하전방식에 따른 전기싸이클론의 집진특성 (Collection Characteristics of Electro-Cyclone with Charging Type)

  • The main purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of precharge electro-cyclone compared to those of innercharge electro-cyclone, experimentally. Especially, the experiment is executed focusing on the improvement of collection efficiency with the charging types including the experimental parameters such as the discharge electrode shapes, applied voltages and gas inlet velocities. Results show that the overall collection efficiency of precharge electro-cyclone is increased over 20% than that of the innercharge type for the same discharge electrode(ø 4 mm, screw rod) in the inlet velocity of 4 m/s, and applied voltage of 30kV. Moreover, the pressure drop of precharge type becomes 10% lower than that of the innercharge type for the inlet velocity of 12 m/s owing to the disturbance of inner vortex flow by the discharge electrode equipped in the center region of cyclone body.

  • There are many electricity, electronics, and communication equipment which need to Grounding in the building. When electric current flows into a certain Grounding system in the same building, the potential of other Grounding system rises. This potential interference repuire surface potential of electrods by electrode shape. In this paper basic formula is deduced on the basis of both electrodes surface potential of Grounding electrode as a source of the potential interference and Grounding electrode which receive the potential interference. The degree of potential interference as multiple Grounding electrode is verified the simulated results by means of the simple model in advance.

  • A grounding electrode has the transient grounding impedance characteristics against lightning surges. So the performance of grounding electrodes should be evaluated as a grounding impedance as well as the ground resistance. The frequency-dependent grounding impedance is varied with the shape and size of grounding electrode and is divided into both inductive and capacitive behaviors. This paper presents a theoretical analysis for the grounding impedance determined by the size of grounding electrode using the distributed parameter circuit model. EMTP and Matlab programs were used in calculating the frequency-dependent grounding impedances of vertical grounding electrodes. It was found that the frequency-dependent grounding characteristics of vertical grounding electrodes are characterized by the distributed parameters which are changed in the dimension of grounding electrodes.

  • A typical Mold method is to form a gate electrode, a gate oxide, and emitter tip after fabrication of mold shape using wet-etching of Si substrate. In this study, however, new Mold method using a side wall space structure is used in order to make sharper emitter tip with a gate electrode. Using LPCVD(low pressure chemical vapor deposition), a gate oxide and electrode layer are formed on a Si substrate, and then BPSG(Boro phospher silicate glass) thin film is deposited. After, the BPSG thin film is flowed into a mold as high temperature in order to form a sharp mold structure. Next TiN thin film is deposited as a emitter tip substance. The unfinished device with a glass substrate is bonded by anodic bonding techniques to transfer the emitters to a glass substrate, and Si substrate is etched using KOH-deionized water solution. Finally, we made sharp field emitter array with gate electrode on the glass substrate.

  • The Partial breakdown (PBD) and complete breakdown (BD) voltage characteristics in a composite insulation system of glass fiber reinforced plastics (GFRP) and liquid nitrogen are investigated to find the PBB and BD characteristics in solenoid type high temperature superconducting (HTS) coils at quench. The electrode system used is made from a coaxial spiral coil-to-cylindrical electrode with an insulation barrier and spacers, and is immersed in liquid nitrogen. A heater is mounted inside the coil electrode to generate boiling which occurs on quenched superconducting coils. The experimental results show that: (1) breakdown voltages are affected severely by the risetime of the applied voltage and the PBD inception voltage, (2) two kinds of BD mechanisms are found depending on the shape of the spacer, length of cooling channel and heater power.

  • In this paper, a new method for calculating capacitance in multi-electrode system with arbitrarily shape is presented. This new approach based on divergence theorem and Gauss's law is achieved by Surface-Contacted Element(SCE) for Gaussian surface. To evaluate capacitance in multi-electrode system, two dimensional finite element method using only the elements which is contacted one nod (PE: Point-Element) or two nod (FE: Face-Element) with surface is employed. The proposed SCE method has short computing time to calculate capacitance which is because it uses only SCE elements and needs one calculation loop while exiting FEM method in servral loops. This method is verified by application in calculating capacitance using potential detection device model which is composed with anode, cathode, and floating electrode.

  • In this thesis, it is designed efficient electrode formation on the organic luminescent device. ITO electrode is treated with $O_2$plasma. In order to inject hole efficiently, there is proposed the shape of anode that inserted plasma polymerized films as buffer layer between anode and organic layer using thiophene monomer. It is realized efficiently electron injection to aluminum due to introduce the quantum well in cathode. In the case of device inserted the buffer layer by using the plasma poiymerization after $O_2$plasma processing for ITO transparent electrode, since it forms the stable interface and reduce the moving speed of hole, the recombination of hole and electronic ate made in the omitting layer. Compared with the devices without buffer layer, the turn-on voltage was lowered by 1.0(V) doc to the introduction of buffer layer Since the quantum well structure is formed in front of cathode to optimize the tunneling effect, there is improved the power efficiency more than two times.

새로운 유지전극 구조에 의한 ac-PDP 에서의 효율 개선에 관한 연구 (A study on the Improvement of the luminous efficiency with new sustaining electrode structurs in ac-PDPs)

  • Due to recent technology advances, needs for flat panel displays, plasma display panels(PDPs) whose advantages are simple structure, high resolution, wide viewing angle is increasingly expected to be the first flat panel of large screen, walt hanging TVs. But the luminance and luminous efficiency of color PDP is net up to the level of a CRT. So, New electrode shape which is different from the conventional electrode has to propose to improve the luminance and luminous efficiency. In this paper, we suggested new shaped electrodes. In new shaped electrode, the discharge current was reduced compared with conventional type by reducing the unnecessary diffusion loss near the barrier rib. However, the luminance was nearly the same as conventional type. So, the luminous efficiency improved about 35%.

  • This paper describes a lighting warning system (LWS) which consists of a corona needle electrode, a low noise differential amplifier, an A/D converter, an one-chip microprocessor, a LCD and alarm devices. The corona needle electrode is used to measure electric field intensity caused by thunderclouds on the ground level. To evaluate the sensitivity of the LWS, calibration experiment was carried out using a round-shape parallel plate electrode system. The theoretical and experimental results show that the LWS can measure electric field intensity over 2 [kV/m].

PERFORMANCE OF MULTILAYER CERAMIC ACTUATOR BY CONSIDERING THE SHAPE EFFECT

  • In the present study, the piezoelectricity and polarization of multilayer ceramic actuator, being designed to stack PMN-PZ-PT ceramic layers and Ag-Pd electrode layers alternatively, were investigated under a consideration of geometric factor, the volume ratio of the ceramic to the electrode layers. The actuators were fabricated by tape casting of 0.2Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-0.38PbZrO3-0.42PbTiO3 followed by lamination and burnout & co-firing processes. The actuators of 10 10 0.62 nm3 in size were formed in a way that 60 200 m thick ceramics were stacked alternatively with 5 m thick electrode layer. Increases in polarization and electric field-induced displacement with thickness of the ceramic layer were attributed to change of 90o/180o domain ratio, which was affected by interlayer internal stress. The piezoelectricity and actuation behaviors were found to depend upon the volume ratio (or thickness ratio) of ceramic to electrode layers.
