  • The real-time holographic interferometer with a digital high-speed camera is applied to the visualization of transient temperature field. Collimated and diffused laser beams are used to the object beam according to the shape and transmittance of the phase object. Also, ESPI(Electronic Speckle Speckle Pattern Interferometer) technique is used to the visualization and quantitatie measurement of slow-varying temperature field. The experimental results obtained form these two techniques are discussed.

  • In this paper, radial sheared eletronic shearopgraphy was studied in order to measure vibration characteristics of circular or radial symmetric objects. We calculated amplitude of vibration by using eletro-optic holography theory, and utilized a porror prism for optical arrangement of sheared two images in this experiment. In this case, the data measured by shearing interferometer give us a distribution of the gradient of vibration amplitude. This developed system is applied to symmetical objects such as fans of airconditioner and circular plates to test vibration characteristics.

  • This paper presents a holography through high scatter mediums. Femtosecond light pulses are used as object light and reference light. When light passes through a high scatter medium, there are ballistic light, snake light and difussive light in transmitting light. However, ballistic and snake light are very weak, difussive light is very stronge so that they can not be imaged directly, By using femtosecond laser electronic holographic gating method to gate ballistic light and snake light and multi-holograms processing technology, high quality images can be obtained. • Guaranteeing interoperability between devices and applications is the core role of standards organizations. Since its first JPEG standard in 1992, the Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) has published several image coding standards that have been successful in a plethora of imaging markets. Recently, these markets have become subject to potentially disruptive innovations owing to the rise of new imaging modalities such as light fields, point clouds, and holography. These so-called plenoptic modalities hold the promise of facilitating a more efficient and complete representation of 3D scenes when compared to classic 2D modalities. However, due to the heterogeneity of plenoptic products that will hit the market, serious interoperability concerns have arisen. In this paper, we particularly focus on the holographic modality and outline how the JPEG committee has addressed these tremendous challenges. We discuss the main use cases and provide a preliminary list of requirements. In addition, based on the discussion of real-valued and complex data representations, we elaborate on potential coding technologies that range from approaches utilizing classical 2D coding technologies to holographic content-aware coding solutions. Finally, we address the problem of visual quality assessment of holographic data covering both visual quality metrics and subjective assessment methodologies.

  • We propose a new 2-step phase-shifting digital holographic optical encryption technique and analyze tolerance error for this cipher system. 2-step phase-shifting digital holograms are acquired by moving the PZT mirror with phase step of 0 or ${\pi}$/2 in the reference beam path of the Mach-Zehnder type interferometer. Digital hologram with the encrypted information is Fourier transform hologram and is recorded on CCD camera with 256 gray-level quantized intensities. The decryption performance of binary bit data and image data is analyzed by considering error factors. One of the most important errors is quantization error in detecting the digital hologram intensity on CCD. The more the number of quantization error pixels and the variation of gray-level increase, the more the number of error bits increases for decryption. Computer experiments show the results to be carried out encryption and decryption with the proposed method and the graph to analyze the tolerance of the quantization error in the system.

  • In this paper, a new approach is proposed for the efficient generation of computer-generated holograms (CGHs) using the spatially redundant data on a 3D object and the novel look-up table (N-LUT) method. First, the pre-calculated N-point principle fringe patterns (PFPs) were calculated using the 1-point PFP of the N-LUT. Second, spatially redundant data on a 3D object were extracted and re-grouped into the N-point redundancy map using the run-length encoding (RLE) method. Then CGH patterns were generated using the spatial redundancy map and the N-LUT method. Finally, the generated hologram patterns were reconstructed. In this approach, the object points that were involved in the calculation of the CGH patterns were dramatically reduced, due to which the computational speed was increased. Some experiments with a test 3D object were carried out and the results were compared with those of conventional methods.

  • We have investigated the holographic grating formation on Ag-doped amorphous chalcogenide AsGeSeS thin films with Ag thickness. Holographic gratings have been formed using Diode Pumped Solid State laser (DPSS, 532.0nm) under [P:P] polarized the intensity polarization holography. The diffraction efficiency was obtained by +1st order intensity.

  • Recently, a new technique called Electronic Speckle Pattern Inteferometry(ESPI) has been developed to overcome the drawbacks of existing holography. This technique enable real-time interference fringes to be displayed directly on TV monitor without recourse to any form of photographic processing. This research was carried out for the purpose of applying the vibration analysis method employing Electronic Speckle Pattern Interference technique to the vibration analysis of uniform rectangular cantilever plate, The natural vibration frequencies found by ESPI were in fair agreement with theoretical eigen frequencies acquired using theoretical formula G. B. Warburton proposed.

  • In this paper, a new method to efficiently generate the holographic news ticker in holographic 3DTV or 3-D movies using N-LUT method is proposed. The proposed method is largely consisted of five steps: construction of the LUT for each character, extraction of characters in news ticker, generation and shift of the CGH pattern for news ticker using the LUT, composition of hologram pattern for 3-D video and news ticker and reconstruct the holographic 3D video with news ticker. From some simulation results confirmed the feasibility of the proposed method in fast generation of CGH patterns for holographic news ticker.
