  • Management systems for electronic library have been developed on the basis of Client/Server or ASP framework in domestic market for a long time. Therefore, both service provider and user suffer from their high cost and effort in management, maintenance, and repairing of software as well as hardware. Recently in addition, mobile devices like smartphone and tablet PC are frequently used as terminal devices to access computers through the Internet or other networks, sophisticatedly customized or personalized interface for n-screen service became more important issue these days. In this paper, we propose a new scheme of integrated management system for electronic library based on SaaS and Web Standard. We design and implement the proposed scheme applying Electronic Cabinet Guidelines for Web Standard and Universal Code System. Hosted application management style and software on demand style service models based on SaaS are basically applied to develop the management system. Moreover, a newly improved concept of duplication check algorithm in a hierarchical evaluation process is presented and a personalized interface based on web standard is applied to implement the system. Algorithms of duplication check for journal, volume/number, and paper are hierarchically presented with their logic flows. Total framework of our development obeys the standard feature of Electronic Cabinet Guidelines offered by Korea government so that we can accomplish standard of application software, quality improvement of total software, and reusability extension. Scope of our development includes core services of library automation system such as acquisition, list-up, loan-and-return, and their related services. We focus on interoperation compatibility between elementary sub-systems throughout complex network and structural features. Reanalyzing and standardizing each part of the system under the concept on the cloud of service, we construct an integrated development environment for generating, test, operation, and maintenance. Finally, performance analyses are performed about resource usability of server, memory amount used, and response time of server etc. As a result of measurements fulfilled over 5 times at different test points and using different data, the average response time is about 62.9 seconds for 100 clients, which takes about 0.629 seconds per client on the average. We can expect this result makes it possible to operate the system in real-time level proof. Resource usability and memory occupation are also good and moderate comparing to the conventional systems. As total verification tests, we present a simple proof to obey Electronic Cabinet Guidelines and a record of TTA authentication test for topics about SaaS maturity, performance, and application program features.

  • Smart appliances with multi-media and telecommunication equipments provide users complicated convenience functions. On the contrary, 8-bit controller-based low performance electronics still cannot afford such multimedia and telecommunication. If we find a way to have low-end electronics connected and provide complicated functions, they can be also made "smart". Fortunately, 8-bit controllers used in low-end appliances have UART, which can be connected to any of BlueTooth, Wi-Fi and ZigBee communication modules which can, in turn, communicate with smart devices. Any communication module can be attached to the low-end electronics due to the variety of smart devices' connectivity at the other side. Although the convenience functions seem complicated, they are actually macros in a script form composed of micro commands which implement the base functions of appliances. Since the kinds of the base functions are not that many, the low-end electronic appliances will become "smart" if their control program can be extended to execute sequentially the micro commands in any combination. Such simple innovation has not seen the world, until now due to the overhead of the additionally required hardware such as display devices and buttons. The high-quality display and touch screen functionalities of smart devices can replace the required hardware, and remove the overhead completely. In fact, the low-end appliances become smart as if an "evolution kit" is newly equipped.

  • The fullerene solar cells are becoming a feasible choice due to the advanced developments in donor materials and improved fabrication techniques of devices. Recently, sufficient optimization and improvements in the processing techniques like incorporation of solvent vapor annealing (SVA) with additives in solvents has become a major cause of prominent improvements in the performance of organic solar cell-based devices . On the other hand, the challenge of reduced open circuit voltage (Voc) remains. This study presents an approach for significant performance improvement of overall device based on organic small molecular solar cells (SMSCs) by following a two step technique that comprises thermal annealing (TA) and SVA (abbreviated as SVA+TA). In case of exclusive use of SVA, reduction in Voc can be eliminated in an effective way. The characteristics of charge carriers can be determined by the measurement of transient photo-voltage (TPV) and transient photo-current (TPC) that determines the scope for improvement in the performance of device by two step annealing. The recovery of reduced Voc is linked with the necessary change in the dynamics of charge that lead to increased overall performance of device. Moreover, SVA and TA complement each other; therefore, two step annealing technique is an appropriate way to simultaneously improve the parameters such as Voc, fill factor (FF), short circuit current density (Jsc) and PCE of small molecular solar cells.

  • This paper presents an overview of selected advanced measurement technologies for the mechanical properties of polymers used for flexible and stretchable electronic packaging. Over the years, a variety of flexible and stretchable electronics have been developed due to their potential applications for next generation IT industry. To achieve more flexible and wearable devices for practical applications, the usage of polymeric components has been increased significantly. Therefore, accurate measurement of mechanical properties of the polymers is necessary in order to design mechanically reliable devices. However, the measurement has been challenging due to the soft nature and thin applications of polymers. Here, we describe novel measurement technologies of mechanical properties of polymers for flexible and stretchable electronics.

  • An integrated simulation tool for multilayer stepped pyramidal structures is presented. The tool, based on a semi-analytical mathematical strategy, is able to calculate the temperature distributions and thermal stresses at the interfaces between the layers of such structures. The core of the thermal solver is the analytical simulator for power electronic devices, DJOSER, which has been supplemented with a mechanical solver based on the finite-element method. To this end, a new ele-ment is proposed whose geometry is defined by its mean surface and thickness, just as in a plate. The resulting mechanical model is fully three-dimensional, in the sense that the deformability in the direction orthogonal to the mean surface is taken into account. The dedicated finite element code developed for solving the equilibrium problem of structures made up of two or more superimposed plates subjected to thermal loads is applied to some two-layer samples made of silicon and copper. Comparisons performed with the results of standard finite element analyses using a large number of brick elements reveal the soundness of the strategy employed and the accuracy of the tool developed.

  • This paper describes the fabrication and characteristics of Schottky micro hydrogen sensors for high temperatures by using polycrystalline(poly) 3C - SiC thin film grown on Si substrates with thermal oxide layer using APCVD. Pd/poiy 3C-SiC Schottky diodes were made and evaluated by I-V and C-V measurements. Electric current density and barrier height voltage were $2\times10^{-3}\;A/cm^2$ and 0.58 eV, respectively. These devices could operate stably at about $400^{\circ}C$. According to $H_2$ concentrations, their barrier height($\Phi_{Bn}$) were changed 0.587 eV, 0.579 eV, 0.572 eV and 0.569 eV, respectively. the current was increased. Characteristics of implemented sensors have been investigated in terms of sensitivity, linearity of response, response rate and response time. Therefore, from these results, Pd/poly 3C-SiC Schottky devices have very high potential for high temperature chemical sensor applications.

  • Simultaneous control of blowers and heat exchangers affecting the air sealing and flow conditions inside the green house is essential to the management of $CO_2$ concentration. Currently, the demand for automation systems and integrated control is steadily increasing according to increasing of farm areas per person due to the reduction of agricultural population. This paper proposes the integrated control system that can control simultaneously the existing devices such as measurement switching devices which are important variables in the supply of $CO_2$, $CO_2$ generator fuel and combustion air mixture ratio(air-to-fuel ratio), and $CO_2$ supply control under internal and external conditions.
