Rule-Based Cooperation of Distributed EC Systems

  • Emergent requests or urgent information among enterprises require their intimate collaboration in B2B EC (electronic commerce). This paper analyzes the needs of intimate cooperation of distributed EC systems in terms of business contracts and presents an active rule-based methodology of close cooperation among EC systems and an active rule component to support it. Since the rule component provides high level rule patterns and event-based immediate processing, system administrators and programmers can easily program and maintain intimate cooperation of distributed EC systems independently to the application logic. The proposed active rule component facilitates HTTP protocol. Its prototype is implemented in B2B EC environment and evaluated using basic trigger facility of a commercial DBMS.

Image Classification Method Using Proposed Grey Block Distance Algorithm for Independent Component Analysis and Principal Component Analysis (주성분분석과 독립성분분석에서의 제안된 GBD 알고리즘을 이용한 영상분류 방법)

  • 본 논문에서는 다중해상도에서 기존의 그레이 블록 거리(grey block distance; GBD, 이하 GBD)알고리즘과 비교하여 이차원 영상간의 상대적 식별을 더 용이하게 하기 위한 새로운 GBD 알고리즘 방법을 제안한다. 이 제시된 방법은 다중해상도에서 기존의 GBD 알고리즘과 비교해서 영상이 급격히 변화하는 부분의 정보를 잃지 않게 개선할 수 있었다. 모의 실험 예로서 주성분분석(principal component analysis; 이하 PCA)기법과 독립성분분석(independent component analysis; 이하 ICA)기법을 적용하여 유용성과 제안된 방법이 이전의 연구보다 k가 감소할 때 편차는 줄어들어 좋은 영상 분류 특징을 보였으며, ICA가 PCA에 비하여 영상간의 상대적 식별을 용이하게 하여 빨리 수렴이 되는 것을 모의 실험을 통하여 확인하였다.

Recognition of Road Surface Marks and Numbers Using Connected Component Analysis and Size Normalization (연결 성분 분석과 크기 정규화를 이용한 도로 노면 표시와 숫자 인식)

  • This paper proposes a new method for the recognition of road surface marks and numbers. The proposed method designates a region of interest on the road surface without first detecting a lane. The road surface markings are extracted by location and size using a connection component analysis. Distortion due to the perspective effect is minimized by normalizing the size of the road markings. The road surface marking of the connected component is recognized by matching it with the stored road marking templates. The proposed method is implemented using C language in Raspberry Pi 4 system with a camera module for a real-time image processing. The system was fixedly installed in a moving vehicle, and it recorded a video like a vehicle black box. Each frame of the recorded video was extracted, and then the proposed method was tested. The results show that the proposed method is successful for the recognition of road surface marks and numbers.

  • Internal replaceable electronic module substitutions can impact EMC (ElectroMagnetic Compatibility) qualification testing and results if EMC testing is conducted at the cabinet level. The impact of component substitutions on EMC qualification results therefore should be evaluated. If a qualitative evaluation is not adequate to ensure that the modified product will not impact the cabinet level EMC qualification results, a new qualification testing should be conducted. Component level retesting should be conducted under electromagnetically equivalent conditions with the cabinet level test. This paper analyzes the propagation of conducted susceptibility test waveforms in a representative cabinet and evaluates the impact of component substitutions on cabinet level EMC qualification results according to the location of the replacement items. A guideline for a qualitative evaluation of the impact of component substitutions is described based on the propagation of the conducted susceptibility test waveforms. A module level test method is also described based on an analysis of the shielding effectiveness of the cabinet.

Multi-Face Detection on static image using Principle Component Analysis

  • For face recognition system, a face detector which can find exact face region from complex image is needed. Many face detection algorithms have been developed under the assumption that background of the source image is quite simple . this means that face region occupy more than a quarter of the area of the source image or the background is one-colored. Color-based face detection is fast but can't be applicable to the images of which the background color is similar to face color. And the algorithm using neural network needs so many non-face data for training and doesn't guarantee general performance. In this paper, A multi-scale, multi-face detection algorithm using PCA is suggested. This algorithm can find most multi-scaled faces contained in static images with small number of training data in reasonable time.

Refractive Indexes of Porous Thin Films Prepared From Organic-templated Polymethylsilsesquioxanes

  • Organosilyl-modified and star-shaped poly (${\varepsilon}$-caprolactone) (m-PCL) was prepared, and added to polymethylsilsesquioxane (PMSSQ), to make composites. The end groups of m-PCL are chemically similar to PMSSQ, and m-PCL mixed well with PMSSQ in the composite. Porous PMSSQ film was made by further calcination of the composite film at elevated temperature. m-PCL-templated PMSSQ and the as-prepared porous PMSSQ were structurally, optically, and thermally characterized in thin films. The chemical binding of m-PCL and PMSSQ effectively suppressed the phase separation of PMSSQ and m-PCL during the curing process. After calcination at elevated temperature, there remained many pores in the PMSSQ matrix. The refractive indices of the resulting porous PMSSQ thin films decreased with increase of the film porosities, depending on the initial m-PCL loadings.

  • This paper presents the analysis of the gate-source voltage of the gallium nitride high electronic mobility transistor (GaN HEMT) in the half bridge structure focused on the mutual effects of two switching operation. Especially low side gate-source voltage is analyzed mathematically according to the high side switch turn-on and turn-off operation. Moreover, the influence of each gate resistance and parasitic component on the switching characteristic of other side switch is investigated, and the formula, simulation and experimental results are compared with theoretical data.

A Study on the Technological Competitiveness of Aircraft Infra Industries by using Patents (특허분석을 통한 항공기반산업의 기술경쟁력에 관한 연구)

  • This paper considers the technological competitiveness of aircraft infra industries that are bases of the aircraft industry development in Korea. We performed focus group interviews to aircraft industry specialists and classified the aircraft infra industries by eight fields: metallurgical assembly, general machinery, precision instruments, materials & parts, communication appliances, computer, semi-conductor/ electronic component, electronics. Through the United States patents analysis for the G7 countries and Korea during 1995-2006, we identified the technological specificities and competences of each country. RTA(Revealed Technology Advantage) index and CII(Current Impact Index) are used to examine the technological specificity and technological competence respectively. Finally, we introduced TCI(Technological Competitiveness Index) which could reflect quantitative level as well as qualitative level of patents for each aircraft infra industry. The results show that Korea has occupied the technological competitiveness in the semi-conductor and electronic component industry out of eight aircraft infra industries, and achieved a competitive edge in communication appliance industry in the mid 2000s.

A Study on the Magnetic Properties of Medicinal Ointments by Mossbauer Spectroscopy. (뫼스바우어 분광법에 의한 의약용 연고제의 자기적 특성 연구)

  • The stability of the properties of magnetite particles in novel medicinal magnetic ointments of multipurpose application was examined by Mossbauer spectroscopy. Comparative analysis of the results obtained by model fitting of $\^$57/Fe nuclei spectra with those known for the system Fe$_3$O$_4$-${\gamma}$-Fe$_2$O$_3$ allowed to identify the phase composition of the particles. This composition, as well as that of the initial pure component in the form of a highly dispersed fraction (∼ 100${\AA}$), differs noticeably from the stoichiometric one. Despite their small sizes, the particles exhibit no superparamagnetism ( in the temperature range from 95 to 300k ). Radiative sterilization of the ointments has no effect on the magnetic component composition.

  • In this paper, we apply several pattern recognition algorithms to emotion recognition system with speech signal and compare the results. Firstly, we need emotional speech databases. Also, speech features for emotion recognition are determined on the database analysis step. Secondly, recognition algorithms are applied to these speech features. The algorithms we try are artificial neural network, Bayesian learning, Principal Component Analysis, LBG algorithm. Thereafter, the performance gap of these methods is presented on the experiment result section.
