다입력변수를 사용한 멀티형 공조시스템 압축기와 전자팽창밸브의 퍼지 제어 알고리즘 (Fuzzy Control Algorithms for the Compressor and the Electronic Expansion Valve of a Multi-type Air-conditioning System using Multiple Input Variables)

  • In order to control multi-zone temperatures, a multi-type air-conditioning system may be used. In this study, control algorithms for the compressor and the electronic expansion valve of a multi-type air-conditioning system were developed by using fuzzy logics. The compressor control algorithm was composed of a compressor pressure setpoint algorithm, a compressor pressure setpoint reset algorithm, and a compressor frequency setpoint algorithm. The electronic expansion valve control algorithm was composed of an indoor temperature control algorithm, and a superheat control algorithm. These algorithms were applied to a multi-type air-conditioning system. Test showed good results for the control of a multi-type air-conditioning system.

  • Numerical simulation has been made on the performance of an oil free air compressor for automotive electronic air suspension system. Calculation results on the flow rate at various air supply pressures were reasonably well compared to the experimental data. With the aid of the computer simulation program, parametric study on the compressor design parameters has also been carried out for the compressor performance improvement: Increase in the discharge port diameter or discharge valve stiffness was found to be effective to increase the flow rate per unit compressor input for the present compressor model.

효율적인 4-2 Compressor와 보상 특성을 갖는 근사 곱셈기 (Approximate Multiplier With Efficient 4-2 Compressor and Compensation Characteristic)

  • 근사 컴퓨팅은 효율적인 하드웨어 컴퓨팅 시스템을 설계하기 위한 유망한 방법이다. 근사 곱셈은 고성능, 저전력 컴퓨팅을 위한 근사 계산 방식에 사용되는 핵심적인 연산이다. 근사 4-2 compressor는 근사 곱셈을 위한 효율적인 하드웨어 회로를 구현할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 저면적, 저전력 특성을 갖는 근사 곱셈기를 제안하였다. 근사 곱셈기 구조는 정확한 영역, 근사 영역, 상수 수정 영역의 세 영역으로 나누어진다. 새로운 4:2 근사 compressor를 사용하여 근사 영역의 부분 곱 축소를 단순화하고, 간단한 오류 수정 방식을 사용하여 근사로 인한 오류를 보상한다. 상수 수정 영역은 오차를 줄이기 위해 확률 분석을 통한 상수를 사용하였다. 8×8 곱셈기에 대한 실험 결과, 제안한 근사 곱셈기는 기존의 4-2 compressor 기반의 근사 곱셈기보다 적은 면적을 요구하면서 적은 전력을 소비함을 보였다.

Vibration Analysis of a Rotary Compressor

  • The vibration of a rolling piston type rotary compressor for air-conditioning use is analyzed numerically and experimentally. Multibody dynamic analysis methods to predict the vibration are given. The compressor is modeled as a multibody system composed of bodies, joints, and force elements. Experimental results are shown to compare with simulation results. A sensitivity study using different variables that affect the compressor vibration is also carried out. It is found that the mass of the weight balancer plays an important role in acceleration.

  • In this paper, an accelerated degradation test procedure for an electronic appliance compressor is proposed. We investigate the amount of wear of the compressor and consider several factors as accelerating factors. Finally we select the operating pressure as a main accelerating factor. The test condition of accelerated degradation test is determined. The modified accelerating test reduces the test time in design phase by using the suggested accelerating factor.

  • Energy consumption of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems is responsible for about 25 to 30% of the energy demand especially in hot seasons. This equipment is mostly electricity dependent and their use in principle affects negatively the environment. Enhancing the energy efficiency of the existing equipment is important as one of the measures to reduce environment impacts. This paper reports the results of an experimental study to evaluate the impacts of the use electronic expansion valve and variable velocity compressor on the performance of vapor compression refrigeration system. The experimental rig is composed of two independent circuits one for the vapor compression system and the other is the secondary fluid system. The vapor compression system is composed of a forced air condenser unit, evaporator, hermetic compressor and expansion elements, while the secondary system has a pump for circulating the secondary fluid, and an air conditioning heat exchanger. The manufacturer's data was used to determine the optimal points of operation of the system and consequently tests were done to evaluate the influence of variation of the compressor velocity and the opening of the expansion device on the performance of the refrigeration system. A fuzzy logic model was developed to control the rotational velocity of the compressor and the thermal load. Fuzzy control model was made in LabVIEW software with the objective of improving the system performance, stability and energy saving. The results showed that the use of fuzzy logic as a form of control strategy resulted in a better energy efficiency.

  • 본 연구는 전자팽창밸브의 개도변화에 따른 가변속 수냉각기의 용량제어 특성에 관한 논문이다. 인버터에 의한 가변속 압축기를 사용한 냉각기를 최적으로 제어하기 위한 선행 연구이며 압축기 회전수별로 제어대상인 전자팽창밸브를 조절하여 증발기 출구의 과열도를 일정한 값으로 제어함으로써 최적의 냉각능력을 얻을 수 있는 과열도 값을 찾는 것을 목표로 하였다. 본 실험의 결과 압축기 회전속도가 일정할 때 팽창 밸브의 개도변화에 따라서 냉각능력이 최대가 되는 지점의 개도량을 실험을 통해서 파악할 수 있었다.

  • In this study, we presented a system to measure inside diameters of parts of compressor. This system solved problems of air micrometer and improved measurement accuracy by using linear variable differential transformer. The system was designed for production line which require accurate and reliable measuring system. And the system is easier and faster to use than air micrometer and can be applied various measuring area.

m-GDI 압축 회로를 이용한 고성능 곱셈기 (High-Performance Multiplier Using Modified m-GDI(: modified Gate-Diffusion Input) Compressor)

  • 압축 회로는 고속 전자 시스템에서 널리 사용되며 곱셈기의 피연산자 수를 감소시키기 위해 사용된다. 본 논문에서 설계한 압축 회로는 m-GDI(: modified Gate-Diffusion Input) 기술을 사용하여 회로의 성능을 향상시켰으며, 4-2, 5-2 및 6-2 압축 회로를 각각 8비트 Dadda 곱셈기 사용하여 성능을 비교하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 5-2 압축 회로를 사용한 곱셈기는 4-2 압축 회로와 6-2 압축 회로를 사용한 곱셈기에 비해 전파 지연 시간이 각각 13.99%와 16.26% 감소하였고, PDP(: Power Delay Product)가 각각 4.99%와 28.95% 절감되였다. 하지만 5-2 압축 회로를 사용한 곱셈기는 4-2 압축 회로를 사용한 곱셈기에 비해 소비 전력이 10.46% 증가하였다. 결과적으로 5-2 압축 회로를 사용한 곱셈기가 4-2 및 6-2 압축 회로를 사용한 곱셈기보다 우수한 성능을 갖는 것을 확인하였다. 설계한 회로는 TSMC 65nm CMOS 공정을 사용하여 구현되었으며 SPECTER 시뮬레이션을 통해 그 가능성을 검증하였다.

가변속 열펌프의 냉매 유량제어에 의한 난방성능 변화에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Investigation on the Variation of Heating Performance Due to the Refrigerant Flow Control in a Variable-Speed Heat Pump)

  • An experimental study was conducted to investigated the effect of refrigerant flow control on the performance of a variable-speed heat pump operating in both cooling and heating mode. For this purpose, cooling and heating capacity, EER and refrigerant mass flow rate corresponding to an electronic valve as well as a capillary tube were measured as functions of compressor speed, length of capillary tube (or valve opening of the electronic valve), refrigerant charge, and outdoor temperature. From the comparison of experimental results, it was found that the performance variation due to the electronic valve opening became significant as the operating conditions(outdoor temperature and compressor speed) deviated from the standard condition at which heating capacity and EER were rated for the indicated capillary tube.
