지상도체 변화에 따른 초전도 반발식 자기부상 특성 해석 (Analysis on the Characteristics of the Superconducting Electrodynamic Suspension According to the Variation of the Ground Conductor)

  • 본 논문에서는 초고속 자기부상열차의 유력한 후보가 될 수 있는 초전도 반발식 자기부상의 특성을 연구하기 위한 반발력을 3차원 유한요소 자기 해석을 통하여 계산하고 분석하였다. 본 해석의 결과에 따르면 움직이는 부분이 없는 정지형 시험기는 반발식 자기부상시험기로써 적용될 수 있다.

고온초전도 자기부상자석의 최적설계에 관한 연구 (Study on the Optimal Design for HTS Magnetic Levitation Magnet)

  • 본 연구에서는 초고속 자기부상열차의 개발을 위한 기초연구의 성격을 가지고 있는 고온초전도 자기부상자석의 최적 설계를 수행하였다. 고온초전도 자기부상자석은 임계전류, 발생자장, 지상도체 등을 고려하여야 하는데 3차원 수치해석법을 이용하여 권선의 구조를 설계하였다. 권선의 형태로써 더블팬케이크형 고온초전도 권선을 선택하였으며 일정한 길이의 초전도선으로 최적의 부상조건을 가지는 구조를 도출하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 조건은 총 800m 고온초전도선을 사용하는 가정 하에 piece length 400m로 내경 100mm인 더블팬케이크형 코일 2개를 제작하여 직렬로 연결한 부상자석이다. 제작한 자석의 인덕턴스는 279.4mH였으며 임계전류는 42A 였다. 인덕턴스, 발생자장 모두 설계 시 제시한 계산 값과 일치하는 결과를 보여주었으므로 본 연구는 성공적으로 수행되었다고 할 수 있으며 본 결과는 향후 초전도 자기부상자석의 설계에 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • To the optimization design of molded case circuit breakers(MCCBs), it is necessary and important to calculate the electro-dynamic repulsion force acting on the movable conductor. With 3-D finite element nonlinear analysis, according to the equations among current-magnetic field-repulsion force and taking into account the ferromagnet, contact bridge model is introduced to simulate the current constriction between contacts, so Lorentz and Holm force acting on the movable conductor and contact, respectively, can be integrated to calculate. Coupled with circuit equations, the opening time of movable contact also can be obtained using iteration with the restriction of contact force. Simulation and experiment for repulsion forte and opening time of five different configuration models have been investigated. The results indicate that the proposed method is effective and capable of evaluating new design of contact systems in MCCBs.

  • The magnet wheel which generates on its interfacing conductive part a repulsive force and a traction torque by rotation of permanent magnets is used to manipulate the conductive plate without mechanical contact. Here, the air-gap magnetic field of the magnet wheel is shielded partially to convert the traction torque into a linear thrust force. Although a magnitude of the thrust force is constant under the fixed open region, we can change the direction of force by varying a position of the shield sheet. So, the spatial position of conductive plate is controlled by not the force magnitude from each magnet wheel but the open position of shield sheet. This paper discusses non-contact conveyance system of the conductive plate using electromagnetic forces from multiple magnet wheels.

  • The behaviour of contactors protected by arcs under short-circuit currents is analysed using a simple model to represent the electric circuit and the contactor. In most cases, the protection of contactors against short-circuit currents is entrusted to fuses. Fuses are suitable for preventing excessive damage to the contactor, or parts of the contactor, under short-circuit conditions. In particular, they are capable of limiting the thermal and electrodynamic stresses which can lead to arcing or welding together of the contacts of a contactor. This paper is the Dynamic Motion Analysis of a Moving Contact by Electromagnetic Repulsion Force in Molded Case Circuit Breaker(MCCB)

  • Pneumatic exciters can be good replacements of electrodynamic, piezoelectric and hydraulic exciters owing to simple structure and large exciting force. One problem to be solved is a slow response caused by compressibility of air. Desirable frequency response characteristics of exciter are constant magnitude and zero degree phase, because users want no time delay between input signal and output force. For this reason, frequency range of pneumatic exciters is limited about 0~1 Hz. Therefore, expansion of frequency range is an important issue when designing the pneumatic exciter. In this paper, the pneumatic exciter which has same structure with active pneumatic isolator is dealt with. The dynamic characteristics are presented, and its limitation of expanding frequency range is shown based on analytical studies. Then the pneumatic exciter with dual-chamber is suggested to overcome this problem. Based on simulation study, a design method is presented.

  • 아진공 튜브 안을 부상한 상태로 주행하는 캡슐트레인은 공기저항력 및 마찰력을 획기적으로 줄임으로써 초고속 주행이 가능하다. 캡슐트레인에서 부상방식으로 사용되는 초전도 유도 반발식 부상은 부상 공극이 커서 인프라 건설비용이 저렴하고 별도의 부상제어가 필요 없는 장점이 있지만, 부상·안내 공극의 변화가 크고 부상 및 안내력에 댐핑 특성이 작아 주행 안정성 및 승차감을 악화시킬 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 초전도 유도 반발식 부상방식에 기반한 캡슐트레인의 동특성 해석 모델을 구축하고 이를 활용하여 캡슐트레인의 주행 특성을 분석하였다. 먼저 초전도 유도 반발식 부상에 있어서 동특성에 중요한 영향을 미치고 속도 및 공극 변화에 따라 비선형적인 특성을 보이는 부상 및 안내 강성을 도출하였고, 이러한 강성이 반영된 캡슐트레인의 3D 동특성 해석 모델을 구축하였다. 구축된 모델을 이용하여 캡슐트레인의 속도별 주행 특성이 승차감에 미치는 영향과 곡선 주행, 튜브 처짐 및 튜브 연결부 단차 등과 같은 주행 환경이 차량의 동특성 및 주행 안정성에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다.

축형 자기차륜을 이용한 전도성 환봉의 비접촉 조작 (Non-Contact Manipulation of Conductive Rod using Axial Magnet Wheels)

  • When a conductive rod is put within rotating axial magnet wheels arranged parallel, three-axial magnetic forces generate on the rod. In some region, the forces has a property of negative stiffness, thus they can be applied to noncontact conveyance of the rod without a control load. Apart from the passive driving, the magnet wheel should be controlled for the rod to be stayed at the still state or be moved in a specified velocity. But, because a control input is just the rotating speed of the magnet wheel, the number of input is less than that of variables to be controlled. It means that levitation force and thrust force increase at the same time for increasing wheel speed, resulting from a strong couple between two forces. Thus, in this paper, a novel method, in which the longitudinal motion of the rod is controlled indirectly by the normal motion of the rod with respect to the wheel center, is introduced to manipulate the rod without mechanical contact on space.

Study of a Hybrid Magnet Array for an Electrodynamic Maglev Control

  • This paper introduces an innovative hybrid array consisting of both permanent and electro magnets. It will enable us to develop an active control mechanism for underdamped electro-dynamic suspension (EDS) Maglev systems. The proposed scheme is based on the Halbach array configuration which takes the major technical advantage from the original Halbach characteristics: a strongly concentrated magnetic field on one side of the array and a cancelled field on the opposite side. In addition, the unique feature of the proposed concept only differs from the Halbach array with permanent magnets. The total magnetic field of the array can be actively controlled through the current of the electro-magnet's coils. As a result, the magnetic force produced by the proposed hybrid array can also be controlled actively. This study focuses on the magnetic characteristics and capability of the proposed array as compared to the basic Halbach concept. The results show that the proposed array is capable of producing not only an equivalent suspension force of the basic Halbach permanent magnet array but also a controlled mode. Consequently, the effectiveness of the proposed array confirms that this study can be used as a technical framework to develop an active control mechanism for an EDS Maglev system.
