패치형 웨어러블 심전도 측정 시스템을 위한 접착성 폴리우레탄 기반의 용량성 전극 (Adhesive Polyurethane-based Capacitive Electrode for Patch-type Wearable Electrocardiogram Measurement System)

  • Wearable medical device has been a resurgence of interest thanks to the development of technology and propagation of smart phone in recent years. Various types of wearable devices have been introduced and available in market. Capacitive coupled electrode which measures electrocardiogram over cloth is able to be applied wearable device. In previous approaches of capacitive electrode, they need proper pressure for stable contact of the electrode to body surface. However, wearable device that gives pressure on body surface is not suitable for long-term monitoring. In this study, we proposed adhesive polyurethane-based capacitive electrode for patch-type wearable electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring device. Self-adhesive polyurethane make the electrode and whole system be adhered to the surface of skin without any pressure. The patch-type system is consisted of analog filter, analog-to-digital converter and wireless transmission module and designed to be attached on the body as a patch. To validate the feasibility of the developed system, we measured ECG signal in stable and active state and extracted heart rate. Therefore, we observed skin response after long-term attachment for biocompatibility of the adhesive polyurethane and adhesive strength of it. The result shows the possibility of applying the developed system for ECG monitoring in real-life.

  • This paper describes a lighting warning system (LWS) which consists of a corona needle electrode, a low noise differential amplifier, an A/D converter, an one-chip microprocessor, a LCD and alarm devices. The corona needle electrode is used to measure electric field intensity caused by thunderclouds on the ground level. To evaluate the sensitivity of the LWS, calibration experiment was carried out using a round-shape parallel plate electrode system. The theoretical and experimental results show that the LWS can measure electric field intensity over 2 [kV/m].

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze effects of filtering system of cutting fluid which is used for machining silicon electrode. For the research, different sizes of filter clothes are applied to check grain size of sludge of cutting fluid. Surface roughness of machined workpiece, depth of damage inside of silicon electrode, and suspended solids of cutting fluid are experimented and analyzed. From these experiments, it is verified that filtering system of cutting fluid is very important factor for machining. Results of this study can affect various benefits to the semiconductor industry for better productivity and better atmospheric pollution in workplace.

경락노선상 직류 전위 측정에서의 문제점 (The Problems in the Measurement of DC Potential on Meridian Skin Area)

  • Background and purpose: The measurement of direct current (DC) potential on skin area of meridian has recently been adopted to explore the electrophysiological characteristics of meridian system, But there exists two problems to be explained; the entity of the DC potential to be measured and the characteristics of electrode gel interface of measurement system, It is not clear whether the DC potential reflect, at least hypothetically, the entity of meridian, and if there exist any unstable factor in the DC potential measurement system. Methods: In this study, we designed an electronic circuit model of skin and applied known DC potential sources $({\pm}10.75mV,\;0mV)$ to the electrode interface of the skin model. Results: The result showed that the measured DC potential changed according to the time, and the same phenomenon was observed when the electrode gel was replaced with an electric condenser. It is suggested that the measurement of DC potential on electrode gel interface is very difficult and produces unstable values due to the capacity effect of electrode gel. Conclusion: Further studies on the DC potential evaluation in the context of meridian study should consider and bypass this problem.

탄소혼합물 접지전극의 접지임피던스의 특성 (Characteristics of Grounding Impedances of Carbon Compound Grounding Electrodes)

  • This paper presents characteristics of frequency-dependent grounding impedance and transient grounding impedance for the carbon compound grounding electrode used in the installation of computerized electronic equipment and lightning protection system. The frequency-dependent grounding impedances were measured by applying sinusoidal currents in the frequency range from 100 [Hz] to 10[MHz], and the transient grounding impedances were examined by subjecting the impulse current with the front-time between 1~80[${\mu}s$]. As a result, the ground resistance of the carbon compound grounding electrode is less than that of another type grounding electrodes. The transient grounding impedance is relatively low and the conventional grounding impedance is rather lower than the ground resistance. The frequency-dependent grounding impedance of the carbon compound grounding electrode is capacitive and the grounding impedance is decreased with increasing the frequency of injected currents. Therefore in the case that the carbon compound grounding electrode is jointly used with large-scaled grounding electrodes, it is possible to reduce the high frequency grounding impedance of the integrated grounding electrode system.

경사진 전극링에 의한 웨이퍼레벨패키지용 고균일도의 솔더범프 형성 (Formation of high uniformity solder bump for wafer level package by tilted electrode ring)

  • The vertical fountain plating system with the point contact has been used in semiconductor industry. But the plating shape in the opening of photoresist becomes gradated shape, because bubbles from the wafer surface are difficult to escape from the deep openings, vias. So, we designed the tilted electrode ring contact to get uniform bump height on all over the wafer and evaluated the film uniformity by SEM and $\alpha$-step. A photoresist was coated to a thickness of $60{\mu}m$ and vias were patterned by a contact aligner After via opening, solder layer was electroplated using the fountain plating system and the tilted electrode ring contact system. In $\alpha$-step measurement, film uniformities in the fountain plating system and the tilted electrode ring contact system were ${\pm}16%,\;{\pm}3.7%$ respectively. In this study, we could get high uniformity bumps by the tilted electrode ring contact system. So, tilted electrode ring contact system is expected to improve workability and yield in module process.

  • Recently, there are many equipment of electricity, electronics, and communication which need to grounding in the building. When the electric current flows into a certain grounding system in the same building, the potential rise of other grounding system is possible to be affected by its potential rise. This potential interference was affected by the surface potential, it is deeply related whit the electrode shape. In this paper, basic formula is deduced on the basis of both electrodes surface potential of grounding electrode in a source of the potential interference and groundidng electrode which receive the potential interference. Therefore the degree of potential interference as multiple groundidng electrode can be verified the simulated results by means of the simple model in advance. This is for investigating the grounding resistance of grounding electrodes, the experiment was performed with model-scale of the grounding system and the scaled model grounding system was to this experiment using a water tank of a stainless steel-hemisphere shape. since mesh electrodes have been widely in the general building, we're tried to analyze that this water tank model and it's simulation as well.

국제적인 10~20 전극시스템의 실용적인 방법에 관한 연구 (Study of Practical Method for International 10~20 Electrode System)

  • 뇌파검사는 뇌전증의 진단과 뇌 기능을 검사하는 것으로 이용된다. 임상병리사는 뇌파검뇌파 시행할 때 International 10~20 electrode system에 따라 정확하게 전극을 부착하고 인공산물 없이 의사들이 정확한 판독을 할 수 있게 뇌파를 기록하는 업무를 담당한다. 이러한 뇌파검사를 시행하는 임상병리사를 양성하기 위해 대학의 교육과정에서 실습시간을 통해 실무능력을 배양하게 되는데, 뇌파검사의 경우 정확한 전극 부착위치를 찾는 것이 학생들의 애로사항이었다. 본 연구에서는 전극부착위치를 쉽고 신속하게 찾아 학생들의 애로사항을 해결하기 위해 위치밴드를 제작하여 교과서에 기재된 줄자법과 전극 부착위치 찾는 방법을 비교하였다. 그 결과 피검자의 자세(앉은 자세 vs 누운 자세)에 따라 밴드법은 (196.7±61.8초 vs 200.2±49.3초), 줄자법은 (1281.0±457.4초 vs 1417.9±482.3초)로 앉은 자세일 때는 1084.3초(18.1분), 누운 자세일때는 1217.7초(20.3분)의 차이를 보여 줄자법보다 밴드법의 사용이 신속하다는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 전극 부착위치를 찾는데 영향을 줄 수 있는 교육과정 내의 뇌파 검사실습의 경험 유무와 피검자의 성별에 따른 차이에서도 밴드법은 줄자법보다 시간적인 차이가 적다는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 위치밴드를 사용한 줄자법을 사용하게 되면 대학의 교육과정에서 뇌파검사 실습시 애로사항이었던 전극 부착위치 찾는법을 신속하고 효율적으로 해결할 수 있다는 것을 확인하였고, 임상에서 신규 임상병리사들에게 교육하는데 적용도가 높을 것으로 사료된다. 다만 International 10~20 electrode system의 줄자법과 마찬가지로 전극 부착위치에 대한 정확성을 판정하는 기준에 대해서는 좀 더 연구가 필요할 것이다.

수중 방전과 공간전하제어에 의한 효과적인 산화성물질 발생특성 (Effective Oxidant Generation and Ion Precipitation Characteristics of Electrolyzing Cell by Discharge and Space Charge Control)

  • A new type electrolyzing cell with slits on parallel plate electrodes and wire-to-cylinder type electrode system has been proposed instead of the conventional parallel plate type. An investigation was carried out on the effect of the number and size of slits on ion precipitation and oxidant generation characteristics, evidenced by eliminated space charge limiting action and by elevated electric fields in active interelectrode spacing. And it is also studied on the effect of the diameter of wire electrode to ion precipitation and oxidant generation characteristics. With electrode with 48 slits, very oxidants generation water of 3.1 [ppmm] and 19.0 [ppmm] in positive electrode side were obtained with tap water and 0.1 [wt%] NaCl dissolved tap waterfed. In addition, with wire-to-cylinder type electrode system, it is found that oxidant contained water of 0.48 [ppmm] and 5.46 [ppmm] in positive electrode side were obtained with tap water and 0.1 [wt%] NaCl dissolved tap water fed for the case of discharge electrode diameter of 0.5 [$mm{\phi}$]. Consequently, very high ion precipitation and dense oxidant generation characteristics can be realized by having slits on the electrodes of conventional cell as these slits increase the electric fields and decrease the space charge limiting actions in interelectrode spacing.

Continuous Roll-to-Roll(R2R) sputtering system for growing flexible and transparent conducting oxide electrode at room temperature

  • We have investigated the characteristics of transparent indium zinc oxide(IZO)/Ag/IZO multilayer electrode grown on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrates using a specially designed roll-to-roll sputtering system for use in flexible device are described. By the continuous R2R sputtering of the bottom IZO, Ag, and top IZO layers at room temperature, we were able to fabricate an IZO-Ag-IZO multilayer electrode with a sheet resistance of 6.15 ${\Omega}$/square, optical transmittance of 87.4 %, and figure of merit value of 42.03 10-3 ${\Omega}$-1. In addition, the IZO-Ag-IZO multilayer electrode exhibited superior flexibility to the RTR sputter grown single ITO electrode, due to the existence a ductile Ag layer between the IZO layers. This indicates that the RTR sputtered IZO-Ag-IZO multilayer is a promising flexible electrode that can substitute for the conventional single ITO electrode grown by bath type sputtering for use in low cost flexible device, due to its low resistance, high transparency, superior flexibility and fast preparation by the R2R process.
