A Study on the Development of Digital Space Design Process Using User′s Motion Data (사용자 모션데이터를 활용한 디지털 공간디자인 프로세스 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to develope'a digital space design process using user's motion data' through a theoretical and experimental study. In the progress of developing a developing of design process, this study was concentrated on searching a digital method applying user's interactive reflections. As introducing a concept of space form being generated by user's experiences, we proposed'a digital design process using user's motion data'. In the experimental stage, user's motion data were extracted and transferred as digital information by user behavior analysis, optical motion capture system, immersive VR system, 3D softwares com computer programming. As the result of this study, another useful digital design process was embodied by building up a digital form-transforming method using 3D softwares providing internal algorithm. This study would be meaningful in terms of attempting a creative and interactive digital space design method, avoiding dehumanization of existing ones through the theoretical study and the experimental approach.

  • Contents industry is growing into a versatile area whose contents can be embodied through not only traditional media such as theater and TV, but also new ones such as the internet, mobile unit, PDA, DMP, etc. In addition, highly advanced computer technology and contents are harmoniously combined for image development featuring multi-channels, which produces various contents, and thus, creating synergy effects with other key industries such as IT, strengthens the domestic economy as an industry of value expansion and new high value items. To this end, this study is to present development plans that are highly productive and valued to domestic contents development companies. For this, the focus was put on the fact that concurrent engineering, which is the mechanism bringing very beneficial effects to existing analog product development processes, and the team system have significant, positive effect on the company productiveness and competitive market values among digital contents related companies, especially contents businesses.

  • This paper suggests a system which analyzes facial images through hypotheses generation and verification.A model knowledge on faical structures is to be represented in a hieratchical frame system and the process of hypothesis generation and verification is to be embodied through linking upper lower-level frames.This paper especially addresses the problem of how to selec an approproate knowledge at each stage of hypotheses generation and verification.

  • In this paper, propagation analysis method in using 3D Ray Tracing propagation model in wireless cell planning is proposed. Through 3D Ray Tracing model, we can predict the distribution of propagation loss of the received signal. For correct and a low complex analysis, Quad Tree and Pre-Ordering and Hash Function algorithms are included in 3D Ray Tracing algorithm. And 3D Ray Tracing model is embodied in CellTREK that is developed by KT and used to plan Wibro system analysis. In CellTREK, propagation analysis is performed and that result is represented in 3D viewer. In numerical results, it is showed that the proposed scheme outperforms Modified HATA model when comparing with measurement data.

  • This paper pertains to the embodiment of the CATV network devices, and Automatically Centralized device was embodied in order to solve the inefficiency of the existing passive device. The frequency bandwidth, which don't use the part of CATV on signal of video, using frequency bandwidth of the control and systemize in automatic distributive system, the communication which depends on two way of forward/backward communication and backward communication/materialize in the system of unification management of 9600bps using RS-232.

  • This paper manufactured animation to use expression for efficient action control of character animation. Animation to use expression is method to express natural animation little more easily and usefully in expression of motion. Find urea that could control animation in expression analyzing action control points of character and used in ceremony. Embodied animation to control automatically action of character on the basis of this. Efficiency of expression that animation by expression can create natural and realistic action by manufacturing that is simple was expose by advantage, but showed awkwardness than animation by key frame way by animator.

  • This study was conducted to identify the effects of industrialization upon the traditional house and dwelling space and their socio-cultural parameters. By now, in architecture the industrialization has been studied in relation to the formation of modern architecture and the traditional hose or hosing, as though it were a thing already concluded. for this reason, the relationship between industrialization and traditional housing has not been surveyed sufficiently. In reality, the traditional house, however, survives in spite of industrialization, but certainly modified. To examine the effects of industrialization on the traditional house and housing, we must deepen the concepts of both and sow how they are entangled in the socio-cultural context and that they are internal to each other. The parameters does not act independently on the organization of the dwelling space, but in a system formed by them. After all, the combined action of the parameters effected by industrialization entails the de-structuration of the traditional arrangement in traditional house, and tends toward, although it does not realize completely, the re-structuration for the arrangement of intimacy embodied in modern house.

  • Hader and Park (1978) introduced the idea of slope rotatability, and Park (1987) introduced the concept of slope rotatability over all directions, and gave necessary and sufficient conditions. Park and Kim (1992) proposed a measure that represent the extent of slope rotatability for a given response surface design. Kim (1993) proposed a measure that represent the extent of slope rotatavility over all directions. In this paper, we embodied the measure of slope rotatability over all directions. Examples of applying this measure to some response surface designs are also given. In this response surface design of slope rotatavility over all directions, we obtain the mean slope variances on the spherical surface to select better experimental design varying the number of center points and radius.

  • This study is purposed to find the transition of the perspective connected with visual modality. The perspective based on Greek optics and euclidean geometry and rediscovered in Renaissance represents the object according to the particular moment and the point of view, is a principal fact which affect architecture, the form of a city and the spatial organization and symbolizes an ideal of the times. It embodied perception which treats the space rationally on the basis of realism and became visual modality based on the separation of the seeing subject and the world of the object. The point of view became one with the vanishing point which made up the shape and after Renaissance for four hundred years a straight line, a right angle and a circle got to be favorite geometrical choices in architecture. A fixed point of view of the subject is getting to change and break up fundamentally by the new visual technologies of the modem times.

  • Architectural works build with a modernistic viewpoint led to standardization and low of peculiarity , and which resulted in isolation of people from their environment. In that context, the sense of place can be a new paradigm replacing modernism and reflect the fundamental value and meaning of architecture. Interior space as a place can be analyzed from the viewpoint of existentialism. The purpose of this research is to define the concept of place based on C. N. Schulz's theory of space, and aims at embodiment of the sense of place in interior, especially residential , environment through applying emotional and psychological factors. Spatial characteristics that help to form and enhance the sense of place are center, axis and direction, and boundary and enclosure. Some psychological factors, in other words, people's psychological needs, affect the continuation of the sense of place, especially in residential environment where we reside comparatively for a long period and use the same place repeatedly , security, hierarchy/order, aesthetics, variety, and sociability. The sense of place is embodied and lasted mainly by personalization through the process of visualization , symbolization , and complementation of above mentioned properties and elements.
