  • This study identified overlap of male innovativeness and of opinion leadership across product class. Product class include clothing, hairstyle and cosmetics, small electronic appliances, large electronic appliances, interior supplies, sports and leisure supplies, and cars. 423 male adults working in Seoul area was surveyed using questionnaire. Results of statistical analysis supported that innovativeness and opinion leadership are not monomorphic but polymorphic across product class. Higher degree of overlap and higher degree of correlationship of innovativness and of opinion leadership exist across product class which share similar characteristics such as clothing-cosmetics, small electronic appliances-large electronic appliances. Innovative communicator ranged from 5.0% to 11.4% in which percentage of innovative communicator was highest in the case of clothing purchase.

  • In general, the main dielectric materials for EHV electric appliances were epoxy, EPDM and Silicone rubber. The Silicone rubber has been rosed so many among them in EHV appliances in the worldwide, especially in Europe and North America. The reason why it is very stable in the thermal, mechanical and electrical environment. Therefore it is still becoming increasingly widespread in the application of the EHV appliances as a main dielectric material. On this study, investigated about real appliances and tested on basic properties of the Silicone rubber compared to organic dielectric material that is EPDM. At the result, the Silicone rubber is more dominant as main dielectric material for EHV appliances than any other organic polymers.

  • Generally, electronic appliances are used on the basis of normal power source supply. The power source inevitably includes the abnormal condition, such as, sudden voltage sagging, power interrupt, and induced noises. As the electronic appliances which include micro-controller-based circuits are being increased recently, the controller circuit sometimes malfunctions by the abnormal condition of the power source. This situation causes serious problems such as hitch of electric appliance, fire and medical instrument glitch, which produces serious situations. In this paper, development of power interrupt tester which is highly suitable for an endurance test device under abnormal power source to microprocessor-based circuits is proposed 89C2051 microcontroller is performed to make power interrupt signal, and software controls peripheral hardwares and built-in functions. Experimental results of this study will offer a good application to electronic appliance maker as a test device of hardware and software debugging use.

  • The purposes of this study were to identify the needs for ubiquitous home services in residential environment of elderly single or elderly couple households living without children and also to analyze the differences of the needs according to their demographic and housing characteristics. For this study, a literature review and field works on ubiquitous home services for older people were performed. Also, 1 to 1 interview by using the questionnaire which was developed by the researchers in this study was conducted and 270 elderly residents in Seoul and Gyeonggi-Do were responded. Seventy-one ubiquitous service items which were adopted to home electronic appliances and furniture for older people were developed for 1 to 1 interview questionnaire. The major findings of the study were as follows: the elderly residents expressed highest need for ubiquitous home service items related to safety and health issues. Among ubiquitous service items applied to gas stove, vacuum cleaner, TV, telephone, sofa and toilet, the items related to safety and health aspects were most needed. And residents' income level and health status were the two major variables to show group differences in the need of ubiquitous home services. In other words, the elderly residents who were high income and frail tended to have the highest demand for ubiquitous home services adopted to home electronic appliances and furniture.

  • We have been designed and developed a security system including home automation with control of electronic appliances. The system can detect intruders using infrared sensors and monitor rooms or offices in real time by web camera. The password was needed to enter a house or office. The operation of home electronic appliances also can be easy and remotely controlled by Internet. The system was designed by VHDL. The size of the fabricated system is small and it showed good performance.

  • Recently, the Smart household appliances to provide Smart services have been actively spreaded by providing IoT(Internet of Things). Also, the appliances which Wi-Fi and Bluetooth can directly control are preferred. But until now, the most household appliances are based on IR(InfraRed) and the each procotols of them are different. In this paper, to solve these problems, we suggested the system to control both smart appliances and general appliances by using Smart phone. The system is "Wi-Fi to IR" gateway which receives the Wi-Fi signal to convert to IR signal and transmit it. Also, we made the remote control function in specific brands' appliances possible to most brands without limitation and tried to control not only one remote controller for one TV brand but also for all brand without limitation.

  • Has been released of make it possible to control the using for smart devices of a wide variety home appliances and electronics in smart appliances in accordance with the one person multi devices. In addition, is increasing rapidly for the number of the product on cleaning robot and refrigerator, air conditioning, TV, etc. these devices are using the implement up DLNA system. And at home and abroad for development and has provided with Iot and Alljoyn such systems. But currently using home appliances or electronic devices of there are a lot of the operating system non installed than the installed products. In addition, smart appliances do not use for user than buying existing electronic products a lot more. In addition, more occur for smart appliances of that do not use for the user on smart appliances rather than buying existing electronics. In this paper, Suggested and implemented for system of control such as smart devices to existed home appliance on not have an operating system, Using mobile device for want users to quantify the data to transfer from arduino board.

  • The brand and product awareness of Korean electronics companies in the North American market has grown significantly and North American consumers has been recognized as an innovative technology products good performance of Korean electronics appliances. The consumer need of energy saving has led to a rise in market share because Korean electronics appliances have the excellence in energy saving aspects. The expansion of smartphones and mobile devices and the development of smart grid technology can affect electronics market. Domestic companies are continuously develop new product to provide consumers convenient with a variety of additional features combined consumer products. This study proposes a convergence model for sales prediction of electronic appliances using sales data of A company from the North American market. We develop the convergence model for sales prediction based on based on artificial neural network and genetic algorithm. In addition, we validate the superiority of the proposed convergence model by comparing the prediction performance of traditional prediction models.

  • Ground connection began by experimenting lightning with the use of a kite and it means electric appliances, communication equipments, measuring instruments and so on connecting the Earth in order to flow away overcharged electricity. There are two kinds of earth connection: Power Ground and Signal Ground. Power Ground is for preventing an electric shock and in general there's no current in the connector. However in an accident, there's a quick flow of electricity out to the Earth. Signal Ground is not only for the safety of appliances but also for the safety of equipment operation. This paper is about connection for noise and interference reduce in order to prevent wrong operation and distortion of signal in the electrical appliances which can take place in cable TV.

  • In this paper, we studied about an consolidated transportation model to transport EOL (end-of-life) electronic household appliances for recycling in South Korea. The objective is to minimize the total traveling distance of the vehicles transporting EOL electronic household appliances collected by local authorities and major manufacturers' distribution centers to assigned R/C(recycling center) in South Korea. Current reverse logistics for recycling EOL electronic household appliances is operated by local authorities and major manufacturers individually, and it is inefficient for the following reasons: excessive traveling distance, transportation cost, low truck capacity utilization, and so on. The presented model is developed to solve this problem. We apply a integer programming to solve this problem and present computational results using actual field data.
