  • Multi-precision multiplication over public key cryptography should be considered for performance enhancement due to its computational complexity. Particularly, embedded device is not suitable to execute high complex computation, public key cryptography, because of its limited computational power and capacity. To overcome this flaw, research on multi-precision multiplication with fast computation and small capacity is actively being conducted. In the paper, we explore the cutting-edge technology of multi-precision multiplication for efficient implementation of public key cryptography over sensor network. This survey report will be used for further research on implementation of public key cryptography over sensor network.

Implementation of Real-time Virtual Touch Recognition System in Embedded System (임베디드 환경에서 실시간 가상 터치 인식 시스템의 구현)

  • We can implement the virtual touch recognition system by mounting the virtual touch algorithm into an embedded device connected to a depth camera. Since the computing performance is limited in embedded system, the real-time processing of recognizing the virtual touch is difficult when the resolution of the depth image is large. In order to resolve the problem, this paper improves the algorithms of binarization and labeling that occupy a lot of time in all processing of virtual touch recognition. It processes the binarization and labeling in only necessary regions rather than all of the picture. By appling the proposed algorithm, the system can recognize the virtual touch in real-time as about 31ms per a frame in the depth image that has 640×480 resolution.

  • As the internet communication is prevalent in recent years, it becomes quite possible to monitor and control some mechanical plants from the remote place through the TCP/IP communication. Such a concept is expected to be applied to many industrial systems fur easy maintenance and trouble shooting as well as various kinds of expensive test equipments fo. sharing. Synthetic jet actuate.(SJA) is a kind of high-lifting device to prevent flow separation at high angle of attack and its use for flow control has received a great amount of attention. In this research, remote control and data monitoring system for SJA wind tunnel test is implemented by TCP/IP communication with DSP as a embedded web server. From the tests performed with embedded server, it showed the possibility of reliable remote control system design utilizing the internet communication.

  • Currently many sensors and processing data in a robot based on USN environments need to real-time features. In this paper, we examine recent research trends on real-time operating systems, especially on real-time embedded Linux, RTAI and Xenomai, for intelligent robots. Xenomai is a real-time development framework and have special feature supporting RTAI, VxWorks, pSOS+ etc. through the "skin". This research gives a guide to researcher in using real-time embedded Linux in the sense of architecture, supporting real-time mechanisms, kinds of real-time device driver, performances.

  • 대부분의 embedded system에서 hard-disk 대용으로 flash memory를 사용하고 있으며, flash device에 압축 커널이미지와 root file system image를 가지고 있다. Booting 고정 중 커널의 압축이 풀리고 메모리에 로드되어 제어를 넘겨받으면 flash memory 상에 존재하는 root file system image를 ramdisk의 image로 로드하여 시스템은 결국 ramdisk에 root file system을 가지게 된다. Ramdisk 상의 프로그램을 실행하기 위해 메모리로 실행파일 이미지를 copy하는 과정을 피하고 ramdisk 상의 이미지를 바로 프로세스의 virtual memory area에 직접 매핑 시켜 주는 XIP(eXection-In-Place)를 구현함으로써 많은 메모리 절감 효과를 얻을 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 ramdisk를 root file system으로 사용하는 embedded system에서의 XIP 구조를 설계하고 구현하였다.

  • In this study, we explain the process and the technique required for implementing web-based remote control system based on embedded processor, SAl110, and embedded Linux. At first. cross-compile environment for target system should be constructed on host computer, and bootloader in charge of Linux booting may be loaded on the target system. Then, kernel image is compiled and loaded on the target system. Embedded Linux porting process is completed when ram disk image is generated. Finally, we load wed-server and device driver on the ram disk and make web-page for remote control using CGI. Through the above process, we implement web-based remote control system and present the result.

  • In this study, composite $BaSrTiO_3$ has been studied for high frequency device applications. Composite $Ba_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}TiO_3$ has high dielectric permittivity and low loss tangent at the relative frequency range from MHz to GHz. 10,30 and 50 wt% of epoxy doped $Ba_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}TiO_3$ powders were prepared with bisphenol A and F polymer employing ball milling process. Epoxy/($BaSrTiO_3$) composites thick films were screen printed on the Cu plated PCB substrates through screen printing methods. The specimens were designed for the embedded capacitor applications. Temperature dependent dielectric permittivity of Epoxy doped $BaSrTiO_3$ ceramics was measured.

  • Hand carried computing machinery and tools have been developed into an embedded system which the small footprint operating system is contained internally. Windows CE which is one of imbedded operating system is a lightweight, multithreaded operating system with an optional graphical user interface. Its strength lies in its small size, its Win32 subset API, and its multiplatform support. Therefore we choose to port this OS on Arm based board that is provided high performance, low cost, and low power consumption. In this paper, we describe the architecture of ARM based board, the feature of Windows CE, techniques and steps involved in this porting process.

  • This paper describes a scheme of motor control for Quadcopter with Android phone instead of a dedicated controller. Basically, user's requests (channel and speed) are inquired and transferred to the Quadcopter with Android phone, then the embedded Linux system receives them and controls the motor speed of corresponding channel. We have designed and implemented an App. for user interface and the modules of device driver and timer ISR for the motor control. Finally, we have up-loaded the App. and the modules to an Android (ver.4.0) phone and ARM processor (S3C6410)-based embedded board respectively, and reviewed the functional correctness by testing the motor control of Quadcopter.
