  • This research aims to develop a DNA chip array without an indicator. We fabricated a microelectrode array through photolithography technology. Several DNA probes were immobilized on an electrode. Then, target DNA was hybridized and measured electrochemically. Cyclic-voltammograms (CVs) showed a difference between the DNA probe and mismatched DNA in an anodic peak. This indicator-free DNA chip resulted in a sequence-specific detection of the target DNA.

  • Bi-2212 and Bi-2223 thin films are prepared by IBS(ion beam sputtering) technique. Three phases of Bi-2201, Bi-2212 and Bi-2223 appear as stable ones in spite of the conditions for thin film fabrication of Bi-2212 and Bi-2223 compositions, depending on substrate temperature (T $_{sub}$) and ozone pressure(PO$_3$). It is found out that these phases are limited within very narrow temperature.e.

  • We have fabricated superconducting HTSC ceramic thick films by chemical process. c-axis oriented HTSC thick films have been attempted bi-axially textured Ni tapes. The x-ray diffraction pattern of the HTSC thick films contained superconducting phase crystal. The critical temperature and critical current density was 110K.

  • The regularities of immobilization of natural medicinal substances - alchidine on gels of poly(vinyl alcohol) - are investigated. It is shown that the polymer components of alchidine interact with nonionic polymer with formation of interpolymer complexes. The influence of the different factors on the properties of complexes is considered and the constants of alchidine distribution in the system gel - water are calculated.

  • The relation between electrical properties of YBaCuO ceramic superconductor and externally applied magnetic field was studied. Electrical characteristics of the superconductor with trapped magnetic fluxes are extremely sensitive to the external magnetic field and show the different responses which depend on the direction of the magnetic field. Considering these properties of the superconductor with trapped magnetic fluxes, a magnetic sensor is fabricated. This sensor is able to detect simultaneously both the intensity and the direction of the magnetic field. The sensitivity of the sensor is less than 10$^{-4} T.

  • Phase intergrowth in BSCCO thin films has been Investigated. It turfed out from XRD analyses of these phases that molar fraction of each constituent phase in the intergrowth thin film can be exhibited as a function of substrate temperature and ozone pressure. Super- conducting behavior of the intergrowth thin aim Is also discussed.

  • Recent development of electronic commerce enables the use of Electronic Stock Trading Systems(ESTS) to be expanded. In ESTS, information with various sensitivity levels is shared by multiple users with mutually different clearance levels. Therefore, it is necessary to use Multilevel Secure Database Management Systems(MLS/DBMSs) in controlling concurrent execution among multiple transactions. In ESTS, not only analytical OLAP transactions, but also mission critical OLTP transactions are executed concurrently, which causes it difficult to adapt traditional secure transaction management schemes to ESTS environments. In this paper, we propose Secure One Snapshot(SOS) protocol that is devised for Secure Transaction Management in ESTS. By maintaining additional one snapshot as well as working database SOS blocks covert-channel efficiently, enables various real-time transaction management schemes to be adapted with ease, and reduces the length of waiting queue being managed to maintain freshness of data by utilizing the characteristics of less strict correctness criteria. In this paper, we introduce the process of SOS protocol with some examples, and then analyze correctness of devised protocol.

  • The electronic wedge brake is one of the brake-by-wire systems with a self-energizing effect. The electronic wedge brake has faster response than the conventional hydraulic brake and requires only about one-tenth the power to operate. However, the electronic wedge brake cannot be implemented unless the self-energizing effect is reliably controlled. The self-energizing mechanisms may result in unintentional lock up and are very sensitive to environment and parametric variations of the friction coefficient. In this study, the electronic wedge brake is modeled into dynamic equations, and a sliding mode controller is designed based on the model. The performance of the proposed controller is verified in simulations.

  • In this paper, we investigated the island density-dependent stress distribution of indium-tin-oxide (ITO) film on polycarbonate substrate by external bending force. We used e-beam and RFsputter for SiON, ITO sputtering. It was found that there are influence of island density on the substrate and decreasing crack density as goes to the minimum density. From the result that crack density was increasing at maximum island density, it is evident that more stress is imposed on same island position as island density.

  • The GUIDEC I was published in November 1997 by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and then the GUIDEC was published in October 2000 in the name of GUIDEC II. The GUIDEC II is the next version of GUIDEC I. This paper examines the electronic authentication and certification practices under GUIDEC II in detail. Therefore, this paper can help parties concerned to understand electronic authentication and certification practices of electronic commerce. GUIDEC II maintains the content of GUIDEC I, but GUIDEC II adds some new definitions such as authenticating a message and explains the rights and responsibility of subscribers, certifiers, and relying parties in detail. The aim of the GUIDEC II is to enhance the ability of international business community to execute trustworthy digital transactions utilizing legal principles that promote reliable digital authentication and certification practice.
