Provide little more superior quality high fire fighting service to jeju islander, and need long-term and elaborate research to correspond in rising fire fighting man-power demand newly and investment. Construction of well-matched disaster administration system is assignment that must hurry in international free city. That jejudo receives time factor about that is received for another thing area's number of persons or equipment when regional special quality large scale or disaster happens is that of course the support receives limitation immediately. Jeju fire fighting services is one story reform, specialization taking into account particular situation of jeju area to grow as sightseeing and center of culture intending international free city, should be upgraded. As a result of the main study, the overall level of the subjects' work scope expansion averaged 3.34points(out of 5points), and among the items, 'The scope of work of emergency medical personnel should be expanded by revising the Act on emergency medical cars' was the highest. As for the difference in the expansion of the scope of work of paramedics by position, 'The current telemedicine guidance system is inconvenient to use' was the highest for emergency medical technicians, and there was a statistically significant difference(p<.01). Based on this study, it is believed that repeated studies are needed to establish and generalize the scope of work of paramedics.

  • Purpose: Despite the fact that emergency medical centers (ED) are used by emergency patients, more than 50% of non-emergency patients have been reported to be admitted in EDs, of which more than 10% of them used the 119 ambulance. Therefore, this study investigated whether there was a change in the severity of patients visiting EDs during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: This was a retrospective study of patients who visited the ED through the 119 ambulance in 2019 (13,735) and 2020 (11,015). Patient data were analyzed using the medical information system. Results: There was an increase in non-emergency patients at the emergency departments (KTAS levels 4-5) in 2020 with a rate of 58.0% (6,393), as compared to the 2019 data with a rate of 44.9% (6,169). However, the 2020 median length of stay in the emergency department was 188 minutes (IQR: 0-5,909minutes) (p=.000), which was decreased as compared to the 2019 median length of stay of 231 minutes (IQR: 5-6,211minutes) (p=.003). Conclusion: Providing emergency ambulance guidelines for selecting proper hospitals and educating patients to refrain from using the ED for non-emergency patients should be taken into consideration to prevent overcrowding and construct a more effective emergency medical system (EMS).

  • This study examines the effects of the public's perception of emergency medical service (EMS) on the public health system's brand equity and the moderating effect of governance on this relationship using Keller's customer-based brand equity model. It uses four EMS functions: rescue/first-aid and transfer activities; disaster prevention, preparation, and response activities; educational activities in urgent situations; and medical treatment in emergency rooms to examine the effects of them on brand meaning of the public health system. Our findings are important for understanding the public as customers of the public health system and devising and/ or adapting healthcare policies and marketing strategies to develop brand equity and increase customers' loyalty to the public health system.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide GIS application to the emergency medical service management system in the Seoul area. Two wards, Kangnam-Gu and Songpa-Gu, were selected for a pilot study subject. The main focus of the study was to develope the network system using GIS which could select the most available hospital from the site being emergency case and advise the minimum path to the hospital. ARC/INFO pc version was need to implemeni an indexing system for automated mapping and data storage. The developed system, "Emergency Medical System based on GIS ${\ulcorner}$EMS/GIS${\lrcorner}m$", consists of the cartographic database and vehicle transportation system. The results suggest that EMS/GIS network are needed to connect the local transportation network between major emergency care hospitals and central conirol tower in the near future. If the EMS/GIS system could be more developed based in further analysis, it would be the most useful economical and efficient for emergency medical service with mutual aid system.al aid system.

  • In this paper, we designed a role-based emergency medical information security system REMISS added the security concept to the existing emergency medical information system. Also we suggested a REMISS protocol based on HL7 for using the emergency medical information and the security information. The procedure of security consists of user authentication phase and role/permission assign phase in the REMISS. The REMISS can supply proper security service since the REMISS assign proper permissions to each users of emergency medical information system and allow the user to access the permitted emergency medical information by using security information of the REMISS. There are some advantages that REMISS can adapt to the changing of the role of each user by dynamic exchanging the security information and assigning permissions to each user.

  • Recently the study about a smart health care which is combined IT with BT to provide a variety of health care services are being actively investigated. In order to provide the best possible emergency medical services in a short period of time, it is necessary that the rapid emergency measures in the event of an emergency essential. In this paper, we propose an emergency medical service platform to take effective first aid to person who has a NFC tag or NFC-enabled mobile smart phones in an accident. Using NFC, it is possible to help without physical contact to the patient unconscious to emergency incidents such as falling down in everyday life. In this paper, we design and implement an mobile emergency medical system that can deliver first aid information ask for help in case of emergency.
