A Development of Turbine Simulator and Foundation Excitation Test (모사터빈 시험기 개발 및 기초가진 시험)

  • In this study, a turbine simuiator is designed and manufactured to investigate the transient response of an actual turbine. The rotor mass and bearing stiffness is reduced to 1/140 of its actual turbine. The dynamic characteristics of turbine simulator are similar to those of the actual turbine. The turbine simulator is excited by an electro-magnetic type exciter in the form of half sine wave. Duration time is con☞oiled by Sms, 10ms, and Isms, and maximum acceleration is applied by 3g. Foundation excitation test is performed in stationary condition and rotating condition(6000rpm). The test results can be used to verify the validif of the theoretical afproach for transient analysis of actual turbine.

The Shielding Effectiveness of Zn-Al Arc Thermal Metal Film Coated Cement-Mortar Using Copper Powder (Zn-Al 아크 금속용사 피막을 적용한 구리분말 혼입 시멘트 모르타르의 전자파 차폐 성능 평가)

  • In this study, the shielding effectiveness of the Zn-Al arc thermal metal film coated cement-mortar mixed with copper powder by reflection, absorption, multi-reflection loss in 2.25~2.65 GHz was reviewed. By enhancing the mixing ratio of copper powder, the shielding effectiveness by absorption and multi-reflection loss was increased, but shielding rate(%) based on 80 dB showed below 20%. The Zn-Al arc thermal metal film coated on specimen, the shielding rate increased 3.5 times by reflection loss.

Scattering analysis of laser beam drilling in porous ceramic materials (극초단 레이저를 이용한 기공성 세라믹 드릴링시 발생하는 레이저빔 산란해석)

  • Laser beam can be either absorbed or scattered in porous ceramic material and its optical characteristics need to be understood. Electro-magnetic multiphysics software was used to simulate and understand the actual scattering phenomena in porous materials. 785nm femtosecond laser was irradiated on the surface of ceramic material and strong scattering occurred in drilling process. The computer results showed the scattering and absorption phenomena of Aluminum oxide were a mixture of dielectric and metallic material. The computer simulation showed the laser beam was almost extinct at the aspect rate of 5 approximately.

  • The traveling wave type ultrasonic motor(USM) has no electro-magnetic circuits( coil or core). The driving principle of the USM is based on high-frequency mechanical vibrations and frictional force. The USM, thus, is fed by two-phase high - frequency sinusoidal inverter using its series resonant parasitic components. For the using of series resonant type inverter, it should be needed to a USM parasitic capacitance and a proper inductor chosen. In this paper, the values of optimal inductance are designed and the efficiency of USM drives is achieved. The effectiveness of the proposed design is demonstrated by experiments.

  • Ultrasonic guided waves are gaining increasing attention for the inspection of platelike and rodlike structures. At the same time, inspection methods that do not require contact with the test piece are being developed for advanced applications. This paper capitalizes on recent advances in the areas of guided wave ultrasonics and noncontact ultrasonics to demonstrate a superior method for the nondestructive detection of thinning defects simulating hidden corrosion in thin aluminum plates. The proposed approach uses EMAT(electro-magnetic acoustic transducer) for the noncontact generation and detection of guided plate waves. Interesting features in the dispersive behavior of selected guided modes are used for the detection of plate thinning. It is shown that mode cutoff measurements provide a qualitative detection of thinning defects. Measurement of the mode group velocity can be also used to quantify of thinning depth.

  • 오늘날 전자기파의 영향은, 제어장비의 내부에 있는 기판의 전자 부품에 전자기적인 충격을 주어 장비의 오동작이나 고장을 일으키는 등 심각한 문제들이 제기 되고 있다. 이러한 임펄스 전자기파는 제어 장치에 연결된 제어전선으로 타고 들어와서 전자장비 내부의 부품들과 반사,공진등을 일으켜서 결국에는 PCB(printed circuit board)에 손상을 입혀서 그 장치들을 사용 못하게 할 수가 있다. 주파수가 광대역인 50MHz 에서 800MHz 까지의 EMI(electro magnetic interference)환경을 만들 수 있는 장치를 제작 하였다. 이러한 UWB(ultra wide band)장치는 고전압펄스를 압축 성형하여, 동작시간이 아주 빠른 ultra fast 스위치를 통해서, 펄스의 기림 시간이 수백ps의 파형을 만들어, 안테나로 전송하여 공간으로 방사시키는 장치에 대해 설계 제작하여 실험한 결과에 대해 논하고자 한다.

  • 현장에서 많이 사용되고 있는 GIS에 결함이 발생하면 치명적인 사고로 진전될 수가 있다. 본 논문은 모의 GIS내 도전성 금속이물질 존재 시 발생되는 부분방전 신호를 절연 진단 방법중 하나인 UHF법을 이용하여 부분방전 시 방사되는 방사전자파의 스펙트럼을 분석해 금속이물질이 SF$_{6}$ 가스부분방전에 미치는 영향을 측정하였다. 이러한 연구는 현장 GIS 및 SF$_{6}$ 가스절연 전력설비에서 금속이물질에 의해 발생되는 절연파괴 사고의 방지에 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 사료된다.

  • 산업현장에서 많이 사용되고 있는 전력기기에 결함이 발생하면 치명적인 사고로 진전되어 큰 경제적, 인적 손실을 가져온다. 본 논문은 GIS에 사용되는 절연가스인 $SF_6$의 압력 변화에 따른 부분방전을 모의하고, 발생되는 부분방전 신호를 절연 진단 방법 중 하나인 UHF법을 이용하여 부분방전 시 방사되는 방사전자파의 스펙트럼을 분석하고, 접지로 흐르는 방전 전류를 측정하여 방전진전 과정을 관측하였다. 본 연구는 GIS 및 $SF_6$ 가스를 절연물로 사용하는 전력설비에서 내부압력 변화 시 금속이 물질에 의해 발생되는 절연파괴 사고의 예방진단에 유용한 자료가 되리라 판단된다.

Analysis of mechanical properties of microtubules under combined effects of surface and body forces for free and embedded microtubules in viscoelastic medium

  • Vibration is expected to occur in microtubules as tubular heterodimers. They oscillate like electric dipoles. Several research studies have estimated a frequency of vibration using the orthotropic model, a beam or rod like models and shell models, considering the surface forces. The effects of body forces on the dynamics of the microtubules were not yet taken into account. This study seeks to capture the body force effects on the vibration modes generated and on the corresponding frequency for microtubules. An orthotropic elastic shell model for the structural details of microtubules is used for the analysis. The tests are conducted out for microtubules, exposed to electro-magnetic and gravitational forces, the transverse vibration, radial mode vibration, and axial mode of vibration have accomplished. We therefore, evaluate and compare microtubules' frequencies with prior results of vibration frequency without the effects of body force.

The Studies on Qigong state Using EEG, fMRI, EAV and SQUID Measurments (EEG, fMRI, EAV 및 SQUID장치(裝置)를 이용(利用)한 기공현상(氣功現狀) 측정(測定))

  • Objectives : Human physiological changes in the state of qigong has been measured using EEG(Electroencephalography), functional MRI(functional Magnetic Resonance Image), EAV(Electro-Acupuncture according to Voll) and SQUID(Superconducting Quantum Interference Device) measurements. Methods & Results : EEGs were measured to study the differences between Qigong masters and Qi receiver on the changes of EEG. During Qigong, an alpha waves were increased. The power spectra indicate that the peak frequency of alpha waves increased during Qigong. Qi receiver's EEG signals seemed to affected by the state of himself. Brain activation did not observed when qigong master concentrates the Qi at Laogong(P8). But a localization of fMRI signal in the sensory cortex was observed by electric acupuncture stimulation at Laogong(P8). Five phase deviation of EAV were clearly changed in the both cases of Qigong master and Qi receiver. When a Qigong master concentrates the Qi at Yintang, Laogong(P8), Qihai(CV6) meridian points during Qigong state, the change of magnetic field around acupoints Yintang, Laogong points has been measured using 40-Channel DROS-SQUID apparatus. After smoothing process of the continuously measured magnetic signal around acupoints for a few minutes, we could observe that a series of peaks, magnitude of -1.0~2.5pT appeared. But there was no significant difference in changes of magnetic signal around acupoints. Physical signals of magnetocardiogram has been measured by using 2-Channel DROS SQUID(Magnetocardiogram). Physical signals of magnetocardiogram were clealy changed at the ST segments after S-wave when qigong master concentrates the Qi.
