Accuracy of 14 intraoral scanners for the All-on-4 treatment concept: a comparative in vitro study

  • PURPOSE. This in vitro study aimed to evaluate the accuracy of 14 different intraoral scanners for the All-on-4 treatment concept. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Four implants were placed in regions 13, 16, 23, and 26 of an edentulous maxillary model that was poured with scannable Type 4 gypsum to imitate the All-on-4 concept. The cast was scanned 10 times for each of 14 intraoral scanners (Primescan, iTero 2, iTero 5D, Virtuo Vivo, Trios 3, Trios 4, CS3600, CS3700, Emerald, Emerald S, Medit i500, BenQ BIS-I, Heron IOS, and Aadva IOS 100P) after the polyether ether ketone scanbody was placed. For the control group, the gypsum model was scanned 10 times with an industrial scanner. The first of the 10 virtual models obtained from the industrial model was chosen as the reference model. For trueness, the data of the 14 dental scanners were superimposed with the reference model; for precision, the data of all 14 scanners were superimposed within the groups. Statistical analyses were performed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Shapiro-Wilks, and Dunn's tests. RESULTS. Primescan showed the highest trueness and precision values (P < .005), followed by the iTero 5D scanner (P < .005). CONCLUSION. Some of these digital scanners can be used to make impressions within the All-on-4 concept. However, the possibility of data loss due to artifacts, reflections, and the inability to combine the data should be considered.

치성광여래 무신도의 과학적 분석 및 보존처리 연구 (A Study on the Conservation and Management of the Painting of Shamanistic Spirits in Chiseonggwang Buddha)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 박락과 오염이 심하여 보존 상태가 좋지 않은 치성광여래 무신도에 대한 과학적 조사를 기초로 보존처리를 진행한 논문이다. 연구 방법으로는 상태 조사와 과학적 장비를 이용하여 무신도의 재질과 제작 방법을 파악하였다. 사용 장비로는 색차계와 실체현미경 그리고 휴대용 현미경, P-XRF, FT-IR, SEM-EDS를 이용하여 배접지와 바탕재의 종류와 채색 안료 성분분석을 하였다. 분석결과 배접지는 펄프지, 바탕재는 합성섬유인 폴리에스테르로 확인되었다. 또한 사용 안료는 적색 안료인 연단[Red Lead, Pb3O4], 백색 안료인 호분[Oyster Shell White, CaCO3]을 제외하고 나머지는 합성안료로 확인되었다. 또한, 19세기 후반 무신도에서 주로 확인되는 녹색안료인 에메랄드그린[Emerald Green, Cu(C2H3O2)2·3Cu(AsO2)2]이 검출되었다. 이와 같은 분석을 통하여 확인된 재질 및 안료를 사용하여 치성광여래 무신도의 보존처리를 진행하여 보존하고자 하였다.

일원오악도 안료에 대한 과학적 분석 (A scientific analysis of pigments for the Ilweoloakdo)

  • From the ancient to these days, there have been used many kinds of pigment which have two types that are inorganic pigment and organic pigment. At the ancient times, natural pigment had been used but the artificially mixed pigment has been used in modern times. By the way, searching for studies has been studied recently, it would be said the ancient pigments such as Danchung, Wall painting and Mural painting are the mainthema. However, studies about the pigments used in modern pictured relics have rarely can be found. Therefore, this analysis of Ilweolokdo would be important at the point of the pigments used in pictures of royal family in modern times and the results can be briefly summarized as below; Firstly, the results of qualitative analysis of the pigments that base or all pigments of picture was detected components of Ca, Fe and As, this results meaning that picture was used filler and basic paint. Secondly, a result of the analysis on the composition elements of the pigments shows that the main components in their composition are ;White - Lead Cyanamide($2PbCO_3$.$Pb(OH)_2$) or Titanium Oxide($TiO_2$)Blue - Ultramarine($2(Na_2O$.$Al_2O_3$ .$2Si_O2$).$Na_2S_2$)Green - Emerald green($C_2H_3A_s3Cu_2O_8$)Gold - Gold(Au), Red-Red Lead($Pb_3O_4$) or Cinnabar(HgS)Black - Carbon(C)Thirdly, X-ray diffraction analysis of crystalline structure for the blue and green pigment peeling off in picture shows that the components of blue pigment is Ultramarine($2(Na_2O$.$Al_2O_3$ .$2Si_O2$).$Na_2S_2$) and green pigment is Emerald green($C_2H_3A_s3Cu_2O_8$). Especially, microcrystalline structure of the green pigment was the shape like a cross section of wood. Consequently, we knew through the analysis of qualitative and microcrystallinestructures seen on the cross section of analyzed pigments layer that the all pigments used in the Ilweoloakdo is possible to use synthetic pigments in modern.

질소 시비가 크리핑 벤트그래스의 품질과 병 억제효과에 미치는 영향 (Turfgrass Quality and Disease Suppression on a Creeping Bentgrass Green by Various Nitrogen Sources)

  • 달라스팟과 브라운패치는 골프코스관리에서 가장 많이 발생되는 병이기도 하며 코스관리 예산에 있어 경제적으로 가장 중요한 병들이다. 최근 연구에 의하면 다양한 질소 비료에 의해 잔디에서 발생되는 병이 억제 된다는 결과가 보고되었다. 본 실험은 여러종류의 질소 비료가 크리핑 벤트그래스에서 발생되는 달라스팟과 브라운패치 병에 대한 억제 효능에 대해 알아보기 위해서 수행이 되었다. 총 7가지의 질소 비료와 $Emerald^{TM}$ and $ProStar^{TM}$의 2가지 잔디병 약제가 약제 조합을 위해 실험에 사용이 되었다. 질소의 잔디질에 있어서 종류가 다른 질소 시비간의 차이는 본 실험의 결과에서 나타나지 않았다. 그러나 잔디병약제 조합과 잔디병약제 조합 그리고 요소비료의 혼합에서는 유의차를 보였다. 달라스팟과 브라운패치 병의 억제 효과에 있어서는 종류가 다른 질소 시비들간의 차이를 보이지 않았다. 본 실험의 결과에 의하면 질소질 비료의 종류에 따라 달라스팟과 브라운 패치의 억제 효과는 나타나지 않았다. 실험기간중 다소 유의차가 나타난 기간이 있었지만 집중적인 관리가 요구되는 골프코스와 같은 잔디지역에서는 병방제를 위해서 약제의 사용이 필요하다고 판단이 되었다.

국내외 지식경영연구의 주제어 프로파일링 및 동시출현분석을 통한 학문정체성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Academic Identity through the Profiling and Co-Word Analysis of Domestic and Foreign Knowledge Management Research)

  • This study is to compare the main subjects of domestic and foreign knowledge management research in terms of keywords and to clarify whether domestic knowledge management research reflects research trends in overseas knowledge management research. Specifically, we try to find out whether the central activities such as knowledge sharing, knowledge generation, and acquisition, which are knowledge management activities of knowledge management research, are being studied without bias. In order to analyze this, we analyzed the data of domestic and foreign knowledge management research for the last 5 years from 2012 to 2016. In Korea, the Knowledge Management Society of Korea collected 167 papers and 787 keywords, and collected 132 papers and 640 keywords from the Korea Society of Management Information Systems in order to distinguish the research areas. Overseas papers collected 315 papers and 1,746 keywords published by Emerald. Also, we collected 382 papers and 1,633 keywords in the Korean Management Review and collected 646 papers and 2,879 keywords in the Korean Business Education Review. Frequency analysis and network analysis of 1,642 papers and 7,685 keywords are summarized as follows. The Knowledge Management Society of Korea has focused on knowledge sharing, and in 2016, interest in knowledge transfer and knowledge search has shifted. The Journal of Knowledge Management, which is published by Emerald, has been a major concern for knowledge transfer and knowledge sharing. The research trends of the Korea Society of Management Information Systems to distinguish a clear identity of knowledge management research are focusing on smart area and mobile domain such as information security domain, cloud, smart phone, and smart work. In the Korea Society of Management Information Systems research, the main subject of knowledge sharing is also commonly found.

밝은 적색계의 상록성 패랭이꽃 신품종 'URI 2010-6' 육성 (Breeding for New Evergreen Dianthus Cultivar 'URI 2010-6' with Bright Red Flower Color)

  • 'URI 2010-6'은 우리꽃종묘에서 2011년 종간 교잡종인 'Evergreen Emerald'을 자방친으로 D. chinensis 'Ruby'를 화분친으로 실시한 교잡의 $F_1$ 후대로부터 선발, 육성한 패랭이꽃속 신품종이다. 2007년 교배실생 개체를 획득하였고, 2008년부터 2010년까지 3년 동안의 생육특성검정을 통해 선발하여 2011년 국립종자원에 'URI 2010-6'로 신품종 등록하였다(품종보호: 제4431호). 'URI 2010-6'의 화색은 주로 밝은 적색(Red, N79C)이며, 2차색으로 백색(White, N155C)이 꽃잎 가장자리와 꽃잎에 반점형태로 발현되는 석죽형의 홑꽃이다. 또한 꽃의 직경은 2.7cm, 길이는 0.8cm이고, 개화 지속기간은 평균 150일 정도로 장기개화가 가능하며, 겨울철에도 상록성이 우수하다.

국내 문헌정보학 분야 학술지에 구조적 초록을 도입하기 위한 예비 연구 (A Preliminary Study on the Adoption of Structured Abstracts by Korean Library and Information Science Journals)

  • 이 논문은 구조적 초록 형식을 국내 문헌정보학 분야 학술지에 도입할 것을 검토하기 위한 예비 연구이다. 이를 위해서 구조적 초록을 도입한 해외 문헌정보학 분야 학술지 사례를 파악한 후, 연구의 가치와 실무적/사회적 의의 섹션을 강조하는 Emerald 출판사 발행 학술지 중 4종을 대상으로 구조적 초록을 구성하는 각 섹션별 사용 통계를 구체적으로 분석해보았다. 구조적 초록을 도입하면 초록의 길이가 길어지는 단점을 감안해서 국내 문헌정보학 분야 학술지 4종의 초록 관련 규정과 최근 게재된 초록 길이를 살펴보았다. 아울러 국문초록의 구성요소 현황을 분석하여 필수 요소가 일부 초록에서 누락되는 경우를 확인하였다. 마지막으로 국내 문헌정보학 학술지를 위한 구조적 초록 도입 방안을 초록의 길이와 섹션 구성 위주로 제시하였다. 제안된 구조적 초록 형식을 도입한다면 국내 문헌정보학 연구의 도서관 및 정보관리 실무 활용이 더욱 활발해질 것으로 기대된다.

Factors Affecting HACCP Practices in the Food Sectors: A Review of Literature $1994{\sim}2007$

  • Almost every country around the world has been focusing on food safety in intense and multifaceted ways. The use of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) is widely accepted as a food safety management system. This paper investigates the success factors of HACCP practices with reference to the domains of food production, processing and delivery. A literature review of food safety and management articles was conducted. Using the keywords search, the online Emerald Database was used and a total of 102 journal articles were identified between 1994 and 2007. The study examined a list of 20 success factors. Results show that 'food regulations,' 'role of the industry,' 'government policies and interventions,' 'training on food safety and hygiene,' and 'food contamination and/or poisoning' share the spotlight as being the most critical factors for HACCP practices in organisations. Future research could investigate a holistic paradigm that incorporates the success factors and aligns HACCP measures for attaining safety performance goals.

The Structure, and the Magnetic and Magnetoresistive Characteristics of the Spin Valve Multilayers

  • In this paper we report the low and high angle diffraction results, and the magnetic and magnetroesistive characteristics of the spin valve multilayer structure prepared by the sputter machine Emerald II in the Balzers Laboratory. The investigated system consists of a ferromagnetic free layer (7 nm NiFe) and a ferromagnetic pinned layer (7 nm NiFe), separated from each other by a nonmagnetic (2.1 nm Cu) spacer. The NiFe pinned layer is fixed by the exchange coupling with an antiferromagnetic layer (10 nm FeMn). For such system the magnetoresistance ratio ΔR/R=3.58%, the interlayer exchange coupling $H_c=6.4$ Oe and the field sensitivity 1.15%/Oe were otained.

The usage of Electronic Databases in Academic Libraries in Ghana. The Experience of Ghana Communication Technology University Library (GCTUL)

  • This study examines the use of electronic databases (e-databases) by faculty members of the Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU). The study used a descriptive research method. Copies of the questionnaire were used for the data collection. Due to the manageable population, no sampling method was used in this study. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (IBM-SPSS 21.0) was used for data analysis. The results showed that most faculty members were aware of the availability of databases in the library. Additionally, the findings established that Emerald, as well as Taylor and Francis, were ranked highly in terms of availability and accessibility. The study identified problems such as difficulty in downloading information as well as poor internet connectivity. Based on the results, the study recommended that library management should address all the challenges that users encounter as soon as possible.
