  • Electronic document communication based on a digital channel is becoming increasingly important with the advent of the paperless age. The electronic document based on PDF format does not provide a powerful customer experience for a mobile device user despite replacing a paper document by providing the content integrity and the independence of various devices and software. On the other hand, the electronic document based on HTML5 format has weakness in the content integrity as there is no HTML5 specification for the content integrity despite its enhanced customer experience such as a responsive web technology for a mobile device user. In this paper, we design the Document-HTML, which provides the content integrity and the powerful customer experience by declaring the HTML5 constraint rules and the extended tags to contain the digital signature based on PKI. We analyze the existing electronic document that has been used in the major financial enterprise to develop a sample. We also verify the Document-HTML by experimenting with the sample of HTML electronic communication documents and analyze the PKI equation. The Document-HTML document can be used as an authorized electronic document communication and provide a powerful customer experience in the mobile environment between an enterprise and a user in the future.

  • Electronic documents have characteristics that detecting whether an electronic document is modified or not is not an easy process. Thus verifying integrity of documents is very important for using electronic documents. To facilitate this process, various electronic document software provide digital signature capabilities on themselves. However, there were not much research on the security of digital signature function of software. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze the security of Adobe PDF, MS Word, Hancom Hangul, digital notary service and digital year-end-settlement service, and propose recommendations for implementation of digital signature funcion.

  • MS Office suit software is the most widely used electronic documents by a large number of users in the world, which has absolute predominance in office software market. MS Office 2007-2013 documents, which use new office open extensible markup language (OOXML) format, could be illegally used as cover mediums to transmit secret information by offenders, because they do not easily arouse others suspicion. This paper proposes nine forensic methods and an integrated forensic tool for OOXML format documents on the basis of researching the potential information hiding methods. The proposed forensic methods and tool cover three categories; document structure, document content, and document format. The aim is to prevent covert communication and provide security detection technology for electronic documents downloaded by users. The proposed methods can prevent the damage of secret information embedded by offenders. Extensive experiments based on real data set demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

  • As our society turns into the information age from the industrial one, the ministry of information and communication has set up functional software standards for electronic approval systems Several software houses have developed such systems in the client/server environment and subsequently for the intranet. Although electronic approval systems for the intranet have the advantages of less costly implementation and ease of use, they create heavy network traffic, and have a poor document processing functionality resulting from the lack of document processor in web environments. This paper describes a system design that web browsers utilize the resources of clients by adopting the ActiveX technique in order to improve such mallets mentions above. In other words, to use the Hangul word processor as a document processor, the ActiveX control and the Hangul DDE API have been implemented in the form of the DDE server/client, which is capable of mutual communication, and the flow of electronic approve system has been controled by connecting. As a result of running the implemented system lot three months through a real company in multi-server environment, it shows the high usage of electronic approval system as the tate roaches 75%-93% for some departments.

  • Electronic document processing using EDl (Electronic Data Interchange) must exchange documents using VAN (Value Added Network). However. the use of exclusive software needs alteration of a new document and the use of VAN(Value Added Network) demands an exchange of document and high cost for maintenance. Due to these problems, the existing EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) is turning into Web-based EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). This paper suggests techniques that change EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) messages which exist in two relational databases into XML (extensible Markeup Language) using the JDBC bridge. Also this paper proposes a method that recovers schema using converted XML (extensible Markeup Language) file, and a method which inserts an original record into a declared table. This solves the limitation of an original method that have to use sane database management system and also overcomes the problem in certain circumstances where the EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) exchange does not work.

  • Automotive systems have tended to be equipped with many electronic contents to satisfy safety, comport, convenience, and entertainment services over the past years. As a result, the amount of vehicle embedded software in electrical/electronic(E/E) systems is steadily increasing to manage these requirements. This leads to the traditional, document-based software development in the vehicle embedded systems being increasingly displaced by a model-based development in order to reduce software development time and cost. Due to the application of model-based development, a great evolution is being realized in the aspect of efficiency, but the development is being made without sufficient testing. So, erroneous automotive embedded software may cause serious problems such as car accidents which relate to human safety. Therefore, efficient methods for model-based test and validation are needed to improve software reliability in the stage of embedded software development. This paper presents the model-based development and test method for AUTOSAR embedded software to improve its reliability and safety, and it is demonstrated based on the case study.

  • There are many kinds of applications or software components to manage files in a local computer, but it is very difficult to organize personal documents in a consistent way and to search expected ones in a precise way. In this paper, we present our development of a document management and retrieval tool, which is named Ontalk. Our system provides a semi-automatic metadata generator and an ontology-based search engine for electronic documents. Ontalk can create and import various ontologies in RDFS or OWL for describing the metadata. Our system that is built upon.NET technology is easily communicated with or flexibly plugged into many different programs.

  • Korean public organizations create electronic documents through electronic document management systems under the e-Government scheme. A majority of these public documents are saved in vendor-dependent file formats, mainly HWP. Vendor-dependent formats can be opened only with specific software, which requires purchase. As the license does not guarantee compatibility between past and future versions, interoperability problems occur in long-term preservation, which need to be solved. Any error from the elimination of styles or no matching elements in document definition during conversion from vendor-dependent formats to the XML-based standard exchange format leads to file open failure or the modification of original documents. This study introduces the Open Document Format (ODF) and investigates the effects of adopting ODF in the creation, exchange, management, and preservation of public records.

The entrance of the Internet has a prominent for spread of Electronic Commerce and those phenomenons will result in paperless trading and cashless trade. By virtue of Internet, an increasing share of business transactions occurs online. Electronic payment is essential for the smooth progress of the electronic commerce as electronic payment plays the important role in the electronic commerce, that is, the value transfer restyling from the electronic commerce. Traditionally international settlement systems such as letters of credits, remittance and documentary collections operated as important and poplar method of payment, Now, information technology has made it possible to pay for the sale of goods and services over the internet. In international trade, there are service providers (bolero, TradeCard, BeXcom) to settle payment electronically through the Internet. The purpose of this study is to Conduct comparative analysis with approach manner functional respect systematic respect, role. It is shown which the Electronic payment system is better. In this study, the author attempts to find the problems is (bolero, TradeCard, BeXcom) and solutions in switching from the documentary payment system to the electronic one. This conclusion of this study can be summarized as followings. In resoect of the law, bolero should seek to prevert the users from being treated unfairly due to multilateral agreement on Rulebook. TradeCard, BeXcom do not have the proper law that users are governed. so far as the practice problems concerned, stability of computer's operation and security of message interchange should be warranted and improved continuously. Through the standardization of the electronic document and the development of software, the examination of the shipping occuments must be done automatically. Bolero should induce more banks to take part in Bolero, and make the carrier the cost and time in managing the traditional document which will be used for the time being. In respect of information technology and security, to deduce the risk in the electronic settlement system and positively uses the global authentication guideline(Identrus).
