exploding mobile traffic volumes, the real time extraction of fine-rained analytics, and the agile management of network resources, so as to maximize user experience. To fulfill these needs, research on the use of emerging deep learning techniques in future mobile systems has recently emerged; as such, this study deals with deep learning based mobile communication research activities. A thorough survey of the literature, conference, and workshops on deep learning for mobile communication networks is conducted. Finally, concluding remarks describe the major future research directions in this field.

In a situation where applications determine business competitiveness, they cannot respond to varying customer requirements without the cloud's flexibility and scalability. Companies have begun seeking ways to enjoy the advantages of the cloud fully, and the concept of "Cloud Native" is emerging as a solution to the problem. Cloud Native is now a target of interest in the market. Microservice and serverless functions can play a vital role in cloud-native architecture. Microservice arranges applications into various independent services, each offering certain functionality through mutual networking. eBPF is attracting attention as a cloud-native networking solution that quickly supports microservice features that repeat creation/deletion. This study identifies the characteristics of eBPF-based networking and evaluates cloud-native networking and secure networking using eBPF.

Internet-based EDI is emerging as a prominent substitute technology for traditional VAN-based EDI technology. The strength of this new technology is based on the explosive growth of Internet community, low "fixed-rate" Internet expense and "globally" open base of its participants. These strengths of Internet-baed EDI bring vast new opportunities for enterprises and thus. have as much implications for IT managers. However, Internet-based EDI technology has, at least by now, several drawbacks too. Most of these drawbacks also comes from the fact that it has its structural base on the Internet. Managers should carefully consider these drawbacks and hidden costs before adopting or switching to this attractive new technology. This presentation attempts to address major trends of Internet-based EDI and its implementation, opportunities and threats of the changes in technology, factors to consider in adopting this technology, and several managerial and strategic tradeoffs and implications of Internet-based EDI for IT managers.

The Internet of Things (IoT) has gotten a lot of research attention in recent years. IoT is seen as the internet's future. IoT will play a critical role in the future, transforming our lifestyles, standards, and business methods. In the following years, the use of IoT in various applications is likely to rise. In the world of information technology, cyber security is critical. In today's world, protecting data has become one of the most difficult tasks. Different type of emerging cyber threats such as malicious, network based and abuse of network have been identified in the IoT. These can be done by virus, Phishing, Spam and insider abuse. This paper focuses on emerging threats, various challenges and vulnerabilities which are faced by the cyber security in the field of IoT and its applications. It focuses on the methods, ethics, and trends that are reshaping the cyber security landscape. This paper also focuses on an attempt to classify various types of threats, by analyzing and characterizing the intruders and attacks facing towards the IoT devices and its services.

The purpose of this study is to grasp the understanding of smart cities and to review whether the common perception of smart cities, as people understand it, is changing over time. This study analyzes keywords related to smart cities used in social network services (SNSs) in 2011, 2016, and 2020 respectively through semantic network analysis. Smart city discussions appearing on SNS in 2011 mainly focused on technology, and the results of 2016 were generally similar to those of 2011. We can also find policy or business-oriented characteristics in emerging countries in 2020. We highlight that all the results of 2011, 2016, and 2020 have some correlation with each other through QAP(Quadratic Assignment Procedure) correlation analysis, and among them, the correlation between 2011 and 2016 is analyzed the most. The results of the frequency analysis, centrality analysis, and CONCOR(CONvergence of interaction CORrelation) analysis support these results. The results of this study help establish policies that reflect the needs and opinions of citizens in planning smart cities by identifying trends and paradigm transitions expressed by people in SNS. Furthermore, it is expected to help emerging countries by enhancing the understanding of the essence and trend of smart cities and to contribute by suggesting the direction of more sustainable technology development in future smart city policies for leading countries.

This study has identified human performance research issues associated with the implementation of new technology in nuclear power plants (NPPs). To identify the research issues, current industry developments and trends were evaluated in the areas of reactor technology, instrumentation and control technology, human-system integration technology, and human factors engineering (HFE) methods and tools. The issues were prioritized into four categories based on evaluations provided by 14 independent subject matter experts representing vendors, utilities, research organizations and regulators. Twenty issues were categorized into the top priority category. The study also identifies the priority of each issue and the rationale for those in the top priority category. The top priority issues were then organized into research program areas of: New Concepts of Operation using Multi-agent Teams, Human-system Interface Design, Complexity Issues in Advanced Systems, Operating Experience of New and Modernized Plants, and HFE Methods and Tools. The results can serve as input to the development of a long-term strategy and plan for addressing human performance in these areas to support the safe operation of new NPPs.

This study for the development of water purification Artificial floating island maximizing domestic Artificial floating island patent trends and product development, according to the timing of patent registration was analyzed for trends. The present status of the mold industry, including the size of the mold industry in Korea, its position in the global market, the production of the mold industry, import and export, and recent trends in the mold industry were examined. The survey was implemented for the trends fo dies and molds industry in 2017 by answers on business environment for Korean Mold Industry Cooperative Union members. The sharp decline in plastic mold exports in 2015 led to a decline in overall exports. China and Japan account for a very large share of mold exporting countries, but exports to emerging markets such as India, Mexico and Vietnam contributed to the overall increase in mold exports. China, Japan, India, the United States and Mexico were named as exporting countries with more than US $ 200 million, and Vietnam showed similar tendency as a major exporter. A survey conducted by the Korea Mold Industry Cooperative Association showed that the decrease in production and exports was predicted. In order to overcome the difficulties of the mold industry, the need for research on the linkage of the mold industry and technology to the wave of the fourth industrial revolution has increased.
