765kV 2회선 송전선로를 765kV 및 345kV로 병행운전시 유도현상 예측 (Analysis of the electrostatic induction voltage and electromagnetic induction current on the Parallel Circuit in 765kV Double Circuit Transmission Line)

  • The western route of KEPCO's 765kV transmission line has been tentatively operating as 345kV voltage before commercial operation. After finishing the test operation of 765kV substation in 2002. KEPCO decided to operate the 765kV line for commercial operation. During the applying of 765kV voltage to the transmission line, double circuit transmission line will be operated with two voltage grades of 765kV and 345kV. Because the earthing switch is installed on both end of transmission line, we had estimated the electrostatic induction voltage and electromagnetic induction current before the line energizing in order to confirm the ratings of earthing switch. The induced voltage and current is very important for the maintenance of parallel circuit. This paper describes the simulation study of electrical phenomena such as electrostatic induction voltage from the parallel line and electromagnetic induction current from the parallel circuit. The transmission line model was developed by EMTP (Electro-Magnetic Transient Program).

  • This study developed and investigated a precast slab track system partially reinforced with glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) rebars in the transverse direction, which mitigated the loss of track circuit current by reducing magnetic coupling between the rails and steel reinforcements. An electric analysis was conducted and the results of the analysis verified that the GFRP rebars mitigate the reduced current strength produced by electro-magnetic induction. In the study, a three-dimensional finite element method and flexural experiments were used to study the mechanical behavior of the proposed slab track.

  • A computational method for analysis of the 3 dimensional electro-magnetic induction problems has been developed. The developed method is capable of modeling the induced current and analyzing its characteristics using only scalar Potential at each node. A benchmark model of asymmetrical conductor with a hole is analyzed to verify the application of the developed method. The calculated value of magnetic flux density are compared with the measured value, and the results indicate that the developed method is valid. Also, Comparing with 3-D finite element method (FEM) results, we conformed effectiveness of the developed method for the accuracy and computation times.

  • 솔레노이드 밸브는 전기에너지를 기계적인 운동으로 변환하는 장치로, 솔레노이드 코일에 전류를 인가할 때 자기장이 생성된다. 솔레노이드에서 발생하는 자기장의 크기는 코일의 권선 수, 전류의 세기 및 자성소재의 특성과 밀접한 관계가 있다. 자기력을 증가시키기 위해 코일의 권선 수, 전류의 세기를 증가시킬 경우, 밸브의 크기 및 무게가 증가하는 단점이 있다. 따라서 밸브의 크기를 줄이기 위해서는 솔레노이드 밸브 사용 환경에 적합한 자성소재의 선정이 중요하다. 본 연구는 솔레노이드 밸브 개발에 필요한 자성소재의 특성을 정리하였다.

  • In this paper, a high-performance control of the induction motor for electric car was implemented to escape dependence of the rare earth magnet. Proposed high-efficiency control algorithm is a Direct Rotor Field-Oriented Control method that is insensitive to the fluctuation of motor parameters. In the DRFOC method, we need to compensate fluctuation of stator transient inductance and magnetizing inductance caused by the magnetic saturation of induction motor in high-speed area. This paper proposes Back-EMF Observer based on stator current estimator of Luenberger style. Motor control system applied the Voltage Feedback Flux Weakening Control method for high-speed operation. The proposed algorithm was verified through tests by the power train of Extended Range Electric Vehicle consists of induction motor and differential gear.

The Performance Evaluation of a Hydraulic and Magnetic Clamp Device Manufactured to Transport with Safety the Curved Steel Plate Required for Shipbuilding

  • As a new technical approach, a hydraulic and magnetic clamp device was attempted to realize a magnetic clamp crane system that uses 8 simultaneously actuating individual hydraulic cylinders. Through this approach, a Sr type of ferritic permanent magnet ($SrO{\cdot}6Fe_2O_3$), not the previously employed electro-magnet, was utilized for the purpose of lifting and transporting the heavy weighted and oversized curved steel plates used for manufacturing the ships. This study is aimed at manufacturing and developing the hydraulic magnetic clamp prototype, which is composed of three main parts - the base frame, cylinder joint, and magnet joint - in order to safely transport such curved steel plates. Furthermore, this research was pursued to conduct a performance evaluation as to the prototype manufacture and acquire the planned quantity value and the development purpose items. The most significant item for a performance evaluation was estimated for the magnetic adhesive force (G) and in this process, a ferritic permanent magnet (Sr type) with 3700~4000 G of residual induction (Br) and 2640/2770 Oe of coercive force (Hc) was utilized. In addition, other relevant items such as hoist tension (kN), transportation time (sec), and the applied load (Kgf) exerted on the hydraulic cylinders were also evaluated in order to acquire the optimum quantity value. As a result of the evaluation, the relevant device turned out to be suitable for safely transporting the curved steel plates.

초소형 전자기 유도방식 에너지 하베스터용 연성 박막 다적층 평판 코일 설계 및 제작 (Design and Fabrication of Flexible Thin Multilayered Planar Coil for Micro Electromagnetic Induction Energy Harvester)

  • In this paper, an energy harvester is developed that has advantages regarding piezoelectric noise minimization, mass production, and an easily available environmental energy source, electromagnetic induction, as well as low-frequency bandwidth and high amplitude. A process for fabricating a three-dimensional multilayered planar coil using micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) on a flexible printed circuit board FPCB is introduced. Optimal shape and size were calculated via internal resistance and inductance, and a prototype was fabricated through the MEMS procedure while considering the possibility of mass production. Although the internal resistance matched the designed value, the electromotive force generated did not reach the intended amount. The main reason for the decrease in efficiency was the low area of coil outskirt exposed to the magnetic field while there was relative motion between the magnet and the coil.
