Design of an Efficient Power Manger through the cooperative Dynamic Power Management for Ad hoc Wireless Sensor Networks (Ad hoc 무선 센서네트워크에서의 효율 전력 매니지먼트에 관한 연구)

  • The major resource problem in sensor networks is energy efficiency. There are two major access methods to efficiently use energy. The first is to use dynamic power management (DPM). The second is to use energy efficient protocols. In DPM methods, the OS, the power manager, is responsible for managing the proper power state of CPU and each I/O with respect to the events, but the OS is not largely concerned about the internal operation of each network protocols. Also, energy efficient protocols are mainly focused on the power saving operation of the radio PHY. In addition, in wireless sensor network most of tasks are connected to communication. In such a situation, traditional power managers can waste unpredicted power. In this paper, we introduce an efficient power manger that can reduce a lot of unwanted power consumption through cooperative power management (CPM) in communication-related tasks between each units, such as radio, sensing unit, and CPU, for ad hoc wireless sensor nodes.

Target Prioritization for Multi-Function Radar Using Artificial Neural Network Based on Steepest Descent Method (최급 강하법 기반 인공 신경망을 이용한 다기능 레이다 표적 우선순위 할당에 대한 연구)

  • Target prioritization is necessary for a multifunction radar(MFR) to track an important target and manage the resources of the radar platform efficiently. In this paper, we consider an artificial neural network(ANN) model that calculates the priority of the target. Furthermore, we propose a neural network learning algorithm based on the steepest descent method, which is more suitable for target prioritization by combining the conventional gradient descent method. Several simulation results show that the proposed scheme is much more superior to the traditional neural network model from analyzing the training data accuracy and the output priority relevance of the test scenarios.

  • The study is to propose the reference model of Korean record management for integrated information resources management, based on the Korean regulative and administrative environments. Therefore, the study suggests the reasons why the electronic records must be come to the one of the national knowledge and information resources and reviews several integrated information management systems such as GKMS, KADO, ERA, EUN, and COVAX. Next, the study proposes the integrated records management system architecture, integrated national knowledge and information management environment architecture, and information technology architecture for Integrating resource management environment.

  • A management information system of the Nanji Islands National Marine Reserve is designed and constructed based on method of integration of remote sensing and geographic information system (GIS). The system consists of two sub-systems, dynamic monitoring information system and general database system. The former is used for storage and manage fundamental geographical data (topographical and bathymetric map), satellite remote sensing data (IKONOS, SPOT, IRS, NOAA and SeaWiFS etc.) and multimedia data. The latter is used for storage and manage resource data (shellfish and alga etc.), environmental data (meteorological and hydrologic) and in situ data. As part of electronic government, this system will be submitted to local government for monitoring, management and decision.

Challenges to Achieving Universal Health Coverage Throughout the World: A Systematic Review

  • Objectives: No systematic review has explored the challenges related to worldwide universal health coverage (UHC). This study reviewed challenges on the road to UHC. Methods: A systematic electronic search of all studies that identified the challenges of worldwide UHC was conducted, without any restrictions related to the publication date or language. A hand search and a bibliographic search were also conducted to identify which texts to include in this study. These sources and citations yielded a total of 2500 articles, only 26 of which met the inclusion criteria. Relevant data from these papers were extracted, summarized, grouped, and reported in tables. Results: Of the 26 included studies, 7 (27%) were reviews, 6 (23%) were reports, and 13 (50%) had another type of study design. The publication dates of the included studies ranged from 2011 to 2020. Nine studies (35%) were published in 2019. Using the World Health Organization conceptual model, data on all of the challenges related to UHC in terms of the 4 functions of health systems (stewardship, creating resource, financing, and delivering services) were extracted from the included studies and reported. Conclusions: This study provides a straightforward summary of previous studies that explored the challenges related to UHC and conducted an in-depth analysis of viable solutions.

  • The continuous increase in urban population due to migration of mases from rural areas to big cities has set urban water supply under serious stress. Urban water resources face scarcity of available water quantity, which ultimately effects the water supply. It is high time to address this challenging problem by taking appropriate measures for the improvement of water utility services linked with better understanding of demand side management (DSM), which leads to an effective state of water supply governance. We propose a dynamic framework for preventive DSM that results in optimization of water resource management. This paper uses Agent Based Modeling (ABM) with Digital Twin (DT) to model water consumption behavior of a population and consequently forecast water demand. DT creates a digital clone of the system using physical model, sensors, and data analytics to integrate multi-physical quantities. By doing so, the proposed model replicates the physical settings to perform the remote monitoring and controlling jobs on the digital format, whilst offering support in decision making to the relevant authorities.

  • Problems such as a limited frequency resource and interference between adjacent bands have been continuously raised because of rapidly developing wireless technology and communication service. In order to solve that problem, government has been developed and operating the Spectrum Management Intelligent System(SMIS). This paper compares the results simulated by SMIS with the ATDI and the Matlab coded provided by ITU-R for verification of SMIS operating for the public interests. The Recommendation ITU-R P.526, P.1546, and P.1812 among the propagation model loaded in SMIS were chosen because of the relation to the broadcasting service. The comparison and analysis result shows that the outputs derived by SMIS has the small error of less than 1 dB. This research could be utilized for the policy establishment and R&D for the frequency allocation and the interference between adjacent bands.

  • The environmental problem is a main subject of the 21C and an environment destruction phenomenon by various kinds of environmental materials is reaching serious level. Nations to be classified as the environmental developed country, are born again environmental rich country. And they earn a large income by trade Every kind environmental resource in an international commercial transaction. Especially, the study that a reliability assessment method to prevent to reliability problem to be happened when the solder lead(lead-free solder), non-cd component, non-bromide component(without the polybrominated biphenyls(PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDE))and hexavalent chromium(Cr VI) clearance component and mercury-free applied to electronic equipment is progressed. As the result of the study for applying of a reliability assessment technique of lead-free solder that recognized the most of urgent problem at the company, combination accelerated life test could taken by adding and appling the part of a humidity acceleration part to Eyring Model which is proposed by R.E.Thomas. The reliability assessment methods study of PWB clean environmental materials is expected to respond to a reliability elevation and environmental material regulation policy spreading all over the world by beginning form Europe.

  • Desktop virtualization technology running on the local computing system in the process of resource depletion or degradation, such as upgrading the system to solve problems and manage critical information and systems must be protected. In addition, a virtualized environment by constructing a convenient stand-virtualized infrastructure and user space, and security from external attack or internal flaw or a problem, even if the service fails to respond quickly and should help to recover. In this paper, a comprehensive virtualization technology based on the client's desktop virtualization technology elements needed to find a local computing environment more comfortable and stable in the proposed new virtualization technologies.

  • The Service had a purpose to be heard through the Smart Phone APP and Smart TV Broadcasting Contents to Foreigner's Language in The Asia Culture Center. This Paper explained how to realize foreigner with Beacon's Signal and IoT gateway provided the voice service with selected his language using AllJoyn Protocol Interface function. IoT Service Platform received the Registration of foreigner's identifier, there sent messages to all devices, which were all IoT gateways, IoT gateway could connect to foreigner's Smart Phone App and heard the Broadcasting contents. If a foreigner went out of Beacon's management distance, the voice App service were released.
