Preceding Vehicle Detection and Tracking with Motion Estimation by Radar-vision Sensor Fusion (레이더와 비전센서 융합기반의 움직임추정을 이용한 전방차량 검출 및 추적)

  • In this paper, we propose a method for preceding vehicle detection and tracking with motion estimation by radar-vision sensor fusion. The motion estimation proposed results in not only correction of inaccurate lateral position error observed on a radar target, but also adaptive detection and tracking of a preceding vehicle by compensating the changes in the geometric relation between the ego-vehicle and the ground due to the driving. Furthermore, the feature-based motion estimation employed to lessen computational burden reduces the number of deployment of the vehicle validation procedure. Experimental results prove that the correction by the proposed motion estimation improves the performance of the vehicle detection and makes the tracking accurate with high temporal consistency under various road conditions.

  • Using the wireless communication among unacquainted vehicles, an intelligent vehicle safety system can be constructed to exchange vehicle safety-related information, such as urgency stop, traffic accident and road obstacles. In the majority of vehicle safety applications, vehicle safety messages are propagated in the form of broadcast. However, this approach causes some effectiveness and performance problems with massive radio collision, multi-hop propagation. This paper presents a priority based relay node selection method for propagating vehicle safety messages of traffic accident protection system. With this method, vehicle safety messages are relayed by a node that locates in proper distance out of the nodes that are included in the radio transmission range. By decreasing the number of duplicated messages, the packet overhead is lessened while the communication performance is raised. The proposed method was proven to be better than other schemes through network simulations.

  • Lately, becausing Life, property loss from car accident, vehicles have been used vehicle blackbox like blackbox by airplane. when the accident happened, existing car blackbox that was stored external image or video of vehicle don't know the vehicle's driving conditions. For knowing vehicle's driving conditions, vehicle is loaded sensors for Variety of measurement and control. the sensors is controlled by ECU(Electronic Control Unit) and all vehicles is used Mandatory OBD2(On-board diagnostics) protocol for communication between ECUs since 2006. Using ODB2 protocol, driver use blackbox data by various driving data to occur vehicle' ECU and can be obtained more definitive information. In this paper, there implement smart blackbox system to use exact vehicle's data using OBD2 protocol rather than blackbox to store external image or video.

  • This paper is a study on integrated air-conditioning system for 1-ton class commercial vehicle based on electric vehicle. In the case of an electric commercial vehicle, since the opening and closing of the door is frequently performed in order to get in and out of the cargo, the heat loss largely occurs. Therefore, the heating and cooling load is required to be larger than the electric vehicle. As a result, the energy consumed by the heating and cooling system is larger than the passenger electric car in order to satisfy the heat comfort required by passengers. In order to overcome these disadvantages, we performed research using an efficient integrated air conditioning system. Finally, the design and analysis of a heat pump system for heating and a electrical compressor for cooling need to be proceed to develop a high-efficiency air conditioning system for improving the commerciality of 1 ton-class electric trucks and expanding the industrial ecosystem in the electric truck sector.

  • The small electric vehicles equipped with V2X(vehicle to everything) systems may provide more information and function to the existing navigation system of the vehicle. The key components of V2X technology include V2V (vehicle to vehicle), V2N(vehicle to network) and V2I (vehicle to infrastructure). This study is to design and implementation of VI type E-PTO which is interfaced with external equipments, the work designs the components of E-PTO such as DC/DC converter, DC/AC converter, battery bidirectional charging system etc. Also, it implements the devices and control systems for driving. The test results of VI type E-PTO components showed allowable 10% requirements of transient voltage variation rate and recovery time within 100ms for start/stop and normal operation.

  • The object of this study is to develop an cooling control algorithm for electronics devices of the electric vehicle. In order to estimate the existing cooling control logic of the electronic devices for the small and medium sized electric vehicle, the experiments on the coolant temperature variation of the cooling system were conducted under 4 different seasons conditions. As a result, the existing cooling control logic were overcooled when it was compared with the reference temperature for a required cooling load. In addition, the newly developed optimum cooling control logic for improving the mileages of the tested electric vehicle with consideration of the ambient temperature, vehicle speed, and refrigerant temperature of the air conditioning on/off is necessary.

  • In this paper, we plan to design and manufacture a new sleeping child check system using image and PIR sensors. Therefore, it plans to implement a system that can prevent in-vehicle accidents that can occur due to presence of human and certain temperature inside the vehicle by collecting data from PIR sensors and temperature sensors with the main control device based on Arduino. In addition, the values of sensors can be linked with Bluetooth communication or Wi-Fi communication to send information to the mobile phone, and the sensor values can be printed by texting on the screen. It also plans to use raspberry pie and camera modules to build a display and smartphone streaming service inside the vehicle. Through this, the objective of this study is to prevent safety accidents in school vehicles by making experiments and research in this paper recognize 100% inside the vehicle with the quantitative goal of PIR sensors.

  • Recently vehicle development trend changes from machinery vehicle to the electrical and electronic devices. As well the electrical and electronic devices commercial vehicles are increasing more than machinery system. The capacitance fuel sensor is a sensor that, by measuring the capacitance value of fuel level sensor MCU operating for the final voltage value of the signal output. That is increasing durability and fuel measurement accuracy more than conventional ceramic resistor type. For Sensor software verification R-BENCH TOOL generated test case automatically. We make the programmable Capacitor board for test. And it was confirmed that more than 98% of the high reliability of the software.

  • A neural fuzzy control strategy, developed in order to make a Mobile Vehicle(MV) run along with the traffic guidelines on the road, is presented. A neurocomputer is used in the control procedure and it learnt the driving knowledge to control the MV's actions. The image information of the guidelines is provided by a CCD camera on the top of the MV. The MV utilize the image information to identify the shape of the road and to decide the position of itself, and control the running actions. A fuzzy controller works on-line. Both of the neural controller and the fuzzy controller make up each other. This control method solve the problem of mechanical and electrical inertia and make the Mobile Vehicle run rapidly and smoothly.

  • The most common communication interface for automotive electronic control devices is CAN (Controller Area Network). Sine CAN was first adopted to Daimler vehicles in 1991, all of automobile manufacturers use the CAN communication for in-vehicle networks. However, as the number of electronic control devices connected to the CAN network rapidly increases, the CAN protocol reaches the limit of technology. To overcome this limitation, Bosch introduced the new communication protocol, that is CAN-FD (Flexible Data-rate). In this paper, we analyze the characteristics and limitations of CAN-FD communication according to the topology under the in-vehicle wiring harness environment designed based on the existing classic CAN communication.
