The exiting word embedding methodology such as word2vec represents words, which only occur in the raw training corpus, as a fixed-length vector into a continuous vector space, so when mapping the words incorporated in the raw training corpus into a fixed-length vector in morphologically rich language, out-of-vocabulary (OOV) problem often happens. Even for sentence embedding, when representing the meaning of a sentence as a fixed-length vector by synthesizing word vectors constituting a sentence, OOV words make it challenging to meaningfully represent a sentence into a fixed-length vector. In particular, since the agglutinative language, the Korean has a morphological characteristic to integrate lexical morpheme and grammatical morpheme, handling OOV words is an important factor in improving performance. In this paper, we propose parallel Tri-LSTM sentence embedding that is robust to the OOV problem by extending utilizing the morphological information of words into sentence-level. As a result of the sentiment analysis task with corpus in Korean, we empirically found that the character unit is better than the morpheme unit as an embedding unit for Korean sentence embedding. We achieved 86.17% accuracy on the sentiment analysis task with the parallel bidirectional Tri-LSTM sentence encoder.
The node embedding technique for learning graph representation plays an important role in obtaining good quality results in graph mining. Until now, representative node embedding techniques have been studied for homogeneous graphs, and thus it is difficult to learn knowledge graphs with unique meanings for each edge. To resolve this problem, the conventional Triple2Vec technique builds an embedding model by learning a triple graph having a node pair and an edge of the knowledge graph as one node. However, the Triple2 Vec embedding model has limitations in improving performance because it calculates the relationship between triple nodes as a simple measure. Therefore, this paper proposes a feature extraction technique based on a graph convolutional neural network to improve the Triple2Vec embedding model. The proposed method extracts the neighborliness vector of the triple graph and learns the relationship between neighboring nodes for each node in the triple graph. We proves that the embedding model applying the proposed method is superior to the existing Triple2Vec model through category classification experiments using DBLP, DBpedia, and IMDB datasets.

The word sense disambiguation problem is to find the correct sense of an ambiguous word having multiple senses in a dictionary in a sentence. We regard this problem as a multi-class classification problem and classify the ambiguous word by using Support Vector Machines. Context words of the ambiguous word, which are extracted from Sejong sense tagged corpus, are represented to two kinds of vector space. One vector space is composed of context words vectors having binary weights. The other vector space has vectors where the context words are mapped by word embedding model. After experiments, we acquired accuracy of 87.0% with context word vectors and 86.0% with word embedding model.
In this paper, we propose a fine-grained mobile application clustering model using retrofitted document embedding. To automatically determine the clusters and their numbers with no predefined categories, the proposed model initializes the clusters based on title keywords and then merges similar clusters. For improved clustering performance, the proposed model distinguishes between an accurate clustering step with titles and an expansive clustering step with descriptions. During the accurate clustering step, an automatically tagged set is constructed as a result. This set is utilized to learn a high-performance document vector. During the expansive clustering step, more applications are then classified using this document vector. Experimental results showed that the purity of the proposed model increased by 0.19, and the entropy decreased by 1.18, compared with the K-means algorithm. In addition, the mean average precision improved by more than 0.09 in a comparison with a support vector machine classifier.
We give a simple proof of certain mapping properties of the p-adic Riesz potential and Bessel potential, and the p-adic version of the Sobolev embedding theorem obtained in [6].
Recently, deep speaker embedding approach has been widely used in text-independent speaker verification, which shows better performance than the traditional i-vector approach. In this work, to improve the deep speaker embedding approach, we propose a novel method called group-based speaker embedding which incorporates group information. We cluster all speakers of the training data into a predefined number of groups in an unsupervised manner, so that a fixed-length group embedding represents the corresponding group. A Group Decision Network (GDN) produces a group weight, and an aggregated group embedding is generated from the weighted sum of the group embeddings and the group weights. Finally, we generate a group-based embedding by adding the aggregated group embedding to the deep speaker embedding. In this way, a speaker embedding can reduce the search space of the speaker identity by incorporating group information, and thereby can flexibly represent a significant number of speakers. We conducted experiments using the VoxCeleb1 database to show that our proposed approach can improve the previous approaches.
This paper is a study on context-sensitive spelling error correction and uses the Korean WordNet (KorLex)[1] that defines the relationship between words as a graph to improve the performance of the correction[2] based on the vector information of the word embedded in the correction technique. The Korean WordNet replaced WordNet[3] developed at Princeton University in the United States and was additionally constructed for Korean. In order to learn a semantic network in graph form or to use it for learned vector information, it is necessary to transform it into a vector form by embedding learning. For transformation, we list the nodes (limited number) in a line format like a sentence in a graph in the form of a network before the training input. One of the learning techniques that use this strategy is Deepwalk[4]. DeepWalk is used to learn graphs between words in the Korean WordNet. The graph embedding information is used in concatenation with the word vector information of the learned language model for correction, and the final correction word is determined by the cosine distance value between the vectors. In this paper, In order to test whether the information of graph embedding affects the improvement of the performance of context- sensitive spelling error correction, a confused word pair was constructed and tested from the perspective of Word Sense Disambiguation(WSD). In the experimental results, the average correction performance of all confused word pairs was improved by 2.24% compared to the baseline correction performance.
In recent years, word embedding has been a popular field of natural language processing research and a skip-gram has become one successful word embedding method. It assigns a word embedding vector to each word using contexts, which provides an effective way to analyze text data. However, due to the limitation of vector space model, primary word embedding methods assume that every word only have a single meaning. As one faces multi-sense words, that is, words with more than one meaning, in reality, Neelakantan (2014) proposed a multi-sense skip-gram (MSSG) to find embedding vectors corresponding to the each senses of a multi-sense word using a clustering method. In this paper, we propose a modified method of the MSSG to improve statistical accuracy. Moreover, we propose a data-adaptive choice of the number of clusters, that is, the number of meanings for a multi-sense word. Some numerical evidence is given by conducting real data-based simulations.
Recently, with the change of the intelligent security paradigm, study to apply various information generated from various information security systems to AI-based anomaly detection is increasing. Therefore, in this study, in order to convert log-like time series data into a vector, which is a numerical feature, the CBOW and Skip-gram inference methods of deep learning-based Word2Vec model and statistical method based on the coincidence frequency were used to transform the published ADFA system call data. In relation to this, an experiment was carried out through conversion into various embedding vectors considering the dimension of vector, the length of sequence, and the window size. In addition, the performance of the embedding methods used as well as the detection performance were compared and evaluated through GRU-based anomaly detection model using vectors generated by the embedding model as an input. Compared to the statistical model, it was confirmed that the Skip-gram maintains more stable performance without biasing a specific window size or sequence length, and is more effective in making each event of sequence data into an embedding vector.
Recently, as word embedding has shown excellent performance in various tasks of deep learning-based natural language processing, researches on the advancement and application of word, sentence, and document embedding are being actively conducted. Among them, cross-language transfer, which enables semantic exchange between different languages, is growing simultaneously with the development of embedding models. Academia's interests in vector alignment are growing with the expectation that it can be applied to various embedding-based analysis. In particular, vector alignment is expected to be applied to mapping between specialized domains and generalized domains. In other words, it is expected that it will be possible to map the vocabulary of specialized fields such as R&D, medicine, and law into the space of the pre-trained language model learned with huge volume of general-purpose documents, or provide a clue for mapping vocabulary between mutually different specialized fields. However, since linear-based vector alignment which has been mainly studied in academia basically assumes statistical linearity, it tends to simplify the vector space. This essentially assumes that different types of vector spaces are geometrically similar, which yields a limitation that it causes inevitable distortion in the alignment process. To overcome this limitation, we propose a deep learning-based vector alignment methodology that effectively learns the nonlinearity of data. The proposed methodology consists of sequential learning of a skip-connected autoencoder and a regression model to align the specialized word embedding expressed in each space to the general embedding space. Finally, through the inference of the two trained models, the specialized vocabulary can be aligned in the general space. To verify the performance of the proposed methodology, an experiment was performed on a total of 77,578 documents in the field of 'health care' among national R&D tasks performed from 2011 to 2020. As a result, it was confirmed that the proposed methodology showed superior performance in terms of cosine similarity compared to the existing linear vector alignment.
