  • In this paper we study on the semiconductor characteristic by calculating the variation of reflection function in microstrip lines, which has open-ended termination containing an optically induced plasma region. The variation of impedances resulting from the presence of plasma has evaluated with time and frequency domain. The responses have been also evaluated theoretically for changing the phase of the variation in the reflection.

  • The realization and origin of p-type ZnO are main issue for photoelectronic devices based on ZnO material. N-doped and nominally undoped p-type ZnO films were achieved on silicon (100) and homo-buffer layers by RF magnetron sputtering and post in-situ annealing. The undoped film shows high hole mobility of 1201 $cm^2V^{-1}s^{-1}$ and low resistivity of $0.0454\Omega{\cdot}cm$ with hole concentration of $1.145\times10^{17}cm^{-3}$. The photoluminescence(PL) spectra show the emissions related to FE, DAP and defects of $V_{Zn}$, $V_O$, $Zn_O$, $O_i$ and $O_{Zn}$.

  • Electroluminescence is occurred by electric filed located in the phosphor. Until now most of EL researched have been studied the characteristics of devices that drive over 400Hz and commercialized, but in Problems of life time, natural aging increased with behavior of high frequency in the phosphor. In this paper, we investigated the luminescence characteristics were driven by low frequency($0{\sim}100Hz$). Moreover, we Presented the improvement way in the method device production and drive power as measurement at commercial frequency(60Hz).

  • Nanoparticles-induced vertical alignment (NIVA) in the liquid crystal (LC) devices was observed and has been applied successfully on fabricating the hybrid-aligned nematic LC cells and guest-host LC cells. In this talk, we will discuss the characteristics of the electric and optical properties of NIVA-LC cells with different dopant concentrations and demonstrate that nanoparticles can be spin-coated on the substrate at a low temperature.

  • As more vehicles become equipped with advanced electronic control systems, more consideration is needed with regards to automotive safety issues related to the effects of electromagnetic waves. Unwanted electromagnetic waves from the antenna, electricity and other electronic devices cause the performance and safety problem of automotive components. In general, Power Integrity and Signal Integrity analysis have been widely used, but these analyses have stayed PCB level. PCB base analysis is different from radiated emission TEST condition so its results are used just for reference. This paper proposes EMC optimization technology using module level 3-dimensional radiation simulation process closed to fundamental test conditions. If module level EMC analysis, which is proposed in this study, is applied to all automotive electronics systems, unexpected EMC noise will be prevented.

  • Lightning surge damages of low voltage equipments in building are increasing due to increase in electrical and communication networks in the information-oriented society. And electronic equipments contained electrical circuits with semiconductor are very weak against lightning surge. The surge protective devices for electronic circuit in electronic equipments and AC power lines are becoming more widely. To achieve effective method of surge protection, there are needs for correlation between lightning surge protective effect of electronic equipment and installation method of surge protective device. This paper describes as a result of experiments for correlation between lightning surge protective effect and installation of surge protective device and Earth Leakage Breaker.

  • This paper has been researched bondability of electronic devices, such as lead frame and thick film of Ag/Pd on an alumina substrate by different heat sources. To obtain the bonds with high quality, it is very important to control both the thermal distribution of the bonds and it stability, because electronics components is consist of different materials. Therefore, this paper clarifies not only heat mechanism of micro parallel gap resistance bonding method and pulse heat tip bonding method but also investigates selection of heat sources with micro-electronic materials for bonding. Finally, it is realzed fluxless bonding process with filler metal such as plating layers.

  • The main issue relating to electronic bill of lading is to develop the system in which can transfer the title to the goods by electronically, and to support effect of electronic transfer of title by law. BBL, electronic bill of lading being operated by bolero, provides technical devices to that purpose, but current law is not recognize the effect of transfer of title by electronic communication because BBL is different from paper bill of lading naturally. For that reason Bolero has resolved the problem by Rulebook which is multilateral agreement contracted between users and BAL. The Rulebook provides solution, so called, 'attornment' and 'novation'. So, The purpose of this study is to help in understanding BBL through comparison and analysis about the legal background of transfer of title by BBL based on 'attornment' and 'novation' with transfer of bill of lading based on a endorsement and delivery.

  • Orderings and electronic structures of organic molecules on metal substrates have been studied due to possible applications in electronic devices. In molecular systems, delocalized pi-electrons play important roles in the adsorption behaviors and electronic structures. We studied the adsorption and electronic structures of Co-Porphyrin molecules on Au(111) using scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and spectroscopy (STS) at low temperature. Molecules form closely packed two-dimensional islands on Au(111) surface with two different types, having different shape evolutions in our energy-dependent STM observations. The Kondo resonance state, occurred by spin exchange interaction between the Co center atom and conduction electrons in the metal substrate, was observed in one type, while it was absent in the other type in scanning tunneling spectroscopy measurements. Possible origins of two molecular shapes will be discussed.

  • Carbon Nanotube (CNT) have been intensively investigated since they have been considered as building blocks of nanoscience and nanotechnology. Theoretical and computational studies on CNTs have revealed their physical and chemical properties and helped researchers build various experimental devices to study them in depth. However, there have been only few systematic studies on detailed changes in electronic structures of CNTs due to geometrical structure modifications. In this regard, it is necessary to perform systematic investigations of the modifications in electronic structures of CNTs, as their geometrical configurations are altered, using the first-principles density functional theory. In other words, it is essential to determine the true equilibrium structure of CNTs. In this work, we considered the different atomic configurations by maintaining their symmetries, but changing all the inequivalent bonding types one by one. Furthermore, as for CNTs, for example, the way the graphene sheet is wrapped is represented by a pair of indices (n,m) and electronic structures of CNTs vary depending on different indices. Our results suggest all the significant couplings between electronic and geometric structures in CNTs.
