Adaptive Watermarking based on Fuzzy Inference and Human Visual System (퍼지 추론과 시각특성 기반의 적응적 워터마킹)

  • In this paper, we proposed a robust watermarking algorithm based on fuzzy inference and human visual system. In the first, discrete wavelet transform(DWT) is involved to calculate additive energy strength, then we devised fuzzy inference, which was established by computing contrast and texture degree in gray-level image. Watermark is embeded into the coefficients of 3-level DWT so as to consider a spatial effects. Visual recognizable patterns such as binary image were used as a watermark Consequently, experimental results showed that proposed algorithm is robust in JPEC compression.

  • Recent semiconductor design technology has been substantially developed that we can design a micro-system on a chip as well as implementing an application specific IC in an FPGA. SPARTAN-3E developed by Xilinx is equipped with an FPGA that holds as much as 500 thousand transistors connected with MicroBlaze softcore microprocessor bus system. In this paper, we discuss a method of implementing an embedded system using the SPARTAN-3E. We also explain the peripherals and the bus protocols and the expandability of this kind of embeded systems.

  • Impact factor of concrete and ballast track which has been used in Korea railway was applied to equation (1+0.513V/100) from AREA. As the use of this equation, overcapacity of track design might be occurred. Therefore, this study compared impact of ballast track (well, bad) and concrete track (sleeper embeded system, rail floating and sleeper floating) by field test to analyzing dynamic effect of track structure's characteristic and wheel load on service line. In addition, it suggested a method to generate reasonable track impact factor on each track type.

  • This study develops the System(MetaGene) to create meta-data for learning object based on SCORM including meta-data of Assets. SCO, Contents Aggregation and metadata of Contents Package. API function cocle is embeded in Learning Object for interfacing API adopter in LMS to support SCORM and for tracking on learning process based on data models. Also, the learning objects are packaged the PIF(Packaged Interchange File) to transmit with LMS. MetaGene is verified by $SCORM^{(TM)}$ Conformance TestSuite for meta-data of learning objects, manifest file of Contents Packaging.

  • Contents 1We developed a new type of lower part of the human-sized BWR (biped walking robot) driven by a new actuator based on the ball screw which has high strength and high gear ratio. Each leg of the robot is composed of three pitch Joints and one roll joint. In all, a 8 degree-of-freedom robot was developed. A new type of actuator for the robot is proposed, which is composed of four bar link mechanism driven by the ball screw. The BWR was designed to walk autonomously by adapting small DC motors for the robot actuators and has an embeded controller system including host computer, batteries and motor drivers.   • There is an increasing need to apply artificial intelligence to the real application fields of industry. These include an intelligent process control, an expert machine and a diagnostic and/or maintenance machine. These applications are implemented in AI Languages. It is commonly recognized that AI Languages, such as Common Lisp or Prolog, require a workstation. This is mainly due to the fact that both languages need a large amount of memory space and disk storage space. Workstations are appropriate for a laboratory or office environment. However, they are too bulky to use in the real application fields of industry or business. Also users who apply artificial intelligence to these fields wish to have their own operating systems. We propose a new design method of an intelligent controller which is embedded within equipment and provides easy-to-use tools for artificial intelligence applications. In this paper we describe the new design method of a VMEbus based intelligent controller for artificial intelligence applications and a small operating system which supports Common Lisp and Prolog.

  • As giving IP on electric home appliance like as TV, Air-conditioner, etc., with the development of electric products and home networking, it has been possible to communicate through the Internet. In this paper, we proposed and developed the system which is possible to control the commercial vending machine using embeded internet card through internet. We implemented the basic circuit and application program for TCP/IP communication program by Java applet.

  • A study to synthesize the recent concept and significance of quality and quality control has been performed in this paper. With understanding the recent market and manufacturing environment, we first discuss the significance of quality from the system view point. Then the existing definitions of quality have been rigourously examined and some significant features embeded in them have been derived. Through this examination, we specifically address "endless-effort for improvement" with three key elements required for successful implementation in quality control programs. Taguchi's quadratic loss function with regard to the addressed quality concept has also been discussed. Finally, we conclude this study with providing a view toward the development of new models.

  • 향후 사이버전 환경에서는 기존의 인터넷망과 인터넷 서비스에 대한 사이버 공격을 통한 서비스의 마비 뿐만 아니라, 무기체계 자체에 대한 사이버 공격을 통해 군사 지휘통제에 대한 전략적 수단과 군사작전 수행의 마비를 위한 전술적 수단으로써의 다양한 사이버 공격형태들이 발생할 것이 예상된다. 이러한 사이버 공격에 대한 대응 수단으로 무기체계 내장형 소프트웨어에 대한 시큐어 코딩의 적용이 필요하며, 본 논문에서는 무기체계 내장형 소프트웨어에 대한 시큐어 코딩 적용 관련한 그 동안의 연구 동향을 살펴보고 향후 연구 방향을 제안하였다.

  • Corrosion of rebar in RC structures, which results in premature deterioration of reinforced concrete structures, is a very serious problem. Most corrosion monitoring and sensing technologies require some type of wired or wireless connection between the sensor and monitoring electronics. This causes significant problems in their installation and long-term use. In this paper we describe a corrosion monitoring technology of rebar in reinforced concrete structures. Especially, it is emphasize that the development of sensors and monitoring system not only occurrence of rebar corrosion but also penetration of deterioration factor such like chloride ion and carbon dioxite etc..
